The tire calculation is nice, if your tuned on Hondata there is a setting where u can change ur tire calibration to the tires u put onto the car. Love the content! U were one of the first type r owners i stumbled upon 🙏 keep it up

They look great!! When I got my FL5 I had to swap my wheels and tires to get them changed to my summer tires too!! It’s crazy how much room the Type R’s have, both the FK8 and FL5! Really practical for a higher performance car!!! Love it!!! Keep up the phenomenal content brother Cameron!! Been lovin the channel for a long time! Ay I also go 255/40s drove it for about a year and I’m loving it. Also I’m really looking forward for when you install the spoon springs. I was debating on getting them as well
I have the exact same year and color as yours i have TE37 ultra track edition ii 19” on her, TE37s are the cleanest rims on FK8 IMO. ❤❤❤

I just noticed something with the way the wheels are designed, it doesn't make it look like the lugs are sticking out past the wheels. The setup looks good.

I love the TE37SLs so much that I have two sets for both Cars!! I had to since I only like the SLs and are discontinued. Regardless of the future of TEs...it will be TE37 FOREVER!! Played out or not...Best looking Wheels in the World!! 💪

Congrats man! looks great! I Dont at all want to sound like a hater, but it kind of makes your CTR blend in with EVERY other CTR with TE37s. I was so stoked when you decided to put on silver Titan 7's. I dont have wheels on mine yet but the Titan 7's are my pick. Either way looks sick bro! Keep it up!

A 1.9% discrepancy isn’t a big deal. The 265/35, or a 275/35 in my case will handle better than a 255/40, I’ll take that over a 1.9% increase in milage. I ran 255/40 prior and the 265 handled much better

Looks good Cam. I like! You drove right by some beautiful roads. You just gotta get off 75 man! Turn Right at Bushnell! The one thing you didn’t say is running smaller tires gives lower gearing so better acceleration and worse fuel economy. Going bigger diameter is higher gearing so you lose performance. It’s very negligible and I wouldn’t run 20 series on that either. The numbers your talking about don’t matter at all. Couple hundred miles over 20,000 miles doesn’t matter at all and the computer has to make up for tire wear and such anyway. My Speed3 came with 215/45/18. That size only lasted for when new. I been running 225/45/18 since what 08-09. As long as your not going crazy diameter difference any would be fine. I like the tire size and wheel size you choose though as you’ll get better ride(allot) and you made it a little faster as your gearing is now 3.1% lower. So you actually lost 5.2 mph top speed(who cares!) But gained 3.1% acceleration. At least once they hook up😂 I think our cars be very close race! I’m 309 at wheels and almost same weight. Be good roll race!😄

You are totally right about the gearing and effects on acceleration, but I completely disagree that adding 600 unnecessary miles onto your car is not relevant. Thats a big difference.

Nice stuff man, I’m normally not a fan of bronze wheels but I get that most people are. Regardless the car looks nice, and if you are happy with it then that’s all that matters! Lowering springs will definitely make it look better too 🤙🏼
fun fact, if you put smaller side-wall tires on, you actually get more torque out of the car since you're increasing your final drive ratio :) vice versa, with bigger side-wall tires than OEM, you get better mpg at the cost of acceleration/torque

@Camhill182 Mines on stock springs but my friend ryan_type_r is on spoon springs, the stance is really good and he really rates them, I don't think he has too much trouble with scraping.

Get some 5mm spacers, it’ll bring it out a tad and will look better
Not sure about your car but you can adjust for different tire size…. I know we used to do it for gm cars where I used to work
But, also should point out that the can CAN be recalibrated for a different tire size.
