The problem with Daniel is that it’s not so much as superiority. It’s just that Daniel is stuck in his own experiences. Terry is someone who pushed Daniel to becoming too aggressive and self destructive and pretty much traumatized him. He’s the main reason why he couldn’t accept Cobra Kai returning in the first place. It was only through Miyagi that Daniel regained his confidence and was able to overcome the torture Terry put him through. When he saw Sam acting more aggressive it pushed him even more because it reminded him how he was when Terry was getting in his head and he doesn’t want anyone else to go through that. The problem is not everyone is Daniel and not everyone needs to learn exactly what he had to learn to find their own balance.
@@ScottRutter Sometimes that does help because experiences are lessons in and of themselves. But Ali put it best, that there are three sides to every story. Silver is crazy intelligent. I believe not even for a second that he didn't go to Daniel and Jonny to trigger that old trauma in Daniel. He litterally planned that to seperate his enemies. And it worked perfectly.

He saw Silver and Silver basically reminds him of a time when he was led astray from Miyagi-Do and so Daniel is tying to defeat Silver again by not being led astray again and stay with Miyagi-Do teachings. Seeing Silver basically made him revert to his season one self. It also doesn't help that Sam has gone fight crazy all of a sudden and is spouting stuff that isn't helpful.
Seeing Silver basically triggered trauma within Daniel, which is understandable given how much pain Silver forced Daniel to endure, it's understandable why Daniel chooses to solely focus on Miyagi-Do. Also, I'm personally not surprised that Samantha's advocating for Cobra Kai's fighting philosophy given how unsuccessful administrating Miyagi-Do helped her during Season 3.
Sam honestly has had a strike first mentality since season 3. She led that arcade fight where Demitri got his arm broken. Instigated hurting the CK students during that soccer fight. What she is doing here doesn't surprise me, it just amps what she already feels is the "right" thing to do.

My personal favorite episode of this season. I loved all the flashbacks & from KK1 & "Burning Heart" from Rocky IV during Johnny's montage. Loved the "go to another angle" from Johnny during the replay. Hashbrown Dead Meat😂
it's still insane to me that the cobra kai kids' take on "we can't fight them directly" is to jump a kid, hold him down and shave his hair. I mean, it is a step down from breaking into a house and throwing a kid through a window- but their equivalent to miyagi-eagle fang getting them sprayed by sprinklers is still straight up assault!
The goal was to cut his hair off, not hurt him. They could of beat the shit out of him when they had him pinned, or break his arm like Hawk did to Dimitri. The fact that they had him pinned down, at their mercy and all they did was give him a haircut is tame compared to what Hawk himself got away with. Besides, he had it coming.
@Drew McKenzie And still no where near as bad as what Cobra-Kai did when Hawk himself was a member, more often than not instigated by Hawk himself. Besides remember what Silver told Kreese when he said he had Robby under control 'Not from where I'm standing' Robby does what he wants, and the others follow.
I agree, it's fucked up what they consider to be the equivalent response to getting soaked with the sprinklers, but to their credit Hawk won't have physical signs of being assaulted (aside from the slight scuffle getting him pinned down) and they could claim he cut his own hair off. But it's a blow to his self esteem and also a message sent to the Miyagi-Do kids.
Ralph Macchio is a baby face so it was believable for him to appear younger.. Silver is like 6'4" or something lol, looks way more like an adult back in the third movie and now with his literal silver hair here, he definitely looks older.
Actually they stated IN the movies that DIRECT face contact was illegal, so basically direct hits to the SIDES of the face with a punch or kick were illegal, but a kick brushing the nose wasn't. And in the show, they get away with ELBOWING people in the face so I guess there goes that rule.
Cobra Kai is too extreme they get wet by sprinklers so they jump hawk and cut his hair Miguel gets kissed by Sam so Robby breaks his back plus the home invasion and so much more
Bloody Daniel just has to act all high and mighty. He is very infuriating. He talks big game in terms of meditation and balance and when everything is going fine he loses his head and starts acting superior.
Look at it from his mindset. Silver, yet another pscho from his past, shows up working with Kreese again. And his issues with Silver are MUCH more personal. Silver wasn't just an enemy, but he betrayed Daniel and fucked with him mentally for who knows how long. Seeing Silver back, its very understandable that Daniel is desperate to take over. Because he knows what Silver is like and capable. He was tricked by Silver. He doesn't want Silver to have any sort of advantage again. Its frustrating, but it makes perfect sense. And I think its just as frustrating that Johnny was throwing a fit because Daniel dared to become a mentor for Miguel.
@@Billyregin What fit are you talking about. He felt jealous. Have you not felt jealousy ever before. Anyone can feel jealous, the problem would have been if he acted on it, which he did not. He showed restraint, talked to Carmen about how he felt instead of sabotaging the Alliance like Daniel did.

