I noticed the Olds mouthpiece shank is slightly smaller also with my Olds Studio. The original Olds #3 fits in like it should, but Bach mouthpieces stick out too far. My NY Bach 7 does fit a little better but not as well as the Olds #3.
Hey, I need to upgrade my trombone before high school and I have a few trombones that I have in mind. Which of these would you recommend Bach 42, Shires Q Series , Getzen or maybe also Yamaha Xeno.
I loved my olds trombone for jazz and funk music. Sounded beautiful
The conn horn with the massive bell reminds me of the Olds A20 .510-.525 bore 8.5 inch bell and I love mine.
The Olds is a wall hanger.
The olds might make a decent jazz horn …small bell likely small bore…. Probably fun to play.
yes, it's .485/.500. I can't imagine it working with other modern horns though!
@@AidanRitchie not in section work but as a soloist ( small group) it could work.

Ever heard of the MAAASS tenors? There’s a f attachment with screw bell on eBay for 700. Is it worth it for fun tho
Yeah they are a Chinese horn... Never been able to play one, I've seen similar horns for cheap.
I’d def be interested in that Conn 76h for $350 if you wanna sell it

You can't just say perchance.
I do it honestly!
