As an arsenal fan, I’ve thought we’d get 5th or 6th this year. And really challenge for top 4 next year. But it seems like we’re “ahead of schedule”. All the fans predicted the fall off later in the season hence there being such importance placed on the Jan window to get reinforcements in to help with depth and give team a boost, no signing and Zouma cat-gate has caused a quite toxic atmosphere which we'll do well to bounce back from. I see us finishing 6-8th which is good but disappointing considering what could've been achieved.
Lack of rotation seems quite strange too, I get wanting to do well in all competitions, but playing a nearly full strength team at Leeds in the cup when you had a midweek game for example can't help surely
About your comments on Conte, as a Spurs fan who has been following intently on what all the media and inside sources have been saying, it is mostly the media that negatively interprets Conte's rhetoric, when in reality he believes a lot in the team and repeatedly states he is happy there and wants to fight. All the players love him and respect him and he has the full support of the dressing room so I don't think he is a weakness. Much the opposite

Tottenham getting Dier back is actually massive he provides direction to the defense. I am not saying Spurs will get top 4 but I think the consistency is about to get better especially if we get Skipp back. I would love the top 4 but this is a project so we can't get too excited. But also I think we should focus more on the FA cup. I would take 17th place if that means we win that trophy. Getting into Europa League could actually be better for us so we can slowly return to adapting to European football with larger clubs, Champions League would be great but would we hang around for longer than in the UCL? Focusing on FA Cup is understandable
wolves fan here and i just cannot see us getting top 4 tbh. I feel as though we'd have to squeeze every drop of quality out of this squad, compared to arsenal, united or spurs who could get away with performing at 90% due to their 'clutch' players. One thing to keep in mind with the Wolves xG is game state and how they play. Once they go 1 up then they stop attacking and defend the lead, therefore their xG difference will be lower as they're not necessarily looking to score another. Great video as always though James!
That's not true at all, we rarely try and just sit on the lead unless they're putting us under pressure. We play far better football than we used to and still haven't shook that narrative because we struggle to score.

I think Spurs simply because they have the star quality in Kane and Son, a world class manager in Conte that has improve every team that he has been at and has organised the defence (that is not made up of great players), the boost in confidence due to the win against Man City. I'll grant that I may be deluded, but I also believe from watching the team every week, that everyone is seriously underestimating our chances, including our own fans. The manager really is top notch, tweaking the team for the opponent week by week, and making good adjustments midgame etc. The defense speaks for itself. The attack since Christmas has also increased the goal per game average, scoring 13 in 8. And now we have Hwang, Jonny, and most importantly Neto back from injury, adding up to the best squad we've ever had. 6 home games vs bottom half teams. I’m an Arsenal fan, so naturally i’m always going to be more biased towards us whether consciously or not. Having said that, we are building something great. We have great defensive structure and are consistently good at creating chances too. Of course we have a young squad so one of the biggest questions is does this team have the bottle to go and achieve top 4, or will their lack of experience cost them. I think we will get it but it will be tight. I think Spurs are our biggest threat as opposed to United. Getting at least a point in both games Vs Spurs and United will be huge. Great video James

My gut is for Arsenal too, I have a feeling this is the biggest crossroads in a very long time for them too. I think it’s well within their grasp and I think this poses itself as an opportunity for Arteta to show that he has got the capability, as well as CL qualification giving him the evidence to request further backing and improve his ability to court players of Vlahovic’s calibre. I think it could also be a point from which ESR, Saka, Tierney etc give themselves the platform to kick on and reach the elite level of European football and if they miss this opportunity I worry it could lead to some of them looking elsewhere for the CL football they probably deserve. Very interesting to see how this develops from here.

