The Touch is by Stan Bush. It's not by Lion.
disney sucks

This "Nickelodeon fans" comment makes this video even worst bc y'all didn't put Pokemon on here.
If Tom and Jerry & Looney Tunes hadn't been on the list..I'd have seriously called Police
A J it was on the list

@@johnyakuza777 yeah
Well said. I would probably say the same thing about the Mickey spinoff series & Peanuts.
@@BigRion16 I am the only idiot who didn't even know that g i jo even exist
I'm so blessed to have been born in 1983 these kids today have no idea how great we had it in the cartoon department.
@Chiriac Puiu sure
Cartoons made nowadays are kinda trash. Modern day stuff fails to capture what the older ones had. Spongebob and the Simpsons are probably the best cartoons from the 80s/90s that are still out there for modern day audiences. I was born in 2006 and I still think that 90s/80s stuff is better. Back then it was made with actual quality, now most cartoons only exist for profit.
Very true
I was born in 2003 and I say the old cartoons truly were better. They were so fun to watch, and when I turn on the tv and see some of them running, I just sit back and enjoy the show. I've noticed that the newer ones are severely lacking in the animation quality of their predecessors.
Reruns helped out the kids who were born after the 90s
"Which instantly had Lion's iconic Transformers theme song stuck in our heads forever"
*plays The Touch from Stan Bush*
Im supprised Thundercats didnt get an Honourable mention. I wouldnt have put it in ths main list but deserves an HM
Or the Real Ghostbusters.
And the justice league animated series...
not really a franchise...
@@sanji1259 It's about to get its third show. I'd say it's a franchise.
@@lonedragon3261 2 shows make a franchise? Not so sure bout that
I can't lie that some of TMNT franchise really have good shows, even the 2012 Nicklodeon version was spectacular!!!🙂👍🏾💯
Yep! My favorite version was the 2003 version.
The Nickelodeon 1st show 2003 TMNT cartoon was awesome
2012 is my favourite 2018 and my 2nd favrouite
From age of 3 and now at age of 18 still watching tom and jerry
I'm 20 and I have never stopped loving the classic Tom and Jerry.
my uncle is 60 years old and still watches it it is the onlt kids movie that everybody from 1 to 100 years wathces
How can Transformers be so low on this list as it has basically never been off the air (Give or take a few years here and there) over the past 35 years and their toy sales and movie tie-ins are worth billions? When was Tom and Jerry relevant outside of kids from the 80s and 90s and when was the last time you saw any of their toys on a shelf?
The fact that you still remember their name shows their class
Also the movies werent mentioned unlike mickey mouses spinoffs and other movies.
Dude they're not talking about most selling toys or or the money made its all about the most popular among all over the world also many people resent even know that transformers has an animated series while every single person knows or have at least heard about Tom & Jerry .it's not about movies in your city lmao XD
@@adjunctarmadillo2176 What city do you mean as I have lived in Australia, Greece and now London and almost all young and old know what you mean when you say "Transformers" and T&J are not as well known outside of "Oh yeah I've heard of them". You would be surprised how few kids know about Tom & Jerry or any of the older pop cultural references some people of the older generation know and grew up with. I remember going to Uni in my late 20s and 18 year olds who I studied with (Film no less) had not even seen or heard of Robocop or Voltron among other known franchises (This was before the reboots) I was like you in that I was sure more younger people knew who I was talking about when I said "The Fonz" but no, they did not, at least not as many as I was sure they would.
Everyone knows tom and jerry. I live in darkest Africa and even I grew up with them. transformers was ok but it's just on your radar now because you follow those stupid cash grabbing movies.
The X-men cartons, Jackie Chan Adventures, Teen Titans, and Xiaolin Showdown are my 4 favorite cartoons of all time. Sad that none of them were even mentioned in this list.
80 years of the Batman.
50 years of Scooby Doo.
35 years of TMNT.
35 years of Transformers.
30 years of the Simpsons.
@@albertoromero5075 That too, thanks. 👍
70 years of Tom & Jerry
75 years of Thomas the Tank Engine.
