Hi there Sam! Thanks to your helpful tutorial I managed to get my Ipad (air 5th generation) working as a second monitor for my Windows PC (Ideapad 3 14ALC6). Also I’ve tinkered with the settings to get higher resolution though I couldn’t do anything about the refreshing hertz, it was fixed to 30hz. Anyway I tried Blender, playing ‘Unpacking’ and it works fine with touch and apple pencil. Thank you so much and have a blessed day Sam :)
did you try it for a drawing program originally on the PC? Im wondering if photoshop's pen pressure feature would still work if you are drawing on the iPad with the apple pencil, or would the apple pencil act just like a mouse with no pressure sensitivity?
Tried this exact thing with iPad on Windows 11 PC. Worked very smoothly. My case was slightly different. Had a monitor already connected. iPad was the third display. Yet, VERY SMOOTH.
I try with my Zenbook laptop and old iPad with cable. I use this cable: type C with high connection and connector for lightning. And there is no lag at all. Very thank you for your information. UPDATE: I also use my old Apple Pencil and it works great! No lag at all by using cable. To make it works, you have to install iTunes first in your Windows laptop.

i am a photographer and having a problem with the calibration of my laptop monitor. I have no access for now to use another good monitor. This is really helpful for I can now use my ipad as secondary monitor. CHeers!
This works like a charm, thank you! The pen also works, and if you duplicate your screen, you can sort of use it as a graphic tablet. It's a tiny bit lagging behind, but still very usable!

It was really helpful! I Like your straight-forward communication style. I have a iPad pro with Apple Pen Gen2 which works flawlessly. The main downside is the low refresh rate on the iPad (30Hz).

As a comment I did not get the option to select spacedesk as an audio option (in case i wanted to use ipad speaker) just the computers speaker and I have windows 10 and an ipad pro. Also regarding the comment about ipad pencil working i can confirm it does, you can move windows, scroll and select items, the pointer seems a bit small and laggy but workable!
I found a way to increase the refresh rate to 60: From the ipad app go to settings then Quality/performance, then you can find the FPS rate and you can customize the image quality/latency

Unfortunately it doesn't offer any advantages. Inputlag is as high as with wireless connection and it is impossible to overcome 30 fps.
