  • In this video you'll see how my dad (Jeff) and I (Adam) went about build the horizontal stabilizer for the Zenith 750 Cruzer Experimental kit plane we're building. The horizontal stabilizer is the part of the airplane tail that sticks out horizontally (hence the name) and is used to stabilize the aircraft in flight and provide a solid structure on which to attach the elevator (the moving control surface that makes the plane go up and down).

    Thank you guys for the video series. Great motivation for me. I am planning on a 750 STOL build with a Viking powerplant. Just waiting for Sun-N-Fun to make my final decision.

    It surprises me that it is all pop-rivets and not squeeze rivets. Is that an option, are they all supposed to be done that way, or did you guys make that decision?
