Great video guys, I've started doing more rinseless washes on our cars lately and it saves me tons of time. I will do a pre spray on the entire vehicle including the wheels snd tires, then once im done with the wash I'll use the remaining wash liquid and use a dedicated microfiber on the wheels and tires, once they aren't that dirty I don't need to scrub the tires. I'll then use a drying aid during the drying process and the cars come out really clean and glossy. Thanks for all the great tutorials.
Yet another great video, guys! I’ve been doing about 80% rinseless washes on my personal vehicles lately, using pretty much this same process (except I use the IK 12 for the rinseless pre-spray and the IK pump foamer for the wheels) and I’m still a huge Ceramic Gloss acolyte as my drying aid. Sometimes if the wheels are a bit more dirty, I’ll use some Extra Tough Wheel and Tire Cleaner since it’s rinseless as well.

Funny you ask in the video, I'm actually trying to find a way to perfectly clean my wheels in rinse less conditions and I think I've found a system based on a multitude of videos. I can't stand half cleaned wheels and undressed tires so it's why I go to this length. Essentially it's basically a traditional wash for the wheels, except my wheel bucket has a rinse less mix with my cleaning tools and I have a 2 gallon pump sprayer filled with water which acts as my hose. I pair that with some wheel/tire cleaner (currently use brake buster for example) and clean them as normal really. After rinsed of, I proceed with the rinse less wash of the car. Also I like to mention since I mostly do these in winter here in Quebec, it gets dirty ha, I like to go to a coin wash in the first place to rinse most things off.

As I am almost out of my gallon of ONR, will Opti Clean work nice with DIY Rinseless or best not to comingle the two different brands?

Love the idea of doing a one step decontamination with the clay towel and iron remover as a lubricant, with the rinseless wash. Does your iron remover have more lubricants than a standard iron remover? Just wondering if there is anything that sets it apart from your competitors?
Just a follow up question….as a newbie to proper decontaminate the exterior do you spray iron remover directly on the paint with rinse less wash still on the panel or spray on a clean panel then use rinse less wash on top as more lubricant. Also how do you incorporate water spot remover?
Cleaned up a steering wheel on my 2004 Jeep with the rinse less and microfiber method. Is there anything you can recommend putting on it as a conditioning treatment so it stays healthy?

