Also, Aoife is right about where Eileen should be by the Cathedral Ward but she doesn't spawn until you unlock the emblem gate. After you talk to her and go to where you fought Gascoigne, she'll be fighting Henryk. You can help her defeat him (just try not to hit her too much or you'll antagonise her forever) to continue her quest line.
Aiofe you fell to one of the classic blunders the most famous, of course, is never enter a land war in asia. Slightly less well known is never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line. The third is never trust Johnny to retrieve large quantities of souls/ blood echoes.
the jars have incense smoke that burns to keep away the enemies that's why there's a lot of them in your safehouses and safe areas where there is no enemies they're supposed to represent safe areas
1:20:20 the pots that are stored all over are actually containers for incense that wards off the beasts. thats why there is a "lantern" on every door or window you can talk to an NPC because they are burning incense to keep the beasts out
A great werewolf movie you should watch if you haven't seen it yet is 'Dog Soldiers'. It's directed by Neil Marshall of 'The Descent' fame and stars Kevin McKidd, Sean Pertwee, and Liam Cunningham.
To this day I kick myself for not seeing the 'Matrix' reference coming. I always had the feeling that Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright did Shaun of the Dead, the ultimate 'British' zombie film at least in part, in response to 'Dog Soldiers' being the ultimate 'British' werewolf film.
I would have to say that "technically" the person that died with all the souls ( Aofie *cough*) is to blame. Not the one attempting the retrieval. But that's just my opinion.
LiftedVirus especially since she went without tickling up against a strong enemy... Twice. I was literally yelling at her to tickle. On the other hand... She was the one who earned all those echoes in the first place
Love this series as much as the Dark Souls one, but my tip, you can use the Brooch you got from Father Gascoigne to get a Blood Red Gem. You can insert it into your weapon using th workshop tool. Love you all and keep up the great content!
In my quest to try and stay at least one step ahead of you guys I killed a bloodstarved beast, got kidnapped, ran away (away) from the kidnappers, killed a vicar and two witches and now I'm lost in the woods. Pretty sure I'm ok for a little bit now
There is actually a thing called "the break room" in Melbourne, Australia, where you can pay to get a bat and wreck things up. No suit of armour, but otherwise, it's more or less what you're looking for.
Not to be too sentimental, but I absolutely love the conversation you guys had about guys rocking skirts/dresses which, as a transwoman, was a conversation I had within my own mind so many times. I cried a little hearing you guys talk about it as if it was nothing to worry about (because it isn't). Thank you for being wonderfully progressive :)
There is a secret place that you should check out ! It's behind the door that's halfway under the Healing Church Workshop ( 1:21:34 where the message said "Take a step forward")
Having so much fun watching you guys play! I've mentioned this before, but I'm actually playing along and this is my first playthrough. But I'm making sure that I'm always at least one boss ahead so I can give you as much advice as I can since it's still fresh in my memory.
In case you don't know, you can equip two weapons to each hand so you can then easily swap using left (guns) and right (hitty things) on the D-Pad. It'll save you going into the start menu each time. (I'm only an hour in, sorry if you figure this out later!)
Eileen won’t be hostile if you continue talking to her and follow her quest line. You’ll end up fighting a mad hunter instead of her and she’ll live (at least you’re lead to believe she lives)
That bit in final fantasy ix where you steal the granny's stash hurt me so much that on every subsequent playthrough I very deliberately ignored any "!" markers that came up in her house. I happily stole from everyone else though.
If you pull out a torch the beasts in old yharnam will for the most part recoil from the fire, it is more useful than having a gun equipped. Also you can already put blood gems in your weapons where you repaired your saw cleaver at.
Johnny gave it the big un last week about saying how good the torch was against the creatures, and then never uses it and dies to them. Gotta love Team Eurogamer
Seems like Eileen will appear at the spot you were looking (going straight from the Cath Ward lamp and turning left right outside) after you have unlocked both gates in the Cath Ward. I think you have the first one done but there is also one in that big circular area with the giant. then you can talk to her and go back and have her killed by the other NPC at Father G's lamp. probably not a great description, but I figured I would elaborate on my last comment.
RE Eileen: You have to go back to where you saw her after you've killed Gascgoin (Talking to the first red lamp will get you a flamethrower as well) then she'll end up at the Cathederal Ward. After that she'll fight Henryk in the same place as Gascgoin (You have to walk there rather than fast travel). Probably best to help her, as after that you get to buy Henryk's fancy gear, and you then don't have to fight Eileen later, but you'll still get her outfit.
These lyrics are particularly relevant to this BloodSouls series, Johnny: 'Don't you forget about dying. Don't you forget about your friend death. Don't you forget that you will dieeeeee.'
There are two rules that hold true for almost every enemy in this game: don't attack first and don't attack from the front. Cue Johnny and Aoife wading straight into the front of every enemy they see.
It's weird watching this after being able to play bloodborne for myself, because there's a route that doesn't involve running headlong at a hunter in a courtyard and a mini-gun wielding Djura.
I don't know how the hell you did it first time, Johnny, but for Vicar Amelia I just have three words: fire, paper, bravery. Basically, what I ended up doing was stocking up on blood vials, getting two fire papers from the messengers and then ran in with the transformed Ludwig's Holy Blade. I then just spammed attacked her until she staggered or I had to dodge backwards to use a blood vial or two and then when she started healing, applied the fire paper and put a stop to that nonsense. Also, it is possible to stagger her, although I did it accidentally with the blade instead of the left-handed wepon which in my case was the Repeating Pistol. Anyway, if you do get a lucky stagger, drop everything and go for the Visceral. Couple of tries to perfect the timing and once you've got it she'll go down in about five minutes. It's probably not the most elegant method, but it's effective.
I would never tell you guys how to play but can I offer some friendly advice? If you don't want to aggro a group of enemies but want to draw one of them to you, just throw a pebble. I'm sure you probably already know this, but it seemed like you were having a spot of bother (D&D reference😁) with the fork guys. Anyway, loving the play through.
You'll get more than enough resources to upgrade both to at least +6 without having to look too hard. I have the Hunter's Axe and Ludwig's Holy Blade at that level, but I played about 10 hours more over the weekend! (so much for playing along).
remember to use your torch more often, most of the Wolf like enemies fear the fire and will back off. also if you do the DLC you can get 2 blood rocks in the game so you can get 2 weapons to +10 no problem
If anyone is wondering where the "I hear you're a Werewolf now, father" reference is from. It's from a TV Show called Father Ted ruclips.net/video/6zkL91LzCMc/видео.html
44:53 - In the commentary for Van Helsing, the director recounts a discussion with Beckinsale where she's required to arm a gun while looking for a werewolf. Steven: "I'm going to need a bigger cock." Kate:"Don't we all…"
I waited until I completed bloodborne before watching this series. I want to know i fully blame you for the new game+ currently loading in. Love and loathing! xx
I won't lie, I laugh every time you guys do "I hear you're a werewolf now Father! ... good for you!" >_< I don't know why it amuses me so, but it does.
Johnny was right, Catholics recieve the Body AND the Blood. Some skip the blood, because it still retains the accidental properties of wine, or because of fear of sickness. But, I have never seen anyone receive the Blood without the Host.
Not to interrupt the comments with boring historical facts, but most naval guns probably didn’t have faces because they were mostly mold cast, however if you want to see cool cannons with tiger heads on them some of the Maharaja guns in India during the time of the English invasion were pretty heavily decorated ..... finally that history degree is paying off
All good movies in the list, but Dog Soldiers? Did you not like it or have you missed it? The Howling is also pretty effin cool. Despite the wolves having longer ears than a Lynx.
Hey friends, just so you know, the reason the saw cleaver does such high damage in Old Yharnam is bc it does serrated damage, which is highly effective against beast-type enemies.