hey James, great vid as usual. I'm an arsenal fan (and I don't want to get my hopes up) and I also think there is a real energy in the squad at the moment. Our defence is solid, our best in years and we just seem to grind out results. The players seem really keen on achieving great things for the club, and I absolutely love that. Getting back in the champions League would be huge for us to build an even better team for the future
Two more factors you also should've covered; Games between the teams fighting for UCL and the top 3, for example the NLD is huge. You should also have covered the remaning fixtures, not just the home games, but the away games too. For example, you'd expect Arsenal to win vs Watford away.
right now we're (arsenal fan) 4th and we have 3 games in hand over united who we're 1 point ahead. our players (especially in the midfield) have been looking absolutely phenomenal recently so i think finishing the season top 4 is well within reach

As a Spurs fan I would say I think Arsenal is the most likely to get it, followed by us and then Wolves. Man Utd and West Ham have big focus on European competitions so might have to play some weaker sides in some crucial league games and drop some points. Wolves are the outside shout because of how defensively strong they are, but might not score enough goals to get over the line. That's where I think it becomes between Arsenal and Spurs, just favouring Arsenal because they have a stronger starting 11 (with us having Bentancur and Skipp out injured) and we still have the FA Cup where as they don't. Painful to write btw
Moyes has been very consistent in saying how WHU are underachieving/ not playing their best footy... just about every game since beating villa 4-1 (as in 4-1 vs Villa not quite up to his standards) and even before that I believe... Gives us fans real confidence that he's the man to take us forward. Would never rest on his laurels

The biggest weakness for Man Utd is their inability to win the that they are expected to win i.e SOU, BUR and Villa. Also their inability to finish their chances is a big headache.

Am I the only one who thinks that Weghorst went to the wrong team in Claret & Blue? West Ham needed a player up top with Antonio dropping off and he'd have been a great asset. His mobility and closing down is unheard of for his size, would have been a step up for him and would have been a new and different asset of the Hammers especially at the price Burnley paid.

Good video up to the part where future fixtures were factored in. You have to consider all of those, not just some. United has a hard remaining programme, so I expect Arsenal to finish 4th. You also need to consider how United are playing, which for large parts of games remains quite poor.

That's not true at all, we rarely try and just sit on the lead unless they're putting us under pressure. We play far better football than we used to and still haven't shook that narrative because we struggle to score.

I’m a spurs fan and Arsenal are clear favourites at the moment. Hoping we can go on a run and give it a go, especially because we’ve still got Arsenal, West Ham and United to play but I don’t think we’ve got enough consistency even if by some miracle we win those games we’ll go and lose to Norwich
Think spurs are worth more of a shout, the return of both Romero and Dier to the starting XI is huge and bentancur and kulu starting to find their feet - could be something to change the inconsistencies. Also out of the Carabao and conference league!

united are most likely for me, with sanchos uptick in form and RR's use of substitutes showing his understanding of games on top of the wealth of riches in the squad, then its arsenal based on their cohesive squad similar to that of liverpools with exciting young talent that can singlehandedly win a game like that of the brentford game, those two are the favourites with utd just pipping it in the end imo

I think Spurs simply because they have the star quality in Kane and Son, a world class manager in Conte that has improve every team that he has been at and has organised the defence (that is not made up of great players), the boost in confidence due to the win against Man City. Wolves fan, and I'm glad Jim has at least given us a look, unlike most others. I'll grant that I may be deluded, but I also believe from watching the team every week, that everyone is seriously underestimating our chances, including our own fans. The manager really is top notch, tweaking the team for the opponent week by week, and making good adjustments midgame etc. The defense speaks for itself. The attack since Christmas has also increased the goal per game average, scoring 13 in 8. And now we have Hwang, Jonny, and most importantly Neto back from injury, adding up to the best squad we've ever had. 6 home games vs bottom half teams. It's all gonna come down to the matches vs the rivals, starting tonight. FWAW 🐺

I’m an Arsenal fan, so naturally i’m always going to be more biased towards us whether consciously or not. Having said that, we are building something great. We have great defensive structure and are consistently good at creating chances too. Of course we have a young squad so one of the biggest questions is does this team have the bottle to go and achieve top 4, or will their lack of experience cost them. I think we will get it but it will be tight. I think Spurs are our biggest threat as opposed to United. Getting at least a point in both games Vs Spurs and United will be huge. Great video James