When are you guys going to use that ik keg sprayer for rinseless? I have a keg sprayer, and it definitely helps speed up the process of rinseless even more compared to my ik multi pro 12.
Should we always use a drying towel after the rinseless wash, or can we use an air blower instead, and then do I final buff off with a detailer ?😊 thanks
Hi Yvan. When using your Rinseless during a WCC outdoors in the sun, if I were to spray the whole car and not do one panel at a time, how long would it take more or less for the water to dry on the paint, thus leaving me in a dangerous situation? I understand by the way that it depends on various factors but I just want to get an idea please. Also, if it were to dry on the paint after an hour or two, what should I do at that point?
I am always pleasantly surprised by turning the use of your products around...I thought a lot more water was needed to activate quick beads. I see that the humidity of the rinseless is enough?
I am still a bit confused between ceramic gloss vs quick beads. For a non-ceramic coated car (I use Gyeon Cancoat) which is waterless wash once every 2 weeks and if I can only choose one product, should it be ceramic gloss or quick beads? When to choose one over another? If there is a video on this already, appreciate your help to share the link
Both are amazing forms of protection, it really comes down to what you want. Some guys love the spray on, rinse off protection....paint gets a bit slicker than ceramic gloss so drying is a breeze. But others like the traditional drying method of using Ceramic Gloss as a drying aid and adding protection at the same time. I guess that's all to say...use both, see what you like!
Thanks for the input! Between the 2 of them, which protection is “stronger” or last longer or are they the same? Assume both are exposed to the same environment.
@DIY Detail Am i able to apply a full ceramic coating after doing a rinseless wash and clay decon like in this video? I am a little confused on the prep needed for a ceramic coating, but also don’t want to spend $1200 for one done professionally near me 😓😓
Hi Spenser, I totally get how this can be overwhelming. Yvan and I put together a 4 part series on washing, prepping your ride... and applying a ceramic coating. I highly suggest you watch it, it should answer your questions!! ruclips.net/p/PLD8gYJ2cLWeNJwVAqkPn5ZwrT7nGLQn1s
How would you recommend going about a strip wash on a new customer (assuming car is not already ceramic coated)? Would I just need to hit it with a solvent panel prep after washing with rinseless before applying any top coating since the rinseless isn't designed as a "reset" type solution? Hopefully this makes sense, thanks.
I would us DIY Detail Iron Remover with the clay towel, rinse then, apply DIY Detail Quick Beads. The DIY Detail Rinseless Wash cleans well, and doesn’t leave anything behind.
that red and balack sponge can also be used with( regular foam soap ) or its only designed for Rinseless and not effective or does no good on any other wash method ?
Hey Yvan, in one of your Detailers Academy videos, you mentioned a service like you and Nick did right here was one of your most profitable packages. If a brand new customer came in with a never before detailed car, along with Rinseless, Clay Towel, and Quick Beads, would you also include Iron Remover in that package or would that be an extra add on?
With rinseless I pray the wheel. Get a wet microfiber I will throw out wet with the left over rinseless from washing the car. Clean all the faces, the use the other side to clean my mudflaps, and use what is left for the tires. Don’t care much for the tires. You could maybe use two towels if you cared more about the tires. Should have started doing it before the tires got brown if not I’ve needed something heavier to get it off.
Good evening Yvan and Nick could you please give me the info of the get together w Chicago auto pro event that's going to happen next month to see if I can make it there thanks William from extreme optimum auto detailing pr be safe God bless
Hey William! I don't know all the details, maybe head over to Car Supplies Warehouse website/Facebook page/send them an email? We will be there for the whole event, but they will likely have more details for your now. I haven't booked my plane ticket yet lol. -Nick
Tried the rinseless today after lots of pollen and residue from trees were on my truck. Rinsed with water, pretreated with sprayer, then used sponge. Still had dirt spots, pollen spots, and built up residue. Sometimes you just have to use soap and water.
It has also happened to me with my vehicle when it is dirtier than expected to use the rinseless method and what I do is pass the sponge over the same area that I just cleaned with the other side of the sponge and that is enough so that no residue remains on the surface.
Hi Ivan and NIck, can this process also be used for similar products like using ONR to wash and claying (mothers speed clay) with a spray sealant? as I am from the UK and can't purchase DIY products.
I know that you both are professionals but redunking your sponge into the same bucket aren't you spreading dirt each time it hits the car? That bucket of rinseless water looks pretty dirty!
It may look dirty but it’s completely safe. When you pull the sponge from the bucket there’s no dirt on the sponge it stays in the bucket. Buy some DIY Rinseless, McKees 37 rinseless or optimum no rinse you ain’t scratching anything trust 😭
Hey Ivan, continuously asserting your superior wisdom at NIck's expense with little corrections and call-outs is a bad look. The "…a little too much product" barb at 9:00 has no instructional value to the viewer. At 11:41, you point out that Nick said he was using Ceramic Gloss when he was actually using Quick Beads. Pointing out your co-host's verbal mistakes comes off as pompous, and the fact that you're mistaken-he never said he was using Ceramic Gloss-further emphases the impression.
Nick here….yep, I’m me and Yvan is Yvan, we both have our tendencies. I like to use a lot of product and have fun (sometimes I’m sloppy with my technique) Yvan is very passionate about doing things a certain way with an emphasis on Efficiency. Save money and time and get great results (by doing it a certain way). I kind of like to freestyle and Yvan believes deeply in a standard operating procedure. The push and pull makes for dynamic content, and we actually do have fun even if it can sometimes seem like there is some tension. If it’s easier to understand it this way…Yvan takes process, the doing of detailing and of running a business, incredibly seriously. It’s how he’s been so successful for so many years. But I hear you, thank you for caring so much about this that you would take time to share your thoughts publicly!
@@diydetailofficial Beautiful reply, Nick, and your quick, gracious, and thoughtful response is impressive! I've watched both yours and Ivan's content for years. You with Hawk Pro, and Ivan with Detailers Business Academy, Optimum, and many guest appearances on other channels. Both of you bring years of experience and an obvious love of detailing. And yes, you're a little bit on opposite ends of the style spectrum. I'm excited to try DIY products-they all look interesting and well formulated. I sincerely wish you both tremendous success! I mentioned the above only because I was distracted by it and noticed a similar pattern in other DIY videos. It's clear you like and respect Ivan. If he's comfortable demonstrating the same in return, it would erase any weirdness and help to reconcile your somewhat contrary approaches to detailing. Forgive me for straying so far from the subject matter of your videos. I speak from many years working in and studying the broadcast and entertainment industries. I firmly believe, it's the little things.
you are completely wrong. Proper lube and there is no marring on the paint after. I did it on my Camaro when I brought it home did it again on my Buddies brand new highlander 2weeks ago and there was ZERO marring or scratches added to the paint from using the clay towel on it and used proper lube.