The Dark Souls Album is done ruclips.net/video/hrTtGCDdkkQ/видео.html hope you enjoy it
Oh my goodness, this is AMAZING! 🙌🙌🙌
Tremendous work!
This is amazing, thank you!
Forever bullets will now be called "gun food", so it is said by Johnny so it shall come to pass!!
Also, Aoife is right about where Eileen should be by the Cathedral Ward but she doesn't spawn until you unlock the emblem gate. "I own shorts. I don't enjoy shorts..."
Ever day I feel as though I can relate to Johnny more and more. xD
From now on I'm going to star calling bullets "gun food"

Should we all be werewolves now? What's the official line the Healing Church has taken on this?
The official line is that we should try and find our worth in the waking world, werewolf or not.
A great werewolf movie you should watch if you haven't seen it yet is 'Dog Soldiers'. It's directed by Neil Marshall of 'The Descent' fame and stars Kevin McKidd, Sean Pertwee, and Liam Cunningham.

Johnny deserves more credit for coming up with "Alright Fred Durst" under that kind of pressure!
The intro of this video is officially the best
I can see a new album already in the making, I think I will start that now
Astraldragon Gaming Kickenstarter?
Might be fun but it more a question of getting the guys singing the parts :)
Astraldragon Gaming Yeah you should make a Bloodborne Album the Dark Souls Album was Amazing!
Johnny: Do you know where it is
Aoife: Left
Narrator: She Didn't
I would have to say that "technically" the person that died with all the souls ( Aofie *cough*) is to blame. Not the one attempting the retrieval. But that's just my opinion.

