    Nice - VERY nice...
    All your machine needs now is an automatic tool changer and a vacuum material hold down fixture and to be the ultimate dream machine.
    NOT saying that your machine IS NOT ALREADY the dream machine though...

    Hi I enjoyed watching your video and I took some notes, the devils in the detail hey, I picked up that it looks like you set stock to leave at 0.5mm then do finishing with 0.1mm step over as in 5 x 0.1mm spring passes with feed rate of 1000mm / m neat trick I will try that out today and see if I can get those mirror finishes . And chamfers don't get me started on chamfers you set your chamfer width to 0.4mm but it looks more like 1.0mm or is it just the camera angle etc, I have been having the same thing happen on my last job I set the chamfer width to 1.0mm and it cut more like 2.0mm do you think what it does is cut 0.4 in and 0.4 down ????? I don't know what's going on next time I will do 3 induvial chamfer programs 1 at 0.2 then try 0.5 then 0.8 and run them using single block function to try and sort it out Ok sorry I got a little derailed there Mate another great video I really like that you added the speeds and feed at the start of each operation You could go one step further and add some audio ha ha Cheers Bill

      Cheers Bill! Yeah I usually run 0.4-0.5 stock as a force of habit, a lot of the stuff I do is 25-32mm thick so big stick out and risk of chatter so I play it safe, could get away with 0.1-0.2 most of the time. Running the 3f at that RPM with the low feed does cause some rubbing and heat but on my machine that’s about the sweet spot as far as finish goes, talked about it on Discord a week or two ago with some examples comparing different 3f’s too (Polished, normal, unequal helix).
      Around the same time I posted some pics/videos of chamfers too, the back side op probably looked larger than 0.4 because I forgot to apply the rotation and it was a little out but generally seems to do what I’d expect it to do.
      Didn’t really intend on doing any videos but the first one I put up after Jaymis asked if I had anything on RUclips took off so I thought I’d throw some more up, might eventually put some more effort in haha

    First things first, your parts look absolutely amazing! I am, however, a bit curious of your machine setup. Such as servos/steppers, drivers, and controller? I am also, so curious as to how you are holding the part? Is it just some double sided tape?! If so, what tape is that? Keep up the great work! -Caleb L.

      Cheers! It’s a pretty basic PrintNC build, just Nema23’s, StepperOnline DM542T drivers, PicoBob controller from Expatria (RP2040 chip for step gen, runs grblhal, utilises a Mach3 BOB for isolation).
      Just blue painters tape and mitre adhesive for workholding most of the time ✌️

      Thank you for the information. Keep up the great work! I run a large 3 axis machine for my day job and am in the works of building my own machine in my short amount of spare time, to hopefully get to making parts as nice as yours, some day. Stunning work, man!

      @Beeeaned  2 месяца назад

      It’s a relatively cheap (Compared to the alternatives) one I found on UK eBay, a search for “spring loaded diamond engraver” should show it up.
