This is my second recreation of the opening to Doctor Who, as a teaser for my "16-Bit Doctor Who" project. This is the opening and title screen for a theoretical game based on the 2007-2010 series (featuring David Tennant).
If you recognize the credits in the opening, you should know which episode I will be re-imagining... - Кино
0:33 Not with that attitude
Richard can't?
can't what?
can't handle this?
can't swim?
can't WHAT!?
you made my day
It's like a JonTron-style joke!
Lol
_CANT_
Richard Cant.
Well, let's just say the odds were stacked against him from the beginning.
Doctor Oct... As a creator of Doctor Who title sequences myself, I must say, nothing I've ever done tops the epicosity of your amazing videos. BRAVO!
How about a 16-bit Capaldi opening? I would like to see it.
@DeltaGem Its been 3 years, has it been done? This is a question btw like I'm actually asking cuz I can't find
No No No No
12th Doctor was shit
@@crazycrown5568 Opinions are opinions, even bad ones.
@@mysteryghost7972 And that is and example of a bad one
what about 11’s?
edit: he already made 11’s
I want to play,... I want to play...! I WANT TO PLAY !
Richard just Can't, man.
No matter what version of the theme tune it is, 0:38 has always been my fav part.
Because its the middle 8
Middle eights are cool
mine is 0:27
Thank you for placing Freema Agyman as the companion in the credits, that made my evening!
Weeping Angels: Taking Staring Contest to a another level
Yea makes sense I stared without blinking for 1 whole minute
This is really impressive, looks like an authentic sega genesis game honestly
Am I the only one who pressed ''Press start'' without realizing it was a video.
No.
Cindy Hong Good ;-;
Okay. Allons-y!
***** Catchphrase*
Leo
if this was a game, i'd play the fuck out of it.
Dammit, ten years later, and I’m still nearly fooled into thinking I’m about to see some Super Nintendo gameplay at the end of this vid. Insanely good work!
0:33 Oh yes he can!
Richard Cant must of copped some shit for his name at school
This puts me in the mood for coming up with concept ideas for future doctor who related videos
Aaand, as of yesterday, collegehumor FINALLY got around to uploading the DoctorOctoroc-animated "Dr. Who RPG" video to their RUclips account!
SO THAT MEANS YOU WILL BE DOING THE WEEPING ANGELS YAY XD
@TheMichaelkirkland That would probably make it more accurate to the SNES's rendering of the colors - the only problem is I'd have to render just the vortex that way, render it, then add the names and other effects - otherwise, the colors in the vortex itself would shift too noticeably when other objects come on screen and add colors to the total. Unfortunately, .mov files render frame by frame so the color scheme is chosen per frame, not for the full animation.
5 1/2 years...
I sadly don't think it'll happen...
i'm making it happen
Yeah, that's a track from the project that this video is a teaser for. I'll post the full soundtrack from that once it's finished.
_aggressively smashes start, possibly breaking finger_
I literally screamed when i saw this. This is totally AWESOME!!! I love the sound and picture. 5 stars ;D
This is one of the best ways to get copyright free but fr this is freakin amazing
You have no clue how much this made me smile! ^_^

THIS IS ADORABLE!
Allons-Y!
rainbowyoshi1239 lol
Fantastic
GERONIMO!!!
For god's sake... Gallifrey stands!
Shut up.
"Richard cant"
NOT WITH THAT ATTITUDE
No Richard can. Just try and try again
Judging by the cast, it'd be based on 'Blink'.
Awesome episode.
That is amazing also with the video game music Doctor Who
The bit of music @ 0:20 was brilliant!
Yeah, I think it's safe to say The Doctor in any form is just fantastic.
If you’re wondering, the episode is Blink.
The press start screen came up and I almost cried.
Why isn't this reeeaaaal.
Love this. Please make it a reality!
it slightly bothers me that tardis is spinning the opposite way than in the actual 2005 intro but this is still amazing
This is pretty darn epic
They are available on my website.
Do do dooooooooo oo oo oooo.
I want to play this NOW!
Nice job with simulating sprite scaling! You and I both know what that is.
You should do one for the 7th Doctor's music. I always thought that it and the opening video seemed perfect for a game.
That looks so fun!