Glad to hear you like Ghost, Johnny! Fantastic music, their's is.
Not to be too sentimental, but I absolutely love the conversation you guys had about guys rocking skirts/dresses which, as a transwoman, was a conversation I had within my own mind so many times. There is a secret place that you should check out ! It's behind the door that's halfway under the Healing Church Workshop ( 1:21:34 where the message said "Take a step forward")
It was my birthday yesterday, and this was the greatest gift still, I've been waiting for this all week.
Having so much fun watching you guys play! I've mentioned this before, but I'm actually playing along and this is my first playthrough. But I'm making sure that I'm always at least one boss ahead so I can give you as much advice as I can since it's still fresh in my memory.
no mention of the Abandoned Workshop during the gravity platforming. If nothing else, you can get the Doll set to sell for lots (20-30K) of omnomnoms.
Ok who had 4 hours 39 minutes 13 seconds on the Johnny's first Bloodborne gravity death sweepstake?
I need to know where to send the prize hamper...
In case you don't know, you can equip two weapons to each hand so you can then easily swap using left (guns) and right (hitty things) on the D-Pad. It'll save you going into the start menu each time. (I'm only an hour in, sorry if you figure this out later!)
Bless you guys for introducing me to Big Train. I always appreciate discovering more sketch shows from across the Pond.
When Johnny hit that glitched enemy with a stone, priceless.
If I was stuck in Old Yharnum, I'd want a blankie too... 😅
You guys have got me back into bloodborne after I got stuck on gasgoine anf gave up and now I'm in the unseen village with the laser shooting amygdale
Eileen won’t be hostile if you continue talking to her and follow her quest line. You’ll end up fighting a mad hunter instead of her and she’ll live (at least you’re lead to believe she lives)
"Fuck you gravity!" Johnnys back on form!
That bit in final fantasy ix where you steal the granny's stash hurt me so much that on every subsequent playthrough I very deliberately ignored any "!" markers that came up in her house. I happily stole from everyone else though.
In the elevator to upper cathedral ward theres another door about half way up. theres an item or 2 out that way
If you pull out a torch the beasts in old yharnam will for the most part recoil from the fire, it is more useful than having a gun equipped. Also you can already put blood gems in your weapons where you repaired your saw cleaver at.
The intros to these videos are just the best :D
You said 'stickle'! I'm taking credit for that! :D
Johnny gave it the big un last week about saying how good the torch was against the creatures, and then never uses it and dies to them. Gotta love Team Eurogamer
I have waited all day for this
Just a tip even if you don’t get the visceral attack it gives a damage boost the next attack that lands.
Aoife's stagger on the Blood-starved beast to (pretty much) finish it off was just loverly!
I was just thinking "Not heard a Men In Tights Reference in a while" then 1:44:52.

Always wondered what the B stood for in Richard B Kickens, nice to know its blood.
Notice you were asking about gems. You can do it from the normal repair workshop but you need a tool. It is in an area you already visited
The Life Bot they got it
These lyrics are particularly relevant to this BloodSouls series, Johnny: 'Don't you forget about dying. Don't you forget about your friend death. Don't you forget that you will dieeeeee.'
They've got Blankies!
Adventure Time does a Why-Wolf bit in an early episode. "We're creatures possessed by the spirit of inquiry... **and bloodlust.**"
I still miss Rik Mayall

The door at 42:16 leads to Darkbeats Paarl
If you want to feel particularly yucky than you should know that Sarah Patterson was actually only 12 in The Company of Wolves...
ARGHHHGGHGHH
Yet again helping mend my mental health on another dreadful Monday.
Anyway, loving the play through.
every boss has a gimmick, pugnant blood cocktails can be used to distract the bloodstarved beast to the spot you throw it at.
Amelia
You're breaking my heart
You're stealing my Blood Echoes daily,
Oh Amelia
I'm down on my knees
Take me back to the Hunter's Dreeeeeeaaaam...
Simon &Garfunkle?
@@mr.mephitis2492 Yup, that's the one.

No love for Dog Soldiers???
I always hate it when I run out of gun food
All episode I was waiting for you to get forked
It was worth the wait
Alfred is more a Hunter of Vilebloods than a Vileblood Hunter. I just assume they had a finite amount of letters to use
If you're looking for a great weapon now you've got the radiant sword hunter badge you can buy Ludwig's Holy sword off the messengers
This episode's Peak Wilson: "Prick! Prick! Prick! Prick! Fuck off! Fuck off! Fuck off! Fuck off!"

