Actor Thomas Ian Griffith ( Terrry Silver ) is absolutely brilliant in this season and even eclipses what he did in KK3. Was brilliant that Terry's girlfriend and party crowd were all new agey. Hilarious !
The writers are geniuses. They fixed and explained some plot holes from KK3 and took a lemon and made lemonade from it.

A good start to the season! Seeing Terry Silver explain himself during the events of KK3 was everything I need 😂 him saying he was “hopped up on cocaine” and that ending, things are setting up for the rest of this season!

John Avildsen was the producer of both the Rocky franchise and Karate Kid. That's the connection and why it's referenced so much in Cobra Kai.

I agree with Sam if he goes down the path of Cobra Kai and if it doesn't end well for him that was his choice that's what she was trying to say that would be his mistake not choosing the right path she was just trying to get everyone together so I don't think she was doing it for herself in my opinion

Robby is definitely the Anakin Skywalker of Cobra Kai in my opinion. I love how he uses both Miyagi Do AND Cobra Kai

Fat from the best but her relationship with Miyagi was believable and she is the most accomplished actor of all in the KK universe

I also think someone from the new karate kid will appear. Julie and maybe the gym teacher (or if his thugs) but i do honestly think it's Julie because she's mr miyagis only other student. I think her and Daniel met at the funeral. Why else would he talk about her to robbie in season 2. Even if only for a moment

"Rocky" movies are continually referenced in "Cobra Kai", so you might want to watch "Rocky" 1, 2, 3 and 4 to get the references.

Karate Kid 3 wasn't the best movie but Terry Silver was one of the most beloved characters in the franchise..and in Cobra Kai you're gonna love him as much or even more than in the movie.

You know..contrary to popular belief, cocaine can be a confidence builder..the trick is to know when you get that confidence, to leave it behind...same with amphetamines, and trust me, I've been there..but I am an exception..I am non-addictive personality with a bad side trait of being an enabler..I am toxic to addicts because I can walk away from anything..my brain is programmed to get bored with drugs or anything..but having that ability of which only 10% of people have, can be toxic to a friend or mate..because when I walk away, me trying to get the other person to quit, I become the a$$hole..and it is not a position you want to be in. If everybody could walk away, drugs would be legal..but the reality is we cant. So Terry walking away from cocaine is a step in the right direction because he is an addictive personality. I really wish I could just give this trait to everybody I know..but life doesnt work that way. You have to steer clear of those weaker, and that limits the relationships you can be in.
Tory is hardened by life so she is a fighter in order to survive. She's basically alone and has no mentor so she is just doing what she knows.
Sam is the opposite. She has lived a pampered life and is spoiled and head-strong because she always got what she wanted.
Both characters are "unbalanced", and that is kind of what this whole season 4 is about. It applies not only to Tory and Sam, but also to all the characters this season. It's pretty great how the writers of the show explore how each character is unbalanced in some way and how it adversely affects their life.

I like Robbie's character but he's not doing the right ting, he's doing this out of payback because he feels so let down by Johnny and Daniel.
Yes, part of it is payback to get back at Johnny and Daniel and Miguel and Sam. However, he also wants to be better, so he uses teachings he has learned from everyone and doesn't want to become a loser in life, like he thinks his father is. So, with Robby, it's not just revenge that motivates him, he really does want to be the best he can be.
Dad dude--how have you not seen the Rocky films? I love and get what you are trying to teach your kids and its better than 90% of parents out there...but I gotta be honest, I lose a little respect with you not ever seeing Rocky I-IV. This series has so many ties to what was learned there. Please..PLEASE! react with your kids. Your kids are what gives me hope in the masses of sheeple in the newer generations. They aren't buying it..all this unicorn crap...please..I'm not trying to be mean..but you really need to watch the Rocky movies.
