Way to go girls! With the new Guitar player BRITT LIGHTNING and new keyboardist TYSON LESLIE with JANET GARDNER voc, guit, the ever lovely SHARE PEDERSEN on bass and ROXY PETRUCCI on drums the girls (and one guy) have gained even more energy (if that's even possible) with this new line-up!!!

The girls still sound great! Roxy is still a total badass behind the drumkit. One of my favorite drummers ever.

They've always been HOT! As much as it's sad that Jan is no longer alive, she was and always will be amazing. You can tell throughout some of the live videos how much Janet is still very saddened over her passing, you can see this at the start of Big Brother', at another concert she dedicated Cryin' to her and she is emotionally touched whenever Jan is mentioned. Gina I thought was good, she had the passion and the attitude but watching Britt on these latest videos there is definitely a "freshness" about them that in reply to your question, yes they are hotter than before. Britt, as you can see at the start of Cryin' is still unsure on some of the songs and this is where you can see her looking for cues on how to start. Share always looks youthful anyway and Roxy has always had that amazing energy that many drummers fail to have, Janet looks younger here too, I wonder if she's had facial surgery at all. But yes, they're all so damn HOT!
Let's not forget Heart and also the Runaways too. Lita Ford, Joan Jett who were the first to start opening the doors for female rockers back in the 70's. Back in the day when male rockers were telling the girls they had no place in rock \m/
Like fine wine, these ladies age VERY WELL...and in addition, they STILL KICK COMPLETE ASS!! Loved them since the 80s!
Its great to see the girls / women still sounding and looking great at 50! Thanks for the upload, and though those of us old enough to be teenagers in the mid 80's really miss Jan, the new guitarist Britt, can definatley shred, she compliments Roxy and Share. Great stuff.. rock on ladies
Sometimes I get the impression that the big magnitude of the loss of the great Jan Kuehnemund is not yet appreciated in its right dimension. You can get excellent guitarists, from the best of the rock of the moment but the great heart and soul that injected Jan to the music and that gave identity and personality to Vixen as do the greatest musicians is simply irreplaceable, nothing easy to replace one of the greatest Hard Rock guitarists of all time. So it has been very difficult for me to accept Vixen without Jan as Black Sabbath without Tony Iommi or Led Zeppelin without Jimmy Page, but I recognize the great effort of his very talented, virtuous and beautiful bandmates to keep going and keep his legacy alive.

i saw vixen in 2006 at pea bodys in cleveland ohio. They rocked just like i remember.
I cannot believe i missed the multi band concert in toledo ohio on march 25th with vixen. it is a mere 90 minutes away.

I saw this band or at least a version of this band in the mid 80's in a bar in Albuquerque NM and they were awesome from what I can remember. :-) Nothing like an all female band that actually plays all the instruments. Still sound good to me.

Gina was ok but too many pinch harmonics. Britt is more like Jan was ,crisp and clear. Vixen rocks once again

Yeah Praise God. It looks like tattoo removal is going to be big business soon.
The demographics vary and are multi-generational (ie, bikers) but for the most part it seems that females have taken it upon themselves that getting all tattooed up was attractive. Placing tattoos on the biceps and shoulders especially are really not very becoming for a female.

To those commenting on how crying was bad please remember this is live and people's voices change throughout their lives. Elton John of now sounds way different from his 70s self, for example.
For the record, Elton also had vocal surgery of some sort about 20 years ago which brought his register down because it had to. But as a former singer myself, I def do agree, it can be a huge challenge to retain what the voice can do when it was younger, especially certain types of voices. A huge part is also the vocal styles involved. Barry Manilow will be able to maintain his voice and range much easier than say a Geoff Tate will (tho he's done pretty well over the years all things considered).

Impressive musicians. One thing I love about their looks: no tatoos (except bass).
That would be because they come from an era when female mental/emotional instability didn't require latching on to the fad of getting tatts to prove it. Also in part because weren't a fraction as unstable as young women are today.

WTF? You might be surprised what people are hiding under their corporate suits. From what i have seen in my life political belief has very little to do with whether someone has tattoo's, it's more of a personal choice. I would never get one, but to each his/her own. That's the American way! Something far too many abandon because of their own arrogant beliefs. .

Isnt is odd how guys like Vince Neil look today yet these Women look good? Something tells me its lifestyle.
I like Vince, so I don't intend to slam him at all, but he has never lived a clean lifestyle to my knowledge, and, he's not all that bright. I saw some "makeover" show recently that was actually quite a while back having Vince get face work done when he was barely 40 if I recall, which is obnoxiously ridiculous, when he could've just cut out the drinking and ate cleaner and would've looked much much better.
Plus, of course, women's looks are held to a higher standard. Men can of course BE slobs and get away with it much more readily. Vixen has aged extremely well, not even including their great dispositions. I met them in the late 80's before a concert, great girls.
+Dale Barger Alice is also now a hard-core christian. :(

I like Vixen but that version of Cryin is awful. The harmony is way off key good grief.
Have you ever tried playing live on stage, giving it your all in the sweltering heat? I have and it's a killer, but you get through it the best you can and rock it all out. These girls were amazing, and if you think the harmony is way off then so what, that's what live music is all about. Ozzy couldn't sing to save his life and many "manufactured" pop stars can't even sing live anyway. \m/

Robert Esposito yes could've been better but given the circumstances it was still a great performance. I was more concerned over one of the solos that Britt did, sounded a little off on a couple of notes. But again, sweltering heat.
They were and are part of the reason that made people think of the '80's as cheesy.
The women are alright, but it is basically a male dominated art form.
