Thanks for sharing. We're running into this issue on a Lemons race car build with the J series engine in an accord. Looking forward to second part about disabling it all.
This video saved my tail. Absolutely 100% worked. I pulled a used ECU from a salvage yard. I couldnt get the chip de-soldiered so I just cut it out with side cutters. Plugged it in. IT FIRED UP!!!! CEL is on now but I could care less. Thanks for this video!
Went to drive civic today, nope. After work started to diag. No codes, no spark or fuel. Checked data, immo = ban. Realized green immobilizer light wasn't coming on at all. Found your video, snagged receiver from another civic awaiting a trans rebuild. Learned new to car unit and bingo. Thanks! You would think a code would be set, but no communication with immobilizer system nor flashing immobilizer light.
I’m glad you were able to diagnose the issue with your Civic! It’s wild how sometimes there’s no code when there should be, especially with immobilizer problems. Swapping in the receiver from another Civic sounds like a smart move, great thinking! Thanks for sharing your experience, and I’m really happy the video helped you out!
I'm no thief. I have a 2004 accord rra-a05 and the swap from my buddies car and I didn't cut the pigtail for the immobilizer unit though I have it and the matching key. Anyways. I'm putting in in a kp61 toyota starlet and idk about the check engine light being on and want to simplify the setup as much as possible. You're telling me I can remove the eeprom and have favorable results. I'm capable of doing it both ways, I admit that'd be much easier
Everything that you said was going on with that car is what I’m going through with mine I took out the chip like you said what do I need to do now to get it running again please I’ve been working on this car for a year now I would really appreciate your help I’ve hit a wall with my car and I have a lot of money tied up in it so please help me to do what you done with your car I don’t have any money to give you but I’m really desperate to get it running sir and thank you for your video I finally have a little bit of hope again!
I did this to my stock ecu and my car is doing the same thing green key flashing still and still doesn't start Now i just probably messed up my ecu for no reason

That's pretty crazy that it runs without the EEPROM chip In it! Thanks for sharing!

When you removed the eeprom chip did it start?
I did this to my stock ecu and my car is doing the same thing green key flashing still and still doesn't start
Now i just probably messed up my ecu for no reason
thats because you didnt follow all the troubleshooting steps as seen in the video. watch it again carefully
Is true if I remove the cheap tha car. Will have problem in transmission if is automatic?
Yep, mine did. Check engine light on and car is put into limp mode and will not shift correctly.
Where’s part 2 programming?
check the channel, like and subscribe!
I'm having the same problem. So I just need to remove that chip in the ECM?
Yes sir!
