HEALTH really done a great job with the ost of max payne 3. They put work into creating their songs that captures the setting, tone, atmosphere, set pieces, cutscenes, story, gameplay, and Max's character development in the game.

@@cheseg-remastered Actually that was a Colombian paramilitary group, Almas Unidas del Pueblo (United Souls of the People), but what I love about that chapter is that it's like a crazy dream: you start fighting those guys who showed up after something you don't know what it is while your friends left you don't know how and to do you don't know what... and then you're left with even more questions when the chapter ends lol

Holy shit a whole video/comment thread about how great the Max Payne 3 soundtrack is. It honestly helped me get through my episodes of depression, it’s so atmospheric and moody and at times relaxing. One of the best scores for a video game I’ve heard. Needs more appreciation.
I keep being reminded about my love for this soundtrack every goddamn few months. There are very few game soundtrack that are this well mixed and composed inside the game. The lone fact that I prefer this over Mick Gordon's DOOM works, Splinter Cell franchise tracks, Silent Hill 2, (many others that I consider masterpieces in music) etc. should speak volumes. I wish HEALTH or Rockstar could officially release some of the unofficial unreleased tracks already, at least for James McCaffrey.

Max Payne 3 still has one of the best video game soundtrack list of all time, it's criminally underrated and underappreciated, same goes for the game itself as well. A true masterpiece that was way ahead of it's time. It's so good that it still holds up even till this day.

Sometimes i would come back from work, in the spring and summer, drink bottle of vodka while playing max payne or something else and fall asleep with my head on the table, sometimes music playing at full volume but it doesnt wake me up, id sleep 2-3 hours then randomly wake up like robot, exactly on time to finish whats left of the drink, listen to the football stadium theme/panama/pills and go to work drunk. Happnd lot of times
It's so sad how they built these gorgeous environments and amazing shooting mechanics and you can't walk more than 2 feet without triggering a 5 minute cutscene.

I'm now a bit weary of the remake's soundtrack, and gameplay. Remedy is in the Rockstar's shadow, the only company that mastered Euphoria, which made out of MP3 the best action game to date.
If EVERYONE would support the new rdr 1 port that recently came to ps4/5 then we may potentially see this come as well as gta4. The problem is everybody's mad and upset thats "iTs JuSt A pOrT" meanwhile who cares???? It still gives us the ability to ply the game on current gen and also to achieve the trophies again. Everybody getting refunds on their money becuase the graphics are not incredible not relizing that if they would just support rockstar then we will benefit from it in the future. Instead, everyone wants to be spiteful and think they're teaching rockstar lesson by doing the opposite but sadly that is wrong. So everyone please support rockstar however, you can regardless so that maybe in the future we will see maxpayn3 come to current gen🙏
