    As usual, gold knowledge from @surf_n_show. Just asked him for a content regarding getting rid of skate wiggling on the surfboard. I skate half pipes well, compressing extending but on waves the result is front leg wiggling 😐

    I'm like you have been on a mission since 2006 finding that magic board and I found a few the first was the Al Metric retro quad in 2009 then in 2012 I found the Eric Arakawa stubby then in 2016 I found the coil industries m13 high performance fish rode that the longest literally for 4 and 1/2 years until I came across the firewire cymatic during COVID which I fell in love with in Bushman flow model with keel twinfins last year ....... In my opinion the best board thus far ever that is a lot coming for me

    Some years back I built cad models of every asp surfer in the top 25's board dimensions and compared them to their body weights. Their board volume to weight ratios varied from 6.9 to 6.3. 6.6 being the mean or average value of all guys on tour. Dividing your body weight by this number- (6.6) gives you the average liters per a pro surfboard. enjoy!

    • @Gosurfbasis
      @Gosurfbasis  4 месяца назад +2

      Yeah noel talks about how it's around 6 as a starting point for advanced surfers. Obviously the pros can get by with even less, although I've noticed they've been ridin more volume recently

      @@Gosurfbasis right on- I made this comment under one of Noel’s posts a few years back, glad the info has disseminated for people to finally make informed board choices- everyone used to just eye them and say,” Yeah that should float me.”

    This was fun to watch. I personally feel like trying as many boards as possible has really helped me to figure different pieces of the puzzle… that said I am not really a high performance guy, so my boards are mostly fish and I’m looking for that trade off between feeling and performance within that context. I got the white tiger after demoing it and seeing Noels review - it’s super sick and so different from the fish.

    • @Gosurfbasis
      @Gosurfbasis  4 месяца назад +1

      Nice! Yeah the white tiger looks more like a small wave performance board but that's awesome you're loving it

      @@Gosurfbasis definitely but since I’m super used to wide, swallow tail keel fish it is super high performance for me. I mostly don’t get shortboard style waves at my local breaks so I picked it so that I could learn the thruster but still use it on softer days when I’m in the mood.
