Karl is actually right about Everest growing. The geological phenomena that created the Himalayas hasn't stopped, and the Indian tectonic plate is still pushing into/under the Eurasian plate, making much of the Himalayas continue to grow, whilst India actually loses roughly 2cm of landmass a year.
I haven't heard about the poop problem on Mt Everest, but I wouldn't doubt it. But it has become a bit of a tourist trap with a nice heated base camp at the bottom. It's all regulated by the Nepali govt now. So similarly, I've read that you have to pay a pretty hefty deposit at the base camp before you can even climb the mountain. And apparently, at one point, the trash on the mountain (water bottles, food wrappers, etc) got so bad that they'd give climbers trash bags before they went up. And if they came back down with their bags full, they'd get part of that deposit back. So I wouldn't be surprised if human poop has become a problem as well.

Plants are dead interesting in the way they work together and help defend eachother and stuff. I can’t remember what documentary I watched but there’s a really good documentary on Netflix somewhere about it
9:35 good point, but I doubt Karl was thinking about it that philosophically... Right, on the organ donation bit I get that Karl already thinks that he's explained and Steve's just not getting that, but if you carry down that line of logic it doesn't matter if they take your eyes, you're already a ghost and you had eyes when you died. Either, as Karl says about headless ghosts, ghost bodies are as they were when you died and nothing matters (so you could have eyes removed) or the body needs certain things to stay in to work as a ghost (eg eyes to see, brain to give instructions). Can't work both ways.

You liked the voice of the narrator in the intro of An Idiot Abroad. That's guy's voice is okay, too. But this show's opening narrator's voice is really cool. Like a Morgan Freeman effect. In the videos where you played this one's voice, I imagined myself saying the intro with him while trying to sound like him. My voice is baritone, so I can get away with doing that. 😂My maternal grandfather's voice was base, so I get my baritone from him. The fact that you talked abour at 28:00 is a karl thought. On the radio show segment called educating ricky, karl talks about Brian Blessed shitting himself on top of Everest. And ricky was annoyed about how that was not educational.