45 years of Teenage mutant ninja Turtles
@@FuturesquashArchive4Concerts *35*
You certainly yabba-dabba don't exclude The Flintstones from this list.
I think it falls off because it pretty much died after the 1980's. A fair point though as Popeye had more longevity but I doubt anyone under 30 knows either.
@William Connors WatchMojo in another list claimed the Flintstones franchise killed itself off the minute they introduced The Great Gazoo, probably why they didn’t express too much interest in showing it in a positive light. I heard a live action adaptation with an adult Pebbles is due in 2021; for better or worse. Even though I sampled lots of older television like The Three Stooges, Bewitched and I Dream of Genie in my teen years. The Flintstones never left a huge impact on me.
It’s so sad that the voice actor for Minnie Mouse died this year 😭
These cartoon franchises will always be my favorites.
:(
Man i sure love the old GI joe and transformer cartoon

To me there isn’t a more iconic voice than Transformers Soundwave... Epic
Yep! Decepticon wise. Autobot wise, most iconic voice goes to Optimus Prime.
Always liked Looney Tunes better than the Disney stuff, though they were both good. But honestly, Tom and Jerry rules!
I don't know about Looney tunes as #1. Mickey mouse cartoons are less violent but Looney tunes are more entertaining. To me, it's a tie.
warner brothers is an overall better company than Disney at least they’re open minded about making adult content.
@ShadowSamuel Looney Tunes made more sense to me than Disney. There was always a point to the stories their cartoons told, whereas Disney was, for the most part, just silly. I've never been fond of "silly," for its own sake, even when I was a kid. LT was more "true to life." Their themes were more mature. Same reason I preferred Marvel over DC.
Me too
My man
Looney Tunes will always be better than Micky Mouse and friends.
Yup
True. But Donald is a better duck than Daffy to me.
@@cnsayin8847 Daffy's is way better
Totally

I love THE LOONEY TUNES
What happened to them?
Chase Hedgee they are still making reincarnation of it because they are making the new looney tunes
Their in the mobile game: World of Mayhem.
@The ManHammerAR15 But that was just Foghorn Leghorn. I say, I say, you hear me, boy?😆
If you want to watch the old Looney Tunes cartoons, they are on the channel Boomrang. The newer version of it isn’t that great and drawing sucks to me
I thought Scooby-Doo was going to be Number One
It is for me
I did too.
*Number 1:* 1960s Spider-Man
_Not only the animation becomes a franchise based on the comics, it has memes. Lots of memes._
Where’s He-Man Masters Of The Universe in all of this 🤔 I think someone needs to do their homework 😤
wogboy12 i was surprise to see that He-Man and She-Ra wasn’t on the list
Facts
Uhh ight I'ma head out
wogboy12 he man was amazing put I can’t put him over anything on this list
This video has me waxing nostalgic, hard core! Think I'll be bingeing me some old school cartoons next weekend!
What a excellent , wonderful, and comforting list. That why I love you so much Ms. Mojo.
In talking about the Teenage Mutant Turtles you forgot to mention that the franchise also had 3 live action movies and a stage show back in the 90's. Hell the turtles also had their own snack foods.
Batman and Scooby-Doo should have been higher. But I have no problems with Mickey being up top.
1984 to Present Primax Universe (G1, Beast Era, Car Robot, Prime Wars Trilogy and War for Cybertron Trilogy)
2002 to 2005 Aurex Universe (The Unicron Trilogy)
2007 to 2010 Malgus Universe (Animated)
2010 to Present Uniend Universe (Aligned)
2018 to Present Cyberverse
35 years of Transformers cartoon
Where’d you get the names for the universes? Can you tell me? I is curious.
Now days the plot of gi Joe would involve them accepting Cobra and never fighting for anything.
RICK: Morty we're not list
Morty....
MORTY:Oh jeez Rick
The fact that you didn’t put ATLA on this list...
TMNT is my favorite cartoon. Especially the 2012 version.
This should be a part series because there are to many awesome classic!!
Dave Mustaine on duck dodgers.
