Man I loved this game. It really had me sitting in max's shoes. The whole time I felt like me and him were asking the same question. "What the fuck am I doing?"
@@moister3727 He saved a woman, and gave her the chance to have her baby and live a good life In a way, he let go his past. Stopped blaming himself for his kid and wife dying by saving them, giving himself closure. If you listen to the lyrics of this song, it resembles his dead wife saying "let us go" give our souls away, basically commicating that he needs to move on He managed to change something for once in his life, it wasn't just a bunch of dead bodies this time He had achieved something And then he became free
I didn't like there weren't any subtitles for the Portuguese dialogue and then I realised it was intentional to make us feel like Max, not knowing what was going on around him and failing to protect the girl
Yeah, this is what is great about the character, the way he just can't walk away. He had to save those girls, he had to defeat the corruption that he found in Brazil He's a hero alright
By the way, Rockstar really kicked ass with this game. The best game I've ever played, a true mature game with really characters and a work of art in everything, from the voice acting, soundtrack to the very challenging gameplay, that'll left me frustrated several times, but you know, it is worth it and a lot. Rockstar transcended from the nerdy, constant suspension of disbelief and bullshit world, that kind of work is what really can elevate games. The Last of Us also showing games are maturing
I love Max, he's me. Self destructive and depressed, but brought to life by anger and longing. I wish most books and movies would create characters as good as Max, he's so deep and beautiful.
That movie was so awful. That was the first movie I ever walked out on after five minutes. They didn't even show the part where Max's family was killed.
The movement and fluidity of a third person shooter with the accuracy of a first person shooter.... rockstar didn't have to go this hard man. What blows my mind is no one has yet to replicate or heck even get inspired by them like how are there no other games with this feel.
This song made the mission awesome. It blew my socks off when it started playing and developed throughout the airport mission. Just awesome. Best game I've played in the last few years.
This game means so much to me, I’ve re played the story at least 30 times by now and i first played it in early April this year, I can’t wait for the remakes of the first two games, they’re gonna be like prequels for me since I’ve never played them.
Damn dude, I got it from gamestop right after Grand Theft Auto 5 came out I play it like 1 or 2 times a year and speed ball it in a day. I haven't the balls to play old school yet but hard-core with free aim broke me and rebirth occured, now I play games like as cinematically and as stylish as possible online and off. And that made me better👌. And I became cultured around the time I began appreciating the story. Cultured swine👌
MP3 is like a fine vine. It gets better and better with time. With each replay i appreciate the story and character development. And TEARS is the best credits song for this game.
There's another "Tears" Max Payne 3 video on youtube, but I would just like to say yours is MUCH MUCH Better, you actually know what you're doing with the edits, the other one was just so random. Nice work. Kudos.
Every time a shootout starts at the airport, I imagine it is Max's wife and daughter singing in his mind. Memory and love for a lost family is the strength that makes Max unstoppable. Never mind that he is tired, drunk, with a bullet in his head and half the New York mafia on his back. It won't stop until it reaches its target.
I think that too, I especially like how the song starts playing and it’s in a lower pitch. The song is basically Michelle talking to Max, telling him to let go.
Awesome video dude! This has become one of my all time favorite games and songs. Since I'm stuck at home with all the snow hitting AL, I'm gonna try to beat the game on the hardest difficulty.
I just got the old 360 hooked into my 4k TV. I think it might be time to pay max a long over due visit. Edit: it still holds up incredibly well for the most part. It's by no means perfect but it has a considerable amount of AAA polish.
Me too. Dying in this game is just part of it. Also, the game ended in the same bad ass fashion, with Tears in the final cutscene. Just amazing. Love Rockstar!
I kind of wanted a callback to the original games, kind of like what led him here. To me, the beauty of the third game is how completely devoid Max is from the world around him, everything is so foreign to him. And how he uses alcohol to escape the pain and trauma of his past, all while it disorients him from his present.
I havent in a while,I beat it on all difficulties and I started playing New York Minute mode but then I just stopped playing. Ill probably start playing it again soon. Hell,I even go back to play the original Max Payne games,I played the first one yesterday again, its such a classic game. I loved how created the max payne atmosphere and put it into a whole new location with new characters. Its more sinister, darker and action packed than ever, its such an amazing game.
Its a sad reality for the max payne fans, personally I recomended this game to all my freinds, except those who are just trolls and want a game just to get trophies, but anyways, its a great and amazing game from a fantastic and amazing series. I bet if diablo 3 didnt release around the same time,it could have garnered more sales, but oh well. It still doesnt matter,to me its all about the quality of the game and Max Payne 3,is one terrificly,amazing,awe-inspiring,superbly, mesmerzingly made game :)
Same for me, such an awesome moment :) The game overall had a great soundtrack, such eerie tunes and heart pumping tunes that make the pacing of the game so great, but this song in particular playing right in the airport terminal was just perfect. I tried so hard to not die the first time I played through it, even though I ended up dying a lot :P
Thank you. It's nice to know there are some people out there who use this site other than trolling. Thank you for standing up for me and I hope you enjoyed the video.
This is definitely a good video, it makes me think of the official trailer for the game but extended with a lot more and better scenes. I love this song and it's awesome every time I hear it. I actually really liked that you added a few scenes from the older games, even though they look so out of date side by side with how amazing MP3 looks. But hey, this game wouldn't exist without those great games. Anyway, good work and keep it up.
you know, max has reached a phase in wich he makes me feel sorry for him but also respect him, i mean, he lost everything but that only makes him stronger and stronger, to the point he only sees the worst out of everyone and hates almost everything about life but he does not surrender to death, he may not be a hero but he is a survivor
Brilliant work, I feel you should have a lot more views since I've gotten more than double and I didn't put even a tenth of the effort into my "Tears" video just pure gameplay.
Great analysis! It was amazing how in the second game, he experienced survivor's guilt, feeling guilty like he should have been the one to die instead of his family, until he finds out Mona was alive, and it all washed away on him to protect her and try to find answers from her,no matter how loyal to the otherside she was. Thats how I see him in this game,he thinks he has hope in trying to find Fabiana before she dies too,and then refuses to die to get the answers he seeks, even after she dies.
I hope they make a 4th installment. I’m currently playing it right now on my PS3. I also hope they remaster the whole trilogy someday! Amazing video btw!
Dont know why. Max always inspired me as a person. Most action characters semm to not have any doubt about their ability to control the situation. But Max have to always push through doubt and insecurities like most of people in similar situations, But he is still trying to do right thing and move forward.(especially in this game. where he is almost always out of control and dont understand what going on)