00:00 - GENIUS!
08:40 - More genius!
44:53 - In the commentary for Van Helsing, the director recounts a discussion with Beckinsale where she's required to arm a gun while looking for a werewolf.
Steven: "I'm going to need a bigger cock."
Kate:"Don't we all…"
I think Bloodborne is more entertaining than dark souls let's play as Johnny is way more confident in combat.
16:02 My BoTW instincts say "Just glide past 'im"
Wolf with Jack Nicholson, The Howling and as a few others mentioned, Dog Soldiers are a few more good Werewolf movies.
Eventually you’ll have enough upgrade materials to max out two or three weapons so for now don’t worry about not being able to use the kirkhammer.
Steampunk Lemon you can only max one weapon per ng cycle. 2 if you do the old hunters dlc
Johnny could get some jorts to show off his legs. That would make Ian happy.
I would hug the large axe guys behind as he can’t hit you with his weapon.
I waited until I completed bloodborne before watching this series. I want to know i fully blame you for the new game+ currently loading in. Love and loathing! xx
Fully following you a year later in the same damn boat.
When I heard "Summon Alfred" I immediately thought of Alfred from "Batman the Animated Series" addressing "Master Dick".
I won't lie, I laugh every time you guys do "I hear you're a werewolf now Father! ... good for you!" >_< I don't know why it amuses me so, but it does.
YES GINGER SNAPS. Such a good film. So, so good.
Yarnham? I barely knew em
Johnny was right, Catholics recieve the Body AND the Blood. Some skip the blood, because it still retains the accidental properties of wine, or because of fear of sickness. But, I have never seen anyone receive the Blood without the Host.
It’s fine Johnny! You didn’t lose 20k souls! You lost 20k blechoes! XD love you lot!
My eardrums are still ringing from Aoifes screams. Johnny must be going slightly deaf in his left ear?
I heard the vicar has four ears, two for listening two are kinda backup ears and also has a tremendous fear of stamps.
Luke Oxley Mrs. Doyle was telling me that it’s got magnets on it’s tail, so if you’re made out of metal it can attach it self to you!
Thumbs up purely for the "blistering saxophone solo". Miasma's hands down the best track off Prequelle!
Can someone tell me where the "so I hear you're a werewolf now father, good for you!" Comes from?
It's two quotes from Father Ted mashed together. The entire series is just brilliant; watch it all.
Night Cat Thanks friend. I'll do that
I would fly to the UK just to smash pottery with a sword and Zelda music
That opening song was fucking PEAK CHIODINI. Spat my tea all over the place.
How early in the morning is this recorded?
Can we have a Chiodini's Schooldays spin-off?
Outstanding start, Johnny
Not to interrupt the comments with boring historical facts, but most naval guns probably didn’t have faces because they were mostly mold cast, however if you want to see cool cannons with tiger heads on them some of the Maharaja guns in India during the time of the English invasion were pretty heavily decorated ..... finally that history degree is paying off
All good movies in the list, but Dog Soldiers? Did you not like it or have you missed it? The Howling is also pretty effin cool. Despite the wolves having longer ears than a Lynx.
Random question of the week:Howe meany tattoos does Johnny have?
Afrikaans Gamer Many, but not enough
Eileen shows up after you open the 3 Cathedral gates I think. Pretty sure Aoife was at the right place
Hey friends, just so you know, the reason the saw cleaver does such high damage in Old Yharnam is bc it does serrated damage, which is highly effective against beast-type enemies.
I'm just waiting for Orphan of Kos.... 😉
Wrote a little something, thought I’d share it here:
The ballad of Richard Kickens - To the tune of Feel by Robbie Williams
Coming into Yharnam
I ran into a werewolf
Not sure I understand
What the hell’s going on here
I died and then woke up
Got a saw cleaver and pistol
I’ve become a hunter
Now I’m on the hunt
And my name is Dick
But you can call me Richard Kickens
And I’ve got so much blood
All over my face
Going to waste
Not sure if I can die
Or if these guys can be killed either
I’m at the Cleric Beast
And it’s gonna be dick kicked
Kicked that thing to death
And I’m gonna keep on going
It’s Father Gascoigne
Who is in for a kicking
I just wanna kick
Gascoigne, kick him in his little dick
And this prick’s really fast
Now look he’s a beast
Oh it’s time to feast
And I need to kick
This prick, kick him in the dick again
I cannot get enough
And my name is Dick
But you can call me Richard Kickens
And I’ve got so much blood
All over my face
Going to waste
I just wanna kick
More pricks, kick them in their little dicks
Got so many blood echoes
There is so much more to go
It’s the Yharnam I know
Welcome to the hunt
My name is Dick Kickens
And now I understand
The dicks just need kicking