This training montage was only missing Johnny chopping down a tree.
Fun fact the guy that plays Terry Silver is actually a year younger than Ralph Machio.
*Everyone* isn’t lost without Miyagi. Only Daniel is.
you guys are forgetting Mike Barns , the Karate Champion Silver hired to Mess with Danial. He was a beast and Danial won the tournament against him barely, but couldn't beat him in a real fight, got his ass kicked bad.
"Barely"? Barnes didn't have a FREAKIN' clue how to counteract what Daniel did, so he wasn't a beast he was just a cheap Johnny repeat bully, who wasn't even a good fighter. That was a "real fight," Barnes went around hitting people that weren't even TRAINED FIGHTERS, he was a bitch bully. In real life, his ass would be in prison, if you have an advanced belt in Martial Arts you CANNOT START FIGHTS with civilians, it's against the law. In a "real fight," Robby would TROUNCE Barnes any day.
@@radicalreactions1633 Don't have to like him, but just recently rewatched Karate Kid 3 and he Messed Daniel up, in fact that Tournament fight he was roughing Daniel up bad, only reason Daniel won was because of scoring points Silver wanted him to suffer so he had Barnes just Rough Daniel up instead of scoring causing the time to run out putting them into sudden over time instant death match. Then Daniel was able to get the counter and score the one point in the match. He lucked out quit a bit that they were more interested in torturing him than winning.
Have you guys watched Grimm..I've just got to season Four.. Its freaking amazing.. I had no idea how good Grimm was.
Basically they went all Street Fighter on this one.
Exactly! this fight is like a SF final round. A Ryu´s high kick vs Guile´s high punch and a DRAW GAME :D
It's Mike Barnes, he's the last Cobra Kai guy.
Hey Blind Wave
You ought to react to all the Rocky movies.
My personal favorite episode of this season. I loved all the flashbacks & from KK1 & "Burning Heart" from Rocky IV during Johnny's montage. Loved the "go to another angle" from Johnny during the replay. Hashbrown Dead Meat😂
10:39 DOUBLE K-O!
The twitter thing killed me
The most unrealistic part of this whole series is the idea that walkman still works.
you guys need to get Aaron caught up with the Rocky movies
How many monster energy drinks do u guys drink per week??
it's still insane to me that the cobra kai kids' take on "we can't fight them directly" is to jump a kid, hold him down and shave his hair.
The cobra kai way that Robby WARNED Johnny about with Hawk still harassing Kenny, and as usual Johnny didn't listen, oh well.
@Drew McKenzie So is what Hawk has done to half of his bullied victim, like Dimitri.
Karate’s Bad Boy, Mike Barnes for season 5!
i know this was probably answered by them already somewhere but I can’t find it… is there a reason for no uploads of their attack on Titan reactions?
still find it crazy that silver is a year younger than dan macchio in real life
Ralph Macchio is a baby face so it was believable for him to appear younger.. Silver is like 6'4" or something lol, looks way more like an adult back in the third movie and now with his literal silver hair here, he definitely looks older.
I dont know why people keep calling it an illegal kick. Anything above the waist is legal. And a kick to the face is legal.
People just salty, haha
Actually they stated IN the movies that DIRECT face contact was illegal, so basically direct hits to the SIDES of the face with a punch or kick were illegal, but a kick brushing the nose wasn't. And in the show, they get away with ELBOWING people in the face so I guess there goes that rule.
Easily one of my favorite fights in the series
It was amazing. This show offers showdowns I have been waiting for since I first saw the movies.
Cobra Kai is too extreme they get wet by sprinklers so they jump hawk and cut his hair Miguel gets kissed by Sam so Robby breaks his back plus the home invasion and so much more
Still got Mike Barnes guys lol
Bloody Daniel just has to act all high and mighty. He is very infuriating. He talks big game in terms of meditation and balance and when everything is going fine he loses his head and starts acting superior.
Yeah he annoyed me this season. He is on his damn high horse, by the tournament is at it's worse.
@@Billyregin exactly.
@@dcfanboy4766 My point clearly sailed right over your head. Both Daniel and Johnny's actions here are frustrating, but understandable. I never said it was awful Johnny was jealous. I said it was frustrating, same as Daniel. You can be frustrated with someone but understand why they're doing something or feel a way.
Daniel also clearly has some sort of PTSD or trauma from what Silver did to him. Im guessing you've never experienced that, which is a good thing
more cobra kai pls
daniel is all about "oh i wont strike first" but will proceed to do everything into gauding and provoking someone into striking first, smh this dude
Good excuse. And Johnny's all about his "students not being pussies" yet he doesn't have the BALLS to step up and take care of HIS OWN KID, so who's the real pussy?
@@radicalreactions1633 and thats a problem he’s realised, but daniel is self-righteous and sees no wrongs with anything he does. Nobody’s perfect that kinda the point of the show lol no need to get your panties in a twist
when are you gonna see the new season of attack on titan???
Yes miyagi-do
Very good theories though...
As far as im concerned that Silver "kicked her" is canon now.
Dutch and Mike can return.
Wow it was posted 10 mins ago and and has 2k views
Early access on Patreon means it's been up for a couple of weeks... that's why some of the comments are a few weeks old... this isn't a new concept...
Think that guy on the scooter bumped Johnny which is why he broke the scooter. The Kids have the power to literally tell them that they either allow them to learn both styles or else they’ll stop training under them. Daniel and Johnny need the kids to stop Cobra Kai. I wanted Miguel to step up and yell at both sensei as he did to Johnny while learning to walk again. He gave Johnny the talk he needed. Daniel is too hot headed and thinks his way is the right way
Grown man running around the city assaulting people, but Daniel is the jerk?🤷🏿♂️
"obra Ka" Edges sliced off...confirmed. Booooooo!!
:)
Daniel was too full of himself this episode
Fun fact the guy that plays Terry Silver is actually a year younger than Ralph Machio.
