Actually the OG scorpio was not crde . It had a plain 2.6 turbo diesel engine producing 109 hp and 260 nm.This one was the 2005 facelift.

My father bought all models of Scorpio.... I was raised in scorpio😂.... Currently we have s11 when I was born my father was having turbo then bought crde then mhawk then s10 now s11 he is the biggest fan of scorpio I've ever seen in my life. I learnt driving in scorpio my younger brother is learning in scorpio too 😂 we have two scorpios right now s10in white and s11in black.... This car is legendary noother car can give the pleasure of driving scorpio

I absolutely love the Scorpio, I had a white Scorpio, bought it in 2012. Was an absolute beast drove it for little less than 9 years, did bout 1 lakh 89 thousand kilometres in that beast. Absolutely no problem with the vehicle, engine was perfect. That vehicle never left me stranded. Unfortunately had to sell it last year around December since I was moving out of India. I’m coming back this year and cannot wait for the new-gen Scorpio to launch. Definitely gonna get it.

The 2.6L CRDe is one of the most refined engine as per the segment standards and yet the figures were impressive at 116horses and 277Nm🔥
Mahindra Scorpio had the legacy of bring Muscular And Macho. I hope that the new generation will continue this legacy even further🔥

These engines were the most reliable ones and being a car of 2006 it's still premium to be honest
We have 2011 facelifted Scorpio VLX which has Mhawk engine and it was for 12.5L onroad back then.
My general review
Pros -
- The seating position (Everybody knows that lol(
- Punchy engine
- The engine sound is quite pleasant to hear
- Can put 4 people in middle row if needed
- Go anywhere . You will never have to care about roads
- The freakin paint quality !!!! We have Mystic Purple and there are few scratches over the body but you won’t see the black bumper color when you scratch it . Like now a days if you get a scratch you will start seeing under color and paint is very thin but with Scorpio the paint quality is really thick.
- Good boot space when 3rd row seats folded (we had opposite facing seats)
Few great features:
- Tire pressure monitoring system for all 5 tyres (spare wheel included)
- Auto headlamps and auto viper
Rear parking sensors (good for a car of that time)
- Seperate arm rests for both front seats (they are aligned properly)
- Voice assistant (Once our car heated up and it did made us know about that)
Cons
- Not so good head lamps
- Body roll but its fun
- Spongy and not so good brakes
- No airbags . It has ABS and other few features though
- AC has constant issues with cooling and even Mahindra isn’t able to solve it

Scorpio was such a game changer! The car that elevated Mahindra's presence and reputation in the passenger vehicle segment! Before Scorpio, their cars were used to be so rudimentary!
Scorpio was like the murderer of legendary Sumo, ruled for a long time, then got killed by Innova!

Proud owner of scorpio 2005 2.6 still makes me fell like new cars are just cosmetics this is the real loin and the best part is that I have maintained the stock and didn't go for any of the accessories. It still goes till 150kmph at ease after 17 years

We have a Scorpio he is 18 years old crde turbo 2.6 the first one i still drive it he is in exelent condition..... It was reaaly the king at tht day people ask recognise soo soo soo much attention grabber at that day...Reading this comments bringed me many many memories 😭....... We are only using Scorpio no any other cars till date now.... Planing to upgrade.... Hence we are not goin to sell him.... Its hard to say goodbye to him... My family and tht car is sooo close even my mom we love him soo much and keep him clean amd nice everyday❤️
This one is not the og Scorpio… the one with small taillights… that was the og one. That car was a different sensation and nostalgia altogether.
We also had one, 2005 model same colour, it got stolen in 2009 in Delhi, thankyou @faisalkhan for bringing back memories of our lost beast, I cannot bless you more, because of you I got to relive those happy moments again, loved the vehicle so so much as a child it is one of the most beautiful memory of childhood. Thankyou So much for this video. (Writting this with tears in eyes).

They advertised it with a girl flying a helicopter and the guy with black scorpio. In that period There were many cars on highways more powerful thn Scorpio but people drove them slow, on Scorpio was the car which always fast like You said. ❤

Whats the point complaining about seat armrest, soggy clutch, gear vibration, and seat comfort when you know the car is nearly 20 years old and has done 1.22 lakh kms. There is no absolutely no logic behind judging a a 20 year old car.

The Scorpio which was launched in 2002 had different tail lamps.
Those small tail lamps are the same which are made available in Scorpio getaway even today. ( In Foreign countries)

Faisal always praises the cars of brands like Volkswagen, Skoda etc .Which not only have poor after sales service But also expensive spare parts and negligible resale value. But he will never or very less tell the positive traits of brands like Mahindra, Maruti, Tata or Hyundai etc. He is literally talking about a 2000's car and expects good leg room, proper door pockets, noise from armrest...
When people get such bold and lit looks they often tend to oversee these un -necessary faults!!

faisal sir . i had this scorpio 2.6 2006 model and currently have the scorpio 2014 model.mahindra have just degraded its charm by using mhawk engine instead of m2dicr.that is what i feel.

Smooth engin infact new gen scorpios se ye gen jada sahi ha fully raw machine hamara off-road pe jada kam rehta ha to ham audi ko chodd kar scorpio hi choose karte ha infact mai pura interior engin bay sab boring ke pipe se wash kardeta hu easy to clean h🤣 plus jitna bhi gehra pani ho road pe nikal hi jave ha