Jimmy Carter: _When one sees Mickey Mouse, one sees happiness_
Disney: _When one sees Mickey Mouse, one sees royalties_
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Ooooh I got a like
Wait why is it blue.
Here's one that isn't.
Spider-Man, He-Man, and Thundercats should’ve at least gotten an honorable mention.
Jake Hardin I agree. I loved both the late 90s Spider Man and the 2011 Thundercats
my childhood favorites are all here. love vid, keep up the good work
I knew when I saw Looney Tunes at #2 that Disney would be #1.
The reboot series of Tom and Jerry are truly sucks tho, the classic one is the best
I remember watching J. I. Joe and collecting it’s action figures when I was little.
my entire childhood in 15 minutes....thanks for the memory trip
X-Men 90's animation should have been on the list. But there are way too many iconic animations for a top ten list. It's a tough list to put together.
I agree with you . But I understand why it is not there at the same time. Should have gotten an HM
X men had a good run but as a cartoon franchise it's not top 10 worthy
X-Men animated series is not a franchise
Powerpuff girls terrible reboots aside this franchise started on what a cartoon as shorts following their debut in 1998 became the crown jewel of cartoon network
No one outside the USA considers the peanuts franchise worth anything... Not an insult, just true.
Ed I live in Canada, and i can tell you that’s not true.
@@EGSLurks he is right. No one outside America cares about peanuts. It's a stellar cartoon series but yeah...
True
Peanuts was huge all over the world in the 1960s, 70's and 80's, but since then it has fallen into obscurity in most of the world with the exception of North America.
Phineas and Ferb will remain the my favorite cartoon show!
13:16 The House Of Mouse & 13:24 Ducktales. Part of my childhood.
Now this is my kind of list. Who else grew up watching these shows?
From 1960's Spiderman reruns to Bugs & Daffy show to Duck Tales. yes.
@@nagash303 You sure had a great chilhood. I respect that. 👍
So do I, I watched them all, I loved them all.
It's only a matter of time before Mickey Mouse owns ALL franchises.
The Scooby Doo and Supernatural cross over was legendary
Looney Tunes is the best cartoon ever!
Gi joe n transformers were the best part of growing up in the 80's!!!
Forever My Little Pony and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...♥
You forgot Teen Titans franchise (without TTG)
Beloz TV • they are connected so you can’t forget them. So, I see why they were forgot. Lol.
Will Teen Titans Go have to be on this list.
The only great Teen Titans series was the Cartoon Network one that ran for like 5 years or so. The other entries on the list have been around for decades.
Indeed
@@olleselin I've never thought of that show as a seperate franchise. I've alwaysed thought it and Batman were both part of the DC franchise (one franchise). Or is that just universe. I don't really know. Don't get me wrong. The original Teen Titans was one of the best animated shows of all time but five year long SERIES hardly counts as a FRANCHISE.
"Mickey Mouse & friends" better than Bugs & co. ???
Blasphemy!!!
Can you do a Top 10 Canadian Cartoons? I would love to see that!
I think the #1. best canadian cartoon of all time is Ed, Edd n Eddy.
And what about "Garfields"? Cant belive is not on the top
Batman and Superman animated series that played back on TV in the 90's was awesome. Awesome action animation.
can't believe The Flintstones never made the list. The very first time on TV where the husband and wife were shown sleeping in the same bed.
Also, the first Primetime Animated TV Series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It shows how much times change. Peanuts was iconic up until the 2000's. I suspect it has gone the way of Popeye and The Flintstones. Both of those were iconic and really had their last hurrah in the 1980's.
If I were doing a pre-1990's list only (No anime or those that started in the 1980's):
1) Looney Tunes
2) Disney
3) Tom & Jerry
4) The Flintstones
5) Peanuts
6) Popeye
7) The Jetsons
8) Yogi Bear
9) The Pink Panther
10) Woody Woodpecker
For anime, classic top 5 from the same time scale:
1) Space Battleship Yamamoto (Star Blazers)
2) Science Ninja Team Gatchaman (Battle of the Planets/Eagle Riders) - The originator of the 5 person team.
