Same here. Christ Jesus saved me from a Homosexual lifestyle that I was in for well over 25 year's of my life. I was 4 months away from marrying a man who I had been in a long term relationship with.... God's love saved me and I am now studying to become a Pastor. I pray many more from the LGBT community come to know the love of our Heavenly Father.

I had a mom telling me 'follow your heart' (mom's a church goer, all of her life, too!) as a teenager & that did NOT help me out, especially when I chose to date an atheist. I wish that I'd had a mom who learned her Bible & taught it to me & told me to RUN AWAY in the other direction from him & all the heartache he brought me. An acquaintance of mine from college ended up dating and marrying a Muslim and her pastor told her, "you can't help who you fall in love with ". I was not in her life when she started seeing this person. I hope I would have had the courage to tell her she shouldn't date a nonbeliever because you can "help who you choose to date". I'm pretty sure she had started spending time with her husband in order to minister to him, therefore "missionary dating". They ended up having children who I believe have all become Christians, and she is now married to someone else.

I knew she was getting wrapped up with a Muslim classmate, very fond of him, and couldn't tear herself away from him. I was so disappointed because she was, right before that, very pure & really devoted to the Word. I think she eventually ended it with him but I'm sure there was MUCH heartache. ugh I have no idea where she is today!
@@ybh8ful I reconnected with this young woman once social media became a thing several years after college. She was already married by then. She was always a very emotional driven person. I have not had a conversation with her since college, just a bit of interaction over social media. I do not know where she is spiritually and would be interested to know now she would characterize her original marriage decision. Obviously God's grace has blessed her with children who I pray remain faithful to the gospel. I do not know what their relationship is with their father. I believe he may be living overseas as I know at one point the entire family had moved to the middle east.
My friend went to a progressive church for 3 years. She mentioned that they do not use the word “God” or “Jesus” because it can be offensive to some. It was shocking to hear. They are trying to make LGBT the dominant culture, The LGBT movement will be like a nationality, a religion and a political identity. .Pride flag will replace the US flag, people will be asked to pledge allegiance to the movement. They will run candidates for political office. Democrats will be the LGBT party, the connection to unions and workers will end, and they will become the party of the LGBT movement.

I’m a born again Christian and I relate to you Becket Cook in a lot of ways. I love you and I love your show so much! I was raised catholic and was so terrified of the way that they taught about God , I also went to a Jesuit school and experienced a lot of abuse. I always loved God but as I grew up I sought God in all the wrong places. I bought into the new age teachings and Hollywood dreams etc (I’m a stylist) I have totally committed my life to God and Jesus Christ. I read the Bible everyday. I have completely changed my life. I have been celebate, stopped drinking, drugs etc for over a year and I don’t miss it at all. I am really struggling with quitting smoking, I started smoking after being raped and it became a security blanket for me. I desperately want and need to quit. I feel like it’s the last sin I need to conquer, will you please pray for me. It’s really bothering me and I don’t want to sin anymore. I feel like God has given me a second chance and I want to serve him properly and not sin against my body anymore. Please help me.

You can do it, just keep asking God to deliver you and don't quit believing and asking until He does, anything is possible with God Matthew 19:26. Trust God alone to do it for you. Don't try to do it yourself. Fast too, God uses fasts, they work well.

Oh Beckett! You are helping me so much in knowing how to talk with those who are caught up in any sinful behavior. Thank you for your faithfulness to the LORD and His Work.
What happened to me when I was saved was that I didn't want to do the sins that had me trapped before I was saved. I was transformed, and really did hate the things (sins) I once loved, and loved the things (things of God) I once hated. I am not saying I became perfect by a long shot, but I really became a new, and different person. The things I struggle with now are not the overt sins I used to love. What I struggle with now are much, much more sneaky (not loving and praying for my enemies, not being truthful at times, etc.).
I think too many of us in the church don't really believe in the power of God's grace to actually transform. That's why we don't know what to do with these issues in the church and end up compromising. The sin in my life is not as visible to the outside world as some sin and it becomes too easy to live the "good Christian life" without much power. A lot of us in the church are in that space I believe. In the last year as church from home has become more prevalent such complacency has increased because no longer is iron sharpening iron.
When Colton gets away from the Hollywood fame and attention it brings, I think he will keep thinking/working this out. Pray patiently, knowing the Lord is Sovereign and His timing is perfect.
This is the only channel I have commented on. I appreciate this content so much! It is so relevant in todays culture and I feel more confident and equipped to talk about the TRUTH.

