There are old houses and there are dark houses but the ones you have to watch out for are old dark houses. " Why?", you ask. Because strange things happen in old dark houses! Have you ever seen a movie where someone arrives at an old dark house and the weather is fine and there are pretty flowers in the garden and kitty cats and puppys are chasing butterflies? This movie will test everything you learned watching Scooby Doo, so get dressed , and wait for The Mystery Machine to pick you up and take you to saturday night where horror lurks within....' THE OLD DARK HOUSE'

If this is the Castle version, then this will be a really entertaining family evening. Castle's version, so underrated. Plus the great John Stanley....looking forward to Saturday.
They are showing the one from 1963. I see some in the comments wondering. It is in the description. Classic movie, though I like the 1932 version best. Hard to beat in the creepiness factor.
Yes, a remake of the 1932 precode movie Old Dark House, this is the 1963 film, British-American comedy horror film directed by William Castle. It's a fun romp, rather Disney style, like The Ghost and Mr. Chicken.
The Creep! Excellent. When "Macabre" came out back in the day my friends and I saw the trailer and we were terrified. We pronounced it, Mack-A-Bree. Love this channel!
Fenella Fielding and Joyce Grenfell! Two brilliant British comedic actresses.Robert Morley was always wonderful. It didn't matter if the film he was in stank,at least he was always watchable. Thanks for posting 👍🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️🐊🐊🐊
This was a super cute movie! I love watching old movies and seeing older actors that look like newer actors.. I think Owen Wilson looks like and has similar mannerisms as Tom Poston in this film.
I used to own John Stanley's "Creature Features Movie Guide" growing up. This was in the early days of VHS tape and few cable channels, so whenever i saw one of the movies listed in the book in my local tv guide, i would be sure to watch or tape it, because there was little chance it might air again. When my parents divorced, the book(s) were either sold in a garage sale or given away to Half Price Books. Used copies are hard to find and pricy on eBay.
No wonder I've never heard of Creature Feasure or I just cant remember the show I may have been too young, this particular movie is before I was born but I'm enjoying it now June 2023❤
I still have two of John's old Creature feature film guides which are both beyond worn and dog eared. He also signed both and wrote funny puns on the inside cover. An asside: My favorite Castle film: Sardonicus !!
I saw this movie when I was maybe 3 to 5 years old, in the mid 90s. My parents did *not* remember it, and I don't remember finding out what it was until maybe 2009 - 2010. Every time I tried to describe it, my Mom kept asking if I dreamed it. I get that it's strange, but how could I have dreamed of *this?* I can see how I might have dreamed about the boat part, but the other pertinent parts? No.
Pretty good special effects and make-up. A different take on the zombie genre. Another fine addition to Creature Features' growing library. No matter what week I tune in, I always find something to watch on Creature Features!!
Love you guys . I went to see this in the theatre in '63 when I was 11. We were fans of Tom Poston when he was a stand up comedian. He was one of three regulars on , I think , the Jack Parr show along with Louis Nye and Don Knott's. Robert Morley always a gem in everything movie he did. Charles Addams, who did the drawings in the credits, is the guy who gave us the Addams Family, the cartoon in "The New Yorker" and William Castle who we of course loved. Tricks in the theatres! He was one of our Horror Heroes. As always, much than, especially for tonight's guest, Jon Stanley. Oh yeah, I will always have a mad mad crush on Tangella. Keep 'em coming. I'm trying save money to get a Creature Features T-shirt
I didn't put the apostrophe in Don Knott's the phone took the X off ' much than. It's supposed to be a smart phone, so why is it so dumb? I have to go back and put the X back on ' much thanx but it refuses to let me, I had to do the second one twice. It has a red line under it on this end maybe that means it will stay this time. We'll see.
