Well when you have someone in it that can take control of the controls that analogy is perfect.
Incidentally, the helmsman is the one that steers the ship. Sips being the captain would mean Xanu controls the body while Sips tells him what to do. Which is in some ways what seems to be happening.

Full ramdom but i wanna express a story here about how i feel Felix'es pain... I run a campaing with some new players and one guy with his friend split from the party at the FIRST MOMENT WE PLAYED because he doenst wanna play the story i brewed and wanted to just make money and sell drugs... his friend just has no idea what to do and followed him ....... Am i a bad dm for wanting to force him in a fight with tiamat at level 2?

@@gioza6494 It doesn't always work but as a DM I have found success in giving the player something to love, if you know the player well enough then make a npc he will love having around, the kind that makes him wanna go see them again and again. then when he is close to them, tie them into the quest, put them in danger, make keeping that npc around reliant on him helping. this is a bit of my style of doing things as I like that method but it can work. Few things make a player more invested in the villain's downfall then when that villain takes something or someone the player loves away from them. It doesn't always work some players after all will just keep going murder hobo or the like, but this is just my feelings. Also you are not wrong to be frustrated with em :)

Ok. So. Theory here. Sneeze is something Sips accidentally created when a spell went Wild. When Sips 'died', because of some bond that exists because of this event, Sneeze died for as long as Sips was out.
If you mean he is something like the unseen servant spell I disagree because if that was so his body would have faded out of existence when sips died

Yeah, the whole waiting in a bar for weeks just waiting for a crystal to open a portal that might not even work due to is age alone and then trying to convince gothi to get it ALONE by saying in a very creepy tone that an entire empire of other foreclaimers could be waiting on the other side of the portal that leads to who knows where. Also, in a past video it says that the power crystals only extend forclaimer life by 700 years. They’ve been in there for over 2,000 years. There’s a pretty high chance there all dead of starvation or old age. He’s probably gonna side with xanu because xanus only way to the foreclaimers is through the portal. Their core goals line up, opening the portal.

@@clayxros576 gods can be easily corrupted if the beliefs of the more influential followers start taking root. The crusades were direct result of influential religious leaders pushing a religious idea, and so on and so forth. gods are just as much shaped by their believers as their believers are shaped by them. If an embodiment of order became corrupted, it would become a tyrant. It's the reason why SMT games (including Persona believe it or not) have "evil" characters that could be easily described as either lawful or chaotic to an extreme. Heck, the entire concept of the dragonlance campaign setting, may it rest in peace, is that all of the borderline on neutral gods became evil when the evil gods were wiped out and all the good gods became borderline on neutral, still edging towards evil. This was all a result of the worshipers of evil influencing how what God's remained were able to express themselves. Kind of like that.

The crusades are kind of a bad example of that since the god of the Bible isn't influenced in that way. The church just took the faith of Europe and twisted it while God facepalmed in heaven. In fiction on the other hand where the wellbeing of gods is tied to their worshippers, you are correct.
@@clayxros576 Dungeons and Dragons Rules, here. The only god who stays impartial, and by extension, never changes is Ao. The only reason he can stay impartial is almost no one knows he exists. Even then, the handful who do know of him are rendered incapable of using magic.
@My Brand The best Stories are based off of real world shenanigans. Base Game, our world (The Terrasphere) is off in a jetty of the Phlogiston, the magical flow that keeps the multiverse separated and keeps planeswalkers from falling into the blind eternities as frequntly. Therefore, a version of our world, complete with gods, is in the D&D multiverse.