@@arturia5976 Great question!
Both are relatively equal in durability.
@@diydetailofficial thank you!!
How long does Quick Beads protect for?
3 months or more
How would you recommend going about a strip wash on a new customer (assuming car is not already ceramic coated)? Would I just need to hit it with a solvent panel prep after washing with rinseless before applying any top coating since the rinseless isn't designed as a "reset" type solution? Hopefully this makes sense, thanks.
Also - does the panel need to be rinsed off after claying with iron decon before quick beads is used as a rinse aid?
I would us DIY Detail Iron Remover with the clay towel, rinse then, apply DIY Detail Quick Beads. The DIY Detail Rinseless Wash cleans well, and doesn’t leave anything behind.
that red and balack sponge can also be used with( regular foam soap ) or its only designed for Rinseless and not effective or does no good on any other wash method ?
In a previous video, Yvan said while the sponge is the most popular with rinseless, it works good with the traditional soap too.
It's designed for both. I prefer using it for Rinseless Washing but it can absolutely be used with Incredible Suds as well!
Iron remover would be an additional fee.
Definitely an add on.
Is All Clean at 15:1 safe on gloss black wheels?
Yes.
Is there a specific dilution to use rinseless as a Clay lube?
256:1, 128:1 works well too
When do you expect the clay towel to be back in stock?
Hopefully no longer than a week
what Is the process when car is not ceramic coated?
The same, a ceramic coating just makes it easier.
Thank you.
-Nick
“Sufficient is better than your normal excessive” lol
So true
Tried the rinseless today after lots of pollen and residue from trees were on my truck. Rinsed with water, pretreated with sprayer, then used sponge. Still had dirt spots, pollen spots, and built up residue. Sometimes you just have to use soap and water.
It has also happened to me with my vehicle when it is dirtier than expected to use the rinseless method and what I do is pass the sponge over the same area that I just cleaned with the other side of the sponge and that is enough so that no residue remains on the surface.
How did you dry it? I’ve never met a car that I couldn’t clean with DIY Detail Rinseless Wash.
@@diydetailofficial With your towels. Some spots I did not dry because I would be rubbing the spots back into the paint.
Is it safe to clay your way without a ceramic coated car
It is!
Yes!
Hi Ivan and NIck, can this process also be used for similar products like using ONR to wash and claying (mothers speed clay) with a spray sealant? as I am from the UK and can't purchase DIY products.
You would need to test, but yes it should. Our products should be there soon.
I got the whole line....now I just need to gets me some red sneaks
Sounds like a plan lol, Yvan rocks the Pumas Nick is a Vans man
Where the Detail Keg ?
We like to feature all sorts of options.
The cap is only 1/4 ounce.
looks like you're saving product then:) one capful per gallon works great for Rinseless Wash dilution
I know that you both are professionals but redunking your sponge into the same bucket aren't you spreading dirt each time it hits the car? That bucket of rinseless water looks pretty dirty!
The rinseless wash pulls the dirt to the bottom.
It may look dirty but it’s completely safe. When you pull the sponge from the bucket there’s no dirt on the sponge it stays in the bucket. Buy some DIY Rinseless, McKees 37 rinseless or optimum no rinse you ain’t scratching anything trust 😭
Rich, the DIY Detail Rinseless Wash Solution leaves your sponge perfectly clean when it leaves the bucket.
No matter how careful you are using that clay towel, it’s going to marr the paint every time. Would skip that unless polishing.
I’ve been using a clay towel on some parts of my ceramic coated car and haven’t noticed any scratching 🤷♂️
Have you tried our fine grade clay towel
I respectfully disagree, I use rinseless and either quick beads or ceramic gloss and I've had no marring. No pressure and ample lubrication is the way
you are completely wrong. Proper lube and there is no marring on the paint after. I did it on my Camaro when I brought it home did it again on my Buddies brand new highlander 2weeks ago and there was ZERO marring or scratches added to the paint from using the clay towel on it and used proper lube.
