This right here. This glorious moment is when Rocket’s character arc comes full circle. He's been running away from his past for too long. He's now ready to confront it. Even if it costs him his life. It's all for saving his family. I also love that Rocket is calling Star-Lord “Pete” instead of “Quill” because it gives me a feeling that at that point, Rocket trusts him enough that he is willing to die with him to save the galaxy. Because after all, the galaxy needs it's Guardians.

This is why James Gunn is the goat. He makes the trailer so emotional you could cry then balances it out with a bit of humor in the beginning and end to keep you smiling

When Gunn said this is the last time we spend with the Guardians, he REALLY meant it.
The Guardian movies have more heart and depth than anything else in the MCU.
The "We are Groot" sacrifice scene from the first movie will forever be one of my favorite scenes.
This one is going to cut deep into the feels.

I think Peter, gamora, and mantis are safe but rocket has said at least once that he doesn't have that long of a life span and given that we're getting a lot of his back story in this one and the dialog we've heard I think we're going to lose rocket and Dave said he isn't coming back as drax so I think we're losing him too which is sad but beautiful as he's going back to his family. I think Peter's crying is over rockets body and mantis's is over draxs. James said this will be the saddest mcu film so far, I'm really nervous and I'm bringing boxes on boxes of tissues with me

A day later though... I think it's Drax. Bullets tickled him in the holiday special, a brick caused an actual pain reaction, and then we see him being carried with a blast hole.

forgot to say in other reactors' vids, but we see mantis cry too. Wonder if peter could die... like a twist. or 2 guardians? He said this current team wont continue on, but like with the original avengers has changed into these separate teams, with newer characters, we could see this team continue, but split up. If rocket lives, he could save, or live with his girlfriend on the animal planet place we see, help them out - if peter and/or gamora lives, I could see him trying to settle down with her, or be besties in space again - if drax survives, I'd like to see him find someone, maybe return home, too - but more than likely go on a killing spree, as peter isnt there to stop him.
The ending of 2 of Rocket's reaction to Yondu's funeral and now this sets him up for dying. I'm not ready T_T
Greatest movie of all time. Saw it 3 times in theaters, and can't wait to see it even more when it's on streaming. If you haven't seen it in theaters, go before it's too late. It's THE cinematic experience of the year so far

Unlike the family of the Avengers who are the best of the best superheros, I think why people connect so much to the Guardian's family is because they're a group of misfits who happened to find each other and just wanna get by. It's a lot easier to relate to them (despite being aliens) than it is for most of the avengers, who are mostly human.

After seeing the trailer as well as the poster, Rocket is really playing the most vital role here. Also, I got shooked when they put him closest to the sun, not just the original 5 members standing alongside him.

I knew all about Marvel, well probably not all of them. But I didn't know Guardians of the Galaxy at the time. When did they announce the first movie, I know nothing about it! And so I went to do some research about, at that time in the same year or a year earlier. I think it was a year earlier, but anyway. There was a new Marvel comic series called; Guardians of the Galaxy. And that was the perfect opportunity to pick up that first issue. And then I picked up the next one. And so I added it on to my list. From the comics? Rocket was my favourite. When the movie finally came out, I get to see the characters what they are like. Groot became my favourite. And in the second movie, I was obsessed of baby Groot. 😍 I'm so glad they took a chance on it. And I hate to see it go now. 🥺 I want baby Groot back! All these rumours and speculation, I don't want my boy Rocket to die

THE OTTER LADY, FROM THE COMICS! Lyla, right? ROCKETS ORIGIN. This, for me, is the last MCU movie. Last one I'll see in theaters until some things start turning up. Even if it WASN'T, this is the one. XD (better IMAX), coke, and maybe even some dinner. I'm not cheaping on this. When this film makes 2 billion, understand 500$ worth of tickets were ***me.*** Can't wait. I'm so happy this is ending. I prefer a concise, powerful ending then life support.

I think now that the truth came out about the connection between Mantis and Quill, she will die in place of Peter because someone wants Celestial blood.
Now it seems that Rocket may die also. Quill would get upset at Rocket dying, but the amount of emotional freak out he displayed in that scene, I think it's Mantis, which falls in line with the trauma of MCU characters, like Thor, Bucky and Shuri...etc. Losing all their family in order to carry on with a new one.
That last action shot of Peter and Groot gun blazing together could be a clue. Those scenes were mostly Groot and Rocket, but Rocket is being replaced by Peter now. And Groot is packing multiple guns, so that has to be a climax showdown after both Rocket and Mantis' ending.
I think old timeline Gamora and Adam Warlock will replace them in the last line up.
Since this is the last Guardians movie, we may only see a few of them as cameos in other Marvel movies/shows.
They may even kill Drax, who we find out is practically indestructible because in the holiday special bullets bounced off of him like he's got Hulk skin, and how easily he crashed through those trees in the 2nd movie when they crashed landed on that planet.
Batista already said 3 was his final time as Drax because he was done with it.
I think we're going to need tissues.

I'm not so sure it's Mantis, to be honest. The lighting in the Quill scene seemed to be nearly identical a little later in the trailer where Mantis is seriously upset and crying too. I'm not certain who it will be (although, even though I won't bet money on it, my guess is it'll be Drax, especially after that blast wound to the chest you see), but if that's anything to go off of, I'm not sure it's Mantis dying there. Regardless of who it is, though, this movie looks like it'll be an emotional wrecking ball.
@@DMKelly20 True. It seems ever since Endgame the focus seems to be on the mental welfare of these survivors (heroes) and recognizing their traumas.
...As if they're all slowing down to really access the impact that whole Infinity Saga had on them.
It makes them very much relatable and not just some one dimensional comic book characters ripped from the pages of make believe.
I do remember the criticism from DC fans saying that Marvel doesn't know how to do dark, only action and comedy with no real consequences.
I personally think they are balancing it all rather well...minus the Looney Tunes rail that was jumped to bring us Thor: Love and Thunder.
I mean, it seems like it's their down time, where the remaining first generation gets to make plans for their predecessors/ wards/ younger generation. And maybe plant some roots so they can find some stability before things get crazy again in phase 5.
I don't know if I'm ready for more final deaths because phase 4 and the back end of phase 3 slammed us with a lot of grief.
It looks like Starlord isn't done being devastated though.
@@blackkatt777 That was an impression I got strongly from Rocket this time. Not only the fact that he's dealing with the traumatic memories of his origins, but given that he was, along with Nebula, the only survivor from the Guardians of the Blip, I feel like it must've really affected him. He lost the stability of having a group of individuals who cared about him, and finally being reunited with Lylla Otter in this trailer means that I'm sure she was some sort of stability for him earlier too. In fact, Lylla's appearance in this makes me think Rocket may not be about to die, but that he may end up giving up his life of violence and choose to live out the rest of his life in peace with her.
