Hürrem can't believe that Mahidevran was in coitus with Suleiman. She faces up with İbrahim Pasha and she threatens him. Meanwhile, Mahidevran becomes very happy that she was in coitus but Sultan Suleiman surprises Mahidevran with his attitude.
İbrahim Pasha can't take the risk living away from Hatice. He leaves two letters behind and palace and goes back to his homeland Parga.
Mahidevran comes out of the coitus and talks around that she had a beautiful night. Hürrem can't control her anger when Hürrem hears her and goes to see Suleiman at her first chance. Will she tell him that İbrahim and Hatice love each other?
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Mahi had full back (valide, pargali, hatice, gulfem, gulsah) up yet she couldnt make it to the king, while hurrem had no back up yet she made it to the king.
It was all because of Nigar Kalfa's Advices for her ...from the very 1st episode till the rest

Later episodes you see how well she plots, disregarding plans that could do her or her kids harm, including ignoring Suleiman's sisters advice as well as her 'advisors' like rustem sumbul and nigar
Not realy, Mahi was alone like any other concubine. There were no "friends" in the palace, there were rivals and allies & everyone play for their interests. The clue was to make a team of loyal and smart servants as "the retinue makes the King". Hurrem from the start had Nigar and Sumbul, the most smart in harem, and Mahi had only Gulsah, arrogant and dumb.

She has good intuition (and spies of course)) and she could manage her feelings to make right things when it had to be done. I think Suyliman invites Mahidevron for two reasons, to prove his feelings for Hurrem to himself and to prove to Mahidevron that it's hopeless for her to persist in chasing him.

She’s my least favorite actor, male or female, in this program. She looks vulgar compared to Mahivedran, Hatice, Valide, Guhlihal, and Nigar, who project more presence and elegance. She doesn’t have the dignity for the role of an intelligent woman who rose from slave to wife and advisor to the sultan. Granted that the part as written is just a series of temper tantrums and doesn’t do justice to the historical Hurrem according to her reputation. This actress lacks grace (she’s actually pudgy and her clothes highlight her rolls) and doesn’t project intelligence. I was hoping the part would get better as the character aged, but so far I find her the least interesting character.

Ibrahim was of no noble origin. In the Medieval Times the royal blood/ generation was very important. Mehmet Celebi was of noble origin from both parents. Ibrahim was a convert from Parga, a small, now Greek town, and I think he mentioned before that his mother was from Italy. The Royal rules are even now very strong and have very deep roots. See the British Royal Family. A early as the Roman times high blood was the most important characteristic. A prince is to marry a princess. If not, it is a "scandal". These days, more than 2000 years after the Romans, more and more princes marry common girls and the opposite, princesses marry common men but it is not the accepted norm yet.

The actor portraying Ibrahim was brilliant in this episode. I lost my own Mother and the reactions he portrayed when he returned home were heartbreaking. Now if he could have continued this personality in regards to human interaction when he returned would have been great 😂
So they took kids from hurrem on mere suspicions and calls her hatun even after she gave birth to two babies. They supported Mahidevran when she poisoned dishes on sultan's table.

This is pure drama. Hurrem has already broken the one concubine one son rule since she gave birth for the second time so she's the most valuable concubine in the harem now. In the show they mess up things for drama.
Mahidevran is the mother of the first male heir to the title. That protects her.

He was really unfair, but most times people tend to punish the ones they love, I guess they it’s easier and as I said the writer didn’t like Hurrem maybe because she was Russian. The actress did a fantastic job playing her role.

Besides, Mahidevran sent poison to Suleiman's table, beat Hurrem horribly, and stole a ring that Suleiman have given her and yet she received no punishment whatsoever and even continued to be Valide's favorite. I wish Ibrahim never came back. He would have found peace. The palace is a wretched place. The best thing about this series is that they have developed the characters in such a way that you get a chance to empathize with them and not just blame them. All the characters went through much trauma in their own life and were turned into enemies by fate.

i just realised its all a point of view. if mahidevran was the main character we would all be on her side and hate "evil manstealing hurrem" but now we hate mahidevran. hurrem is portayed as very immature and impolsive, but if that was really the case she wouldnt have survived a single day in the harrem
I don't agree, if Mahidevran was the MC I would still dislike her. She's a bully who lies to get her way and she's never takes accountability for her mess, she chooses to blame everyone else. Not once did she ever tell the truth.