well if are a gosht how will you bump into stuff?
🤣🤣🤣
I think Ricky and Steven use Karl as a symbol for the gullibility of the masses. Though exaggerated, his arguments are no sillier than many I hear people speak with conviction.
The big unanswered question... was the flower put in the witness protection program!?!
🤣🤣🤣
Buzzy noises? How about fiddle spiders little legs tapping on the floor?😂
I have no idea what those are (thank goodness)
@@MandyCaneLane Argentinian Brown recluse spider a-k.a fiddle spideys or reapers?
Plants are dead interesting in the way they work together and help defend eachother and stuff. I can’t remember what documentary I watched but there’s a really good documentary on Netflix somewhere about it
On Netflix somewhere 🤭
that wasn’t a particularly useful bit of info was it? 🤣
I love how you now understand Karl logic. I only know a few people who do.😂
The best people.. LOL
Karl predicting germs killing people in 2020 is a Nostradamus moment 31:13
Germs have always killed people though 😅🤣
Nice one mandy the plant one is a bit true because of the roots 😮
9:35 good point, but I doubt Karl was thinking about it that philosophically...
Right, on the organ donation bit I get that Karl already thinks that he's explained and Steve's just not getting that, but if you carry down that line of logic it doesn't matter if they take your eyes, you're already a ghost and you had eyes when you died. Either, as Karl says about headless ghosts, ghost bodies are as they were when you died and nothing matters (so you could have eyes removed) or the body needs certain things to stay in to work as a ghost (eg eyes to see, brain to give instructions). Can't work both ways.
Touché good sir!
Tipping is illegal here. Well the dumping of things. The other tipping happens but not often. I've never tipped a takeaway delivery person, it's just not done here :)
No problem with that.. every country has there customs. 🤷🏻♀️🌻
Very few living things think. You need a large amount of brain power to think and a worm just doesn't have it.
My childhood fantasty of Everest shall forever be sullied. 😥
LOL 'sullied' 🤣
I'm with Steve that didn't explain anything... they don't remove your eyes for donation when your still alive they do it after you've already died...
Hahaha, touché! 🤪
Thank you for the Mt Everest story. As someone who hates physical activity I now have a reason to feel superior to those silly moutain climbers wading through human droppings. Excellent 😆
Hahahhaa, don't forget the corspes! LOL
@@MandyCaneLane true 😂
You liked the voice of the narrator in the intro of An Idiot Abroad. That's guy's voice is okay, too. But this show's opening narrator's voice is really cool. Like a Morgan Freeman effect. In the videos where you played this one's voice, I imagined myself saying the intro with him while trying to sound like him. My voice is baritone, so I can get away with doing that. 😂My maternal grandfather's voice was base, so I get my baritone from him. I once noticed, in church, that while singing along with a congregational hymn, his high note was my low note.
23:43 The fact they still had Karl naked on that part. 😂It's not even the shower anymore. :D
Lmao, the animation guys add so much to the comedy!! And so cool you noticed that about the notes!!
Bless you Mandy, you are beginning to sound like Karl.
Lol, not sure if that is necessarily a bad thing 😅🤣
@@MandyCaneLane The only thing that can possibly be more entertaining than 1 Karl Pilkington, is having 2 Karl Pilkingtons
Base camp, maybe - you have to step over dead bodies to get to the top
This is a good watch because Karl is hilarious and you're other level gorgeous.
mr K Dilkington yassssssssssss
5:34 same studio that did the Flintstones and this show also did scooby doo, although i think it's all Warner Bros. anyways.
The fact that you talked abour at 28:00 is a karl thought. On the radio show segment called educating ricky, karl talks about Brian Blessed shitting himself on top of Everest. And ricky was annoyed about how that was not educational.
Lmao, I disagree, that is very educational 😅
tipping is illegally dumping large amounts of mostly bulky waste in secluded areas instead of paying to have it removed.😬
Ahhhh, ok. Thank you Clarky 🤗
Not always secluded areas - many people dump stuff in the open on the street in residential areas.
The cartoonist has never seen a European robin 😳
Worms do surface to avoid drowning when it rains. Karl has come out with several facts that have subsequently been proven correct. Like Ricky says tho he hears something and then embellishes it and believes his own imaginings 🤣
I must have listened to the podcasts 10 times since lockdown to get to sleep. I can see why you like these but they do cut a lot out which spoils them a bit. You miss a lot of context.
Yeah, but you have to agree, the animations add so much!! 🙌🏻
Yeah I was going to say I think Hanna-Barbera animation does the animation for the Ricky Gervais Show
23:10 I agree, you don't go out in your inside footwear, defeats the purpose of having it.
🙌🏻
Talking about the poop on mt everest...its the same thing with people who die on it, cant retrieve them, they stay there too...
😅😅😵
@@MandyCaneLane Yes, climbers sometimes find them.
There isa lot of shit up there but it doesn't particularly stink, if shit is warm enough to smell it's warm enough to biodegrade. If it's frozen solid it wouldn't have a smell
“Tipping” or “Fly Tipping” is just dumping say an old sofa on the street rather than taking it to the “tip” which is where you’re supposed to dispose of large items of waste. It’s against the law n a kinda pikey ish thing to do
It's 3 series of 13 episodes so 39 in total.
Cool, thank you!
"They don't understand ghosts." *sigh*
🤣🤣🤣
A Karl-fest this week! 👌
🤗🤗🤗
Loving it but having in India and Nepal for quite a while mountaineers are there briefly and a bit loose on the toilet front 😊
7:00 Mandy gives spoilers for The Happening.
Oops 🤣🤣
I appreciate your Mt. Everest story, i'll pass that onto my girlfriend😂
Let me know if she appreciates it too 😅
Mildly grossed out😂
@@jonbolton3376 As she should be 😌
You saying “plants scream” is very Karlesque
I know 😅🤣
Well, those were the words used when this phenomenon was being discussed by most articles.
@@krissuyx Lol, thank you for backing me up 😅🤪
If you don't need the rest of your physical organs to function as a ghost, why would you need your physical eyes to see as a ghost? Steve's right.
I have heard other arguments that were better, like they remove your eyes after death.. Lol! 🤣🤪
My favourite moments are when Stephen and Ricky just can't understand Karl's reasoning. And babies do laugh. 😂
🤣🤣🤣
The artist drawing Brian Blessed as a man with a moustache still makes me angry! 25:45
Hahaha, I have no idea who that is 😅😅
@@MandyCaneLane super famous in the UK. Considered one of the legit "national treasures". Hes an actor with a BIG booming voice and BIG bushy beard. Has an achievement list a mile long of all the things hes done