3) Speed Racer
4) Macross (Robotech)
5) Voltron - Take Science Ninja Team Gatchaman and every Shogun Warrior show before it and you have Voltron but it did it the best.
Bring back the glory days of cartoon. 😥😥😥
I love this list so much .
Cool vid imma hit that like button
The Voltron franchise will remain the classic.
11:06 so THAT's where nostalgia critic got that jupiter ascending nickname....! xD
While it might not be #1, I can’t believe Spongebob only got an honorable mention. I thought for sure it would be somewhere on this list
Can't believe My Little Pony and SpongeBob Squarepants got on the honorable mentions! But I've got a few cartoons that might have great franchises (including Anime Cartoons):
.The Smurfs
.The Fairly Odd Parents
. Blues Clues
. Sonic the Hedgehog
. Pokémon
. YuGiOh
. Naruto
. Sailor Moon
. Arthur
They probably should have done a top 20 for this one but that's just me.
I'm glad that the Peanuts, Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo and Looney tunes are on the list. But what about Popeye and Yogi bear? Don't they deserve an honorable mention?
Love the list
That's a pretty solid list in a while
My guess for #1 12:33 family Guy?!, Damn it
Man, the 80s G.I. Joe was like my thing when I was about 10. I even rewatched the whole thing out of nostalgia not too long
I agree with the list, those 80's franchises were my childhood and the cartoons in that time outmatched any era.
Probably the most on point countdown I’ve ever seen.
Awesome video
Anything DC Marvel looney tunes flintstones transformers Charlie Brown he-man Scooby-Doo simpsons and any Hanna barbera cartoon should be on this list that’s it
What about The Smurfs, The Flinstones, and The Jetsons? There were many other classics that you didn't mention.
Why why tom and jerry not number 1???
Because it is Watchmojo...
And they are biased...
Looney Tune should be number one.
My Little Pony should be #1
I thought the The Muppets would have made the list. Overall good list. I miss the 80’s. Watching all these cartoons
wth, why is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so low on the list
they’ve been around for decades-
saving the citizens of New York
they’ve had:
- several cartoons
- a multitude of movies
- numerous comics/books
- they have action figures based upon them
like- come on- where’s the logic/reason for them being so low on the list?
They should have at least been number six
12:27
Nobody:
Squidward: Ight Imma Head Out
After Mel Blanc's death in 1990, the voice of Bugs Bunny has never been the same
Etc is that sound in the original TMNT intro at the " hero's on the half shell" part?? I cannot for the life of me figure out that noise! Not me, not The AVGN not The Nostalgia Critic can figure out that odd sound, haha!!
💀Mickey over spongebob wow
Vladimyr Simon honestly
SpongeBob>bugs bunny>Mickey mouse
Mickey has almost a century of being one of the most iconic cartoon characters ever.
SpongeBob started at the end of the 1990's and he’s more of a modern cartoon instead of a classic cartoon. Also, Mickey Mouse has more cartoons, and The Mickey Mouse Club has 620 episodes far more than SpongeBob SquarePants.
My favorite cartoon in the Transformers franchise is Beast Wars
Spiderman deserved a spot.
Many great memories from my childhood.
I have seen all those..
Ohh that childhood days..
I miss always..
4:17 go stand in the corner you know what you did
Lol, the only ones I actually like you guys put in honorable mentions
I miss these cartoons
5:50 That's not the song by Lion. That's The Touch by Stan Bush.
Spongebob not being on the list is a SIN
Who else remembers growing up watching Batman
I'm really surprised that MLP only got an honorable mention
At #2, Looney Tunes Franchise and should be number one
While I like Mickey but Looney Tunes is way better
Whitley's Dollhouse Tom and Jerry is better in my opinion
To be fair my top 3 on this list
1) TMNT
2) Scooby-Doo
3) Looney Tunes
@@blitz4506 oh yeah, my family members love Tom and Jerry
I 100% agree because Looney Tunes is always the king of cartoons.
But i am a little sad that pink panther wasn't in that list even in the honorable mentions section! How could you watchmojo how could you???
