Now that is a definite badass one liner.
It works beautifully. After all the whole difference between the foreclaimers and everyone else, including Xanu and Gothi is empathy. The Foreclaimers either abandoned theirs or just never had it. If Xanu abandons his, he is no better than the ones who tormented him.

because thats not something he can DENY either- his actions so far aside could be just as easily motivated by personal spite/hatred as by Empathy- and massive alterations/modifications aside, from what we saw in the flashbacks,
i believe his original physical form was an extremely modified, artificially grown Foreclaimer body before the Sun's power was imbued/forced into it....

The writing is just SO GOOD, Vicky mentioning how much she hates the orcs and last episode ( I think) when Sips was talking about his curse Vicky went "Like a werewolf?" There's so many amazing hints to upcoming plot points its impressive from what used to be "Monke sang karaoke, everybody die, the end" Also another thing, The Racoon scene just *chef kiss* The line "It shouldn't have to die when its just following its instincts" makes a parallel to the foreclaimers, who have no empathy and just are following the most efficient way to do things. This show is a 11/10

I love how Xanu's not even a bad person. His intent was justified, he was punished for going too far, and he's now a shell of his former self. It's a fascinating reflection of Sips too.

I like how everyone in the mercury dragon went into parent mode and said, “LANGUAGE.” In unison.
Betting that stronger emotions and characteristics seam to bleed through the beast more often than the rest, so a parent seeing their kid about to pull that would have definitely gotten them all to go parent mode because it is that strong a characteristic.

I think the difficult part would be running all 3 things at once and jumping between them as he'd only have to handle 2 at once normally.

@@Phhase I mean gold dragons aren't made of real gold (if they where they could just kill their red rivals by just sitting on em), so I don't see why a more typical mercury dragon would be made of the literal metal when no other metallic dragon has that feature.

This keeps getting better and better, who ever created Vicky is a genius and what you had sipps explain to her is actually a good message to children and I love how she keeps popping up out of nowhere and how she remembers the rules and I love how she gave sipps a hug.
Putting Atlantian Twilight in the conversation between Sips and Vicky was a stroke of genius. The emotional payload of the song speaks of loss, but also of acceptance.
I enjoy the character progressions and how it feels unique to each hero, with its own mysteries, feelings, challenges :) Also the homebrewed monsters here were *lit* :>

The narrative of this episode is excellently constructed. It really shows off Dingo’s talent and progress as a storyteller.

this episode really seemed to have a theme of souls. Xanu teaching sips to use them, the mercury dragon, the moss wyvern dying how it does, ect.

It's amazing to see how both Dingo's and Felix's storytelling skills have advanced from episode 1. Which makes it all the more infuriating every single time we're left on a gosh dang cliffhanger!!!

I am still and always amazed how dingo doodles do all the voices of the characters in different tones and voices

No lie, that Soul Prowler/Mercury Dragon is a bringer of dread. It sounds like it absorbed a child's soul, they absorbed Erina's mom's soul, and the only thing predictable about it: they ALL want others to share their fate. The design and description of it is terrifying, but where its intentions lie is the true horror. Genius all around.

Feels kinda exploitable from a gameplay standpoint to me, because the first thing that I thought of is what if you wished for control. Like, control of the dragon, sure you get your soul absorbed but you basically just fucking become the dragon and get to do whatever you want with it. I fail to see how this could possibly go wrong.
@@genericlegoshiguy553 there would likely be a drawback. You have control but are constantly tormented by the other souls, the strain of having all that power in the hands of one weak soul severely damages you, straight up insanity, etc.
@@themustardman219 Counterpoint, just wish for it to release every other soul that is has. Then you're the only soul in there and there are no other souls to torment you. And to me given at how powerful a player can become at lvl 20, I'd say it's safe to assume that one soul could handle the power of a dragon pretty easily. Of course all of this is left up to the DM in the end of the things. I'm just saying these things because I like to break homebrew stuff in ways the DM probably never even thought about.

Imagine the dragon shifting form around like Belos from the owl house when he’s going ghost. Melting and molding it’s form and legs cracking as it slinks like a lovecraftian thing. Mercury’s highly toxic too. Could do a koh the face stealer too.

That Dragon has done a *great* job of "protecting Erina's life" so far. It's been chilling in the cave for who knows how many episodes.

I mean, it seems like a nice... bundle of crazy. Wouldn't sleep around it, but I bet it's a real hit at parties.
So Jack is either very committed to his act, or he's possessed by something and doesn't know it. Either way, trusting him is a really bad idea at this point.

Either way, he saved Gothi's life. he might be up to something, as the pedestals make that very clear, but trusting him right now might be Gothi's best chance at survival... Hmm... He knows so much about Gothi's people. So. Much. Is he one in disguise??? How powerful IS Jack? Hmm..... HMMMMM...

@@hexxidelux6224 I get where you're coming from, but we don't see any implants on Jack, and he wouldn't survive this long without them as a foreclaimer. Also, the way Jack described his feeling as "a burning need inside him" and Gothi warning him against burning up not to mention his newly-revealed soul ability, I just really feel like it's Xanu.
@@silverstar4505 as a GM who occasionally plays....TRUST Jack, the story is better then. Stick to your character quirks and traits but blind yourself to story tropes and "red flags" to then allow the more epic story and ofc grab whatever isnof use to you.

I really really like the soul prowler like imagine the comedy it could create, it could also be a good plot point, like the whole campaign is about freeing the souls in the soul prowler?
