Steven Wilson is guitar & lead vocals. Richard Barbieri on keys, Gavin Harrison on drums, Colin Edwin on bass and John Wesley on guitar & backing vocals

This tune is part of an incredible concept album, Fear of a Blank Planet, one of the best prog albums of the past 40 years. There is so much great PTree music, aside from the various solo and collaborative projects that keep Steven busy. He has also remixed many classic albums from the '70s and brought out some amazing detail. A true genius who seems to have stopped coming to Detroit. It's always good to hear Steven Wilson!

Steven is the lead singer and was in his early 40s when this was recorded. Yes, he's young looking.

Steven Wilson is my personal hero, but Gavin Harrison is so incredible it's insane! His drums blew my away live, like a sonic drug pummeling thru my skin. I could live forever in the final 5 minutes of this song.

Amazing band from the mid nineties right up to last year’s tour.

For a neo-prog jamming band, I also love some of PTree's poppier tunes. I recommend "Stranger by the Minute" from Stupid Dream and "The Rest Will Flow" from Lightbulb Sun.

I love Baby Dream in Cellophane from Stupid Dream too & Russia On Ice + the Title track from Lightbulb Sun.

Arriving Somewhere but not Here is the best song I've ever heard, this is close imo.
React to that, I'd love to see it! Same artist.

Nope.... Steven Wilson is the Singer / Guitarist / Songwriter.... The Keyboardist is Richard Barbieri... He was the keyboard player for a Britsh band called Japan. An also very idisyncratic band. Richard likes to create soundscapes rather than traditional keyboard lines and as you can here, they fit in perfectly with the band and Steven's songs. As an illustration here's another Porcupine Tree song.... "Arriving Somewhere But Not Here" which is all Richards atmosphere at the beginning. The link is the live version. Hope you like it. Keep on Rocking. And another subscriber...!!

Great reaction and well done returning to the genius that is SW. Soooo many other recommendations that could be made, but if you're liking his band Porcupine Tree, try checking out a few tracks from their most recent album Closure/Continuation LIVE release just back in 2022. 3 tracks available on RUclips are Harridan, Fear of a Blank Planet and I Drive the Hearse. Would love to hear your thoughts on all of them so take you pick keep the Steven Wilson coming!
