Congratulations brother! I had a similar experience starting out on my M&W. Was the first time I felt like I was immediately better because the horn was making things so much easier. Reminded me of getting an equipment upgrade in a video game. “This horn comes with +5 sound, +10 evenness, +10 color, +10 response!”
Interesting video! Matthew is a magician. All the M&Ws I’ve tried, both custom and Bach remakes have been amazing horns. Congrats on a great bell section!
wonderful horn!! sounds awesome! and from your commentary, it plays just as awesomely as it sounds!! would you consider doing a similar treatment to your 42 r bell?
Sounds really good. I'd love to hear that sound coming from my left. From here it sounds focused with the right amount of core and wideness to the sound. Sounds easy and predictable which at this point to me are very important in a horn.Congrats! How is distance on the valve throw?
For what it's worth, from an old "has been," I think your best sounds have been on the B&S MS27 and the Yamaha YBL 630G. This Bach seems to be "thin" and shallow in its sound. It may physically feel good to you, but it is not the best sound you've ever had.

And those stat bumps worked- you got a job!!!

Oh definitely not, I don't have that kind of money haha! I will probably be mounting the R bell to my Artisan setups at some point.
I must have missed this, what sort of treatment was it?

Yeah, it's a really great horn, just in a totally different way than my B&S! The valve throw is super short, best valves I have ever used I think.
Very nice. But the final test. What does Jean Luc think?
The usual... that dinner should be an hour or two earlier!
Just looking at the bar saying 40 mins, this is gonna be a fun vid to watch
Hey Aidan, possibly a silly question… but when you got the valve section did it come with the tuning slides or were they an extra cost?
I supplied a bell and main tuning slide to Matthew. You should too, you'd sound great on one of these!!
Aidan I'm looking at switching to bass, from tenor what would be a good model to use, I'm in high school currently
the instrument or mouthpiece? I'd just use a school horn for sure.

I'm going to have a head to head here soon- we'll see if that stacks up!
@@AidanRitchie I look forward to that!
@@michaelquillen2679 I do have initial thoughts... wait for the video!
Don't you have an old trombone you want to give away?😢
Not really, no haha
@AidanRitchie anyway, I love your video's. Keep them coming
Right from the first note it was special!!