As soon as I saw Carey Mulligan's name I knew what episode it's for. Oh this is gonna be great!
This is awesome!
This is awesome.
Well it did introduce us to the 1-3 Doctors no doubt but i'd say the Black and White Era was more of a classic beginning to the Doctor Who series.
too much epicness!
This is awesome
'sokay. It'll be done when it is. Looking forward to it! Good luck and have fun with it! :D
"Licensed by Nobody" left me bursting out laughing!
@twitterboy96 Adobe Flash for animation, Photoshop for drawing, FL Studio and SNES sound font plugin for the music/arrangement.
@GoateeMan No, but I kinda wish I did use that. I did some old school style 3-D rendering of a hollow tube with a texture I created then rendered it at a limited palette of colors to simulate a Mode 7 effect.
I like how that texture on the sides looks the funnel it reminds me of games form around 2000ish likeee quake?
This Should Be a Real Thing i Would Be Playing this in My Condo Forever
This is a painfully convincing game intro.
I honestly can't help but love this.. Its what I get for playing NES and SNES as a child. Bah!
I demand MOAR, good sir.
MAN, now I want to play this game.
you do realize when this gets made the universe shall end...
Please do the 13th doctors theme next ?
It's the cast of "Blink". Just figured it out!
I am feeling so bad that you worked so hard and few people watched this
Wow!
AMAZING!!!!!
*gasp* you did Blink! still haven't seen it.
Cool looking mockup. I guess it could be done on real hardware, specially on the SNES; it could be done on the Genesis too, but the zoom and rotation would have to be done via software.
It was indeed.
0:38 hell yes!
START! START! FOR EVERYTHING GOOD AND HOLY, START!
@HarjKSTV Yeah I don't know when the Doc will release it but it will be based on the first episode you see the weeping angels in, in the revived series'. The episode called "Blink" i think
Eyy it's the opening I grew up with
I wanna see all of the Doctor Who titles in this style
"Licensed by Nobody" OMG I laughed so hard
you know, considering the sound font of this music, it'd be more like "the SNES game" rather than Genesis.
Do it man! DO IT!!!
You have to make this!
@DoctorOctoroc Ah. That makes sense. And now that you mention it, those drums do sound quite Yamaha. Not too different from some of the old PortaSound keyboards, actually, which I believe had FM chips very closely related to what's in the Megadrive (certainly sound like it). Still, this definitely gives off a very distinct 16-bit game sound, even if it's a combination of two systems. Though I seem to recall some SNES sounds having pretty sweet drums too. Megaman X comes to mind, for example.
YES PLEASE
@Swenglish FL Studio + SNES soundfonts. There is a wealth of them out there, but the SNES RPG's have the best sets. Lacking on the percussion though (save the timpani). The Genesis / Megadrive soundfonts come through with the killer drums.
That explains why my 8-bit doctor who game has that intro:D
If you blink, you get a kill screen.
I like it, nice one 👍
UUUUUUUGH, I want this *so* *bad* you don't even know...
awsome!
You are now the god of 16-bit.
9 years....
"LICENSED BY NOBODY" - heh, cheeky!
I would pay so much money to play this
I would play this
great for a video game
@infrafan Although it did bring us the sonic screwdriver wiimote. Although I'm not sure if that's as much a consolation as it is an extension of this unfortunate tragedy...
Epic!
Will we be able to download this one soon, like the 2010 one? It's so good!
They did, it was not (the video was titled "Doctor Who RPG", but the first line of the script reads: "A TITLE CARD for a 16-bit RPG: DOCTOR WHO"), and most importantly: As DoctorOctoroc has already informed us (and is corroborated in the credits on their site), _HE_ animated the collegehumor vid. So, they beat him to... himself! (Very timey-wimey.)
Nobody Who? Nobody Who? NOBODY WHO?
Hello! I was wondering if I could use this for a Pokemon Doctor who romhack I'm working on. I will give you credit for the intro! (I'm new to making romhacks so I'm not sure if I can put it in mine...)
Very happy you used tennant for this. Anyone else and i wouldve been dissapointed. Im a big fan ;)
WANT THIS GAME!!!
David Tennant, just how I like it.
I'll name my first kid Nobody.
