@@Mirrori I've always been curious about how do people can watch a film at Sundance, I know it's a festival but at the time like this how can I watch a Sundance films? Do they have online streaming platform that I can subscribe to?
I've noticed that the majority of movies, TV shows, sitcoms and advertising now have inter-racial couples. Seems like they have gone from one extreme to another. I wonder how many inter-racial couples there really are in life although cinema has never cared about correct representation so why bother asking the question. This is NOT a 'racist' comment unless you want it to be (trolls )
@@jortega61924 I didn't say that there was anything wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with love in any form or colour. What I meant was the way that movie and ad makers have gone full out on the 'inclusion' thing as if to say 'look we are not racist' I just think that there is no reason that 'inclusion' and 'diversity' should not represent reality. It seems to catalogue people by colour and forced the label of 'under-represented victim' onto people who just live without their race, colour, gender or religion being a problem. The Trans debate is another thing that I don't understand, they are forcing it onto us every day and in many forms. Tiktok is a trash can of 'people' declaring their pronouns to all and sundry. Real Trans people are about 1% of the population and are discrete and respectful yet it is seen as something that the whole world should recognise. I see that in the US they are even creating 'gender classes' in primary school and pushing the subject onto fragile and sensitive young people who are still figuring out life and do not need all this crap pushed down their throats. I wonder sometimes if they actually spend any time teaching useful subjects to kids that will actually help them in the 'real world'. I figured that someone would pull out the 'race card' but that wasn't the point of my comment, take it for what it is or leave it it's all the same to me.
She's right. Tired of the pandering. It's like showing black families with black fathers intact. Its not reality, its hollywoods reality. And I'm black so you can dispense with the usual commentary. (Did you notice I didn't say african-american). Lol.
@@lasirius1 Yes they are using categories of the population firstly against each other and then to make a political statement. They don't care at all of what it does to society. I get annoyed at all these rich white politiciens going on about race and equality when all their staff in their homes are probably black and Hispanic. They are pro gay rights and trans rights but I cannot see them allowing their own kids to marry them. They are against certain schools then their own kids go to private schools. Again this is not about race but about hypocrisy. I grew up totally ignoring racism but as Protestants we (they) didn't like catholics so for a reason I couldn't understand I couldn't ask questions about catholic religion. When I arrived in London in the early 70's I was mesmerised by black people, they were so chic and confident. I had a best friend at school, Paul, who was black and one day in class we had a discussion on race and the teacher asked if we had black friends. I said no, then Paul hit me on the head and said 'what about me'? I hadn't put that label on him, he was Paul and he was my friend and I couldn't see what was the point. I was also best friends with a jewish girl and on going to her house her father said that I was his daughters first non jewish friend, I was young and didn't understand again. I moved to France in the late 70's and learnt about anti muslim racism from them. I worked in fashion for a huge corporation and I had a successful departement so much so that they sent me the heads of HR from their other companies. They actually asked me what % of 'ethnic' people I hired! I replied that I hired 1OO% competent people irrespective of colour race or religion.
@@TheFiown Well isn't that a coincidence, my name is Paul ( I kid you not) And yes the hypocrisy is evident. I find that a lot of them do it to assuage their own guilt. They care not whether it's right or wrong, only how it feels.
Farrell's on this spiritual journey through his movies I see man... He's picking projects with 'some' level of interests which is good. Good for him!! But definitely an update bicentennial man which is cool! Hey it's the future in the next 30 years!!!
Commenters keep using the term "underrated" when they mean something closer to underutilized because Collin Farrell has been lauded for his great acting abilities since he first hit the scene over twenty years ago in "Tigerland."
"We do multicultural, multiracial films to reflect the reality of the world!" Really? Since when in every single place we go to, in every single relationship, in every single group of friends, there is a black person, a white one, an Asian one, a Latino and an Indian? This is getting to preposterous levels! It looks contrived!
Wow! A comment that doesn't talk about how great this trailer is because it doesn't give away the whole plot. Rather a comment that specifically makes fun of that tired old trope in the comment section.