My gut is for Arsenal too, I have a feeling this is the biggest crossroads in a very long time for them too. I think it’s well within their grasp and I think this poses itself as an opportunity for Arteta to show that he has got the capability, as well as CL qualification giving him the evidence to request further backing and improve his ability to court players of Vlahovic’s calibre. I think it could also be a point from which ESR, Saka, Tierney etc give themselves the platform to kick on and reach the elite level of European football and if they miss this opportunity I worry it could lead to some of them looking elsewhere for the CL football they probably deserve. Very interesting to see how this develops from here.

This and you have to say the biggest benefit for Arsenal as you pointed out is having no other distractions that the league which is great for fatigue injuries and time to focus on game at a time. hey James, great vid as usual. I'm an arsenal fan (and I don't want to get my hopes up) and I also think there is a real energy in the squad at the moment. Our defence is solid, our best in years and we just seem to grind out results. The players seem really keen on achieving great things for the club, and I absolutely love that. Getting back in the champions League would be huge for us to build an even better team for the future

Two more factors you also should've covered; Games between the teams fighting for UCL and the top 3, for example the NLD is huge. You should also have covered the remaning fixtures, not just the home games, but the away games too. For example, you'd expect Arsenal to win vs Watford away.

right now we're (arsenal fan) 4th and we have 3 games in hand over united who we're 1 point ahead. our players (especially in the midfield) have been looking absolutely phenomenal recently so i think finishing the season top 4 is well within reach

As a Spurs fan I would say I think Arsenal is the most likely to get it, followed by us and then Wolves. Man Utd and West Ham have big focus on European competitions so might have to play some weaker sides in some crucial league games and drop some points. Wolves are the outside shout because of how defensively strong they are, but might not score enough goals to get over the line. That's where I think it becomes between Arsenal and Spurs, just favouring Arsenal because they have a stronger starting 11 (with us having Bentancur and Skipp out injured) and we still have the FA Cup where as they don't.

Moyes has been very consistent in saying how WHU are underachieving/ not playing their best footy... just about every game since beating villa 4-1 (as in 4-1 vs Villa not quite up to his standards) and even before that I believe... Gives us fans real confidence that he's the man to take us forward. Would never rest on his laurels
What a vid! I would say that those "home bankers" could be a good gage for most teams but Wolves are actually better away from home - making that 58 less relevant to us. It is exciting to see how many "easier" games we have though.

The biggest weakness for Man Utd is their inability to win the that they are expected to win i.e SOU, BUR and Villa. Also their inability to finish their chances is a big headache.

My gut feelin' as well it is for Arsenal to lose. All they got left is the PL, that young squad got so much energy and hunger, their defense is up their with the best atm. One game a week is a no brainer. No distractions whatsoever. Only thing as you said that can derail thejr run is injuries.

I love the video but you entirely disregarded wolves at the end. You didn’t give a reason as to why they wouldn’t be challenging with United and Arsenal for that spot.
Wolves have been very good but are already 5 points off arsenal. Arsenal also have 3 games in hand. Even if in those 3 games arsenal only picked up 3 points, 8 point gap is massive with only 10 games remaining.
Am I the only one who thinks that Weghorst went to the wrong team in Claret & Blue? West Ham needed a player up top with Antonio dropping off and he'd have been a great asset. His mobility and closing down is unheard of for his size, would have been a step up for him and would have been a new and different asset of the Hammers especially at the price Burnley paid.

Good video up to the part where future fixtures were factored in. You have to consider all of those, not just some. United has a hard remaining programme, so I expect Arsenal to finish 4th. You also need to consider how United are playing, which for large parts of games remains quite poor.
Look at Man United's fixtures in March as well. Crazy month for them.