I am just in awe with what you have been able to overcome. You speak truth. I watched the Colton Underwood Netflix series and it was so obvious how deceived so many of those people who were advising him were. Colton himself looked so confused and was not at all confidant in his choices. I hope he watches this episode and his heart is touched by truth.
Becket is so on point with the Word of God. Even when I was backsliden, I never doubted the Word of God and His authority. Sin is pleasurable for a season. Please Colton, do not lean on your own young understanding but be committed to hearing the Holy Spirit and seeking the Lord thru fasting and prayer. I just caught this episode and thank you Becket, for being bold in speaking truth. My daughter graduated with Colton in 2010 from Washington, Il high school where he excelled in football. I watched him play basketball as a junior high kid while my daughter was on the sidelines cheering on Central Junior High School. I have no doubt he is struggling with this. As I recall he also attended Young Life when my daughter attended. Please, please keep praying for Colton and his brother Connor (also mentioned in this episode). SO many from this high school have "come out" , including my other daughter, that one wonders what kind of evil lurks in the halls ..and classrooms...of Washington High School.

Thank you so much Beckett for speaking so honestly about this. Your testimony is a huge encouragement to people everywhere who want to follow Jesus and think they can’t for various reasons. So much fruit comes through this show. I can hear throughout Colton’s story an utter lack of relationship with God grounded in Christ. He speaks of his evangelical church as something he cares about, but not a relationship with God himself. That seems to be what’s missing. So he naturally seeks answers from people and not God.

Heterosexual men have to resist and restrain their sexual desires just like anyone else, if they want to be obedient to God.
What happened to me when I was saved was that I didn't want to do the sins that had me trapped before I was saved. I was transformed, and really did hate the things (sins) I once loved, and loved the things (things of God) I once hated. I am not saying I became perfect by a long shot, but I really became a new, and different person. The things I struggle with now are not the overt sins I used to love. What I struggle with now are much, much more sneaky (not loving and praying for my enemies, not being truthful at times, etc.).

I think too many of us in the church don't really believe in the power of God's grace to actually transform. That's why we don't know what to do with these issues in the church and end up compromising. The sin in my life is not as visible to the outside world as some sin and it becomes too easy to live the "good Christian life" without much power. A lot of us in the church are in that space I believe. In the last year as church from home has become more prevalent such complacency has increased because no longer is iron sharpening iron.

When Colton gets away from the Hollywood fame and attention it brings, I think he will keep thinking/working this out. Pray patiently, knowing the Lord is Sovereign and His timing is perfect.
I still have hope for him too. Let's all intercede for Colton. Now question is, if he come back to Christ fully, would Hollywood document that? 🤔

Beckett, I so thank God for you! My daughter has known the Lord and has somehow been convinced by a "friend" into believing she is gay. I am praying so much for her. You are such a blessing in a world that tries to tell me that I need to "support" my daughter's gay lifestyle. So wrong. I love my daughter, but I will not support this lifestyle. I am just in awe with what you have been able to overcome. You speak truth. I watched the Colton Underwood Netflix series and it was so obvious how deceived so many of those people who were advising him were. I just caught this episode and thank you Becket, for being bold in speaking truth. My daughter graduated with Colton in 2010 from Washington, Il high school where he excelled in football. I watched him play basketball as a junior high kid while my daughter was on the sidelines cheering on Central Junior High School. I have no doubt he is struggling with this. As I recall he also attended Young Life when my daughter attended. Please, please keep praying for Colton and his brother Connor (also mentioned in this episode). SO many from this high school have "come out" , including my other daughter, that one wonders what kind of evil lurks in the halls ..and classrooms...of Washington High School.

I pray Colton will come to true surrender and repentance to the Lord but also that all these lies and false worldviews will be smashed. He sounds very confused and walking based on his feelings. It's interesting how gay "churches" will even call it church. As I heard from a wise person that are emotions are not always true. Thank you so much Beckett for speaking so honestly about this. Your testimony is a huge encouragement to people everywhere who want to follow Jesus and think they can’t for various reasons. So much fruit comes through this show. I can hear throughout Colton’s story an utter lack of relationship with God grounded in Christ. He speaks of his evangelical church as something he cares about, but not a relationship with God himself. That seems to be what’s missing. So he naturally seeks answers from people and not God.
