All this episode in regards to Hürrem's reaction to Mihrimah's birth is...nonsense. To begin with, that second pregnancy was, in and of itself, a great victory for Hürrem. Why? Because she had already given birth to a boy. According to tradition, which dictated "one son for every mother", Hürrem, after Mehmet's birth, would have become an unelligible sexual partner for the Sultan: she had already fulfilled her duty to give birth to a male potential heir for the dynasty. A second pregnancy was, thus, an extraordinary event. Then, a girl was a gift for the dynasty and were generally very well welcomed: the girl was not subjected to the dramatic fate reserved to her brothers, she wasn't embroiled in disputes for the throne and her existence wasn't threatened by anyone. Yes, she would be a political pawn for her mother, who would seek to marry her to strengthen her brother's (or brothers', in this case) position, but besides that, sultanas were cherished members of their dynasty. The acting of the actor who play suleiman is great, so precise, just.A great actor👏👏👏❤
She loved her daughter later on. Princess Mirimah fought for her.. Mirimah is very much like her. Very strong willed and a great beauty.. Based on history
Sultan later says that Mihirmah is Hurrem .He also tells her that there are 2 weaknesses for him one Hurrem and the other Mihirmah!
Also, Only bcoz of Mihirmah there is downfall of Mustafa and Shah Sultan.
Well. Portrays of the real Hurrem is that she's short and fat. She might had a pretty face.
@@honeststraightforward1485 she was a Ukrainian. I seriously doubt her being short and fat. She must have been an extraordinary beauty to have caught the Sultan’s eye. Perhaps that’s the way people were painted in those times.
@@honeststraightforward1485 lmaooo liiiies bot. It’s known that Hurrem was tall and very beautiful. Stay jeaaaaalouss uahahahahahahahahah
So Arabic names often have a lot to do with personality or looks and Mihrimah which means "Sun and Moon", (like Valide Sultana was saying) or "Moon of the Suns" in Persian, and in Arabic it is either “born of the moon” or “When the sun and the moon meets” (there’s various translation but all sort of mean the same thing)
I’m in LOVE with that name and can I just say… Hurrem with her red hair and temper is like the sun ☀️… and Suleiman with his calm and intelligent nature and dark hair / blue eyes is like the moon 🌙
“When the sun and moon meet” 🥰 I love her name so much!
Also according to her bday she was born on the spring equinox and the exact day when the sun moves from pisces to aries- making her a pisces/aries cusp which that water/fire again is giving very much moon & sun vibes… what a blessed little girl fr omg ! Such an auspicious name and birthday!
Valide's headache and neckache could be from wearing all those heave head-jewels and hairstyles all day log. Head massage makes miracles. I envy those who can receive almost daily. 👌❤😍🙌
İbrahim's expressions to the blood on the tissue and lips when Hodja is coughing. He is like "maybe i dnt i dnt have to do anything afterall" 😂😂😂
Only a pure evil will smile on a dying sick person. Disgusting gestures of Ibrahim but truly reflects his nature
Mihirmah, the baby girl, is later the strongest support for Hurrem.
Historically she is the richest woman ever recorded in the Ottoman Dynasty and was the favorite child of Suleiman the Magnificent too! She was much smarter and better than her brothers imo.
It says something about Hurem's temper that nobody wanted to be the one to tell her that she had given birth to a daughter instead of a son.
Quite relatable situation I guess
They didn't want to give her sad news since Hurrem expected a son.
Beautiful words by sultan suleiman , that there is no difference between a boy and a girl
He genuinly loved kids he is always so sweet to them
Well, there are differences, but not as far as their value as a person.
Mirhimar will later be such a great allie to Hurrem . Suleiman adores his daughter & takes great pride in her advice only Mirhimar really has her daddy's full love & attention shes daddy's girl through & through .
Such a pleasure to watch suleyman and his daughter's relationship. The way he adores her and listens to her.
I like the fact that the valide likes the girl.
Yes I like too. Valid attitude as a mother
Because she's happy that Hurrem ates her words that she will gave birth to a son, and off course , because she has a daughter
Hurrem is a terrible mother and a nasty person
I wish every mother knows how much a daughter love her mother , she would never neglect her daughter....
Are you from west bengal?
Narcissist mother's don't love their daughters. Hürrem is a narcissist
@@joyfulj1663 because Hurrem "loves" only what fits into her version of "ideal picture". So far, I have not seen her care for one single person. And that includes Maria/Gulnihal AND Suleiman. Being a VERY sensual girl, she fell for him, but it's a very shallow love. To me, the way all of it is portrayed, she needs him more than she loves him.
She doesn't care for anyone but herself. Even when she (rarely) shows concern for someone, it's just that - a show. It screams "fake" from a mile!
As much as I dislike Mahidevran, when she cares, she really does. It's genuine.
Nope! No daughter should love a toxic narcissist mother. That’s what Hurrem is becoming unfortunately
@@joyfulj1663 she loved mihrimah she was just disappointed for a while
The prayer before mihrimah's birth protected her and granted a long life for her compared with her brothers who died early
Thats why suleiman loved mihrimah so much, she reminds him of hurrem
He can say only the sweet words to Hurrem not to anyone else 😊😊
IRL, she did in fact have a boy every single time. the second time, it was twins. mehrima survived but the young prince died

When you love someone, you love them despite their faults.
In Islam you have to take care of your daughter more than your son, because when you protect your daughter Allah grant you more blessing from him, if your truly a muslims you have to follow the holy Quran
You are right I agree with you
I think that Hurrem didn't know that at the time
Nothing holy about it.
Inside the palace, boy is important than girl if you deliver a baby. And that makes hurrem affected with it thats why shes not happy when a girl was born . In the long run she have learned to accept it and love her daughter.
StayStrong ! Excuses !!!lol!!! Mahideveran ‘s middle name is excuse.Always someone protecting her,or her excusing herself or telling lies.
@StayStrong ! looks like you ignored the part where hurrem says"you are a art of me , i love you mirihmah, you have no else but mother for your support". She said she don't want her because she have seen what a ladies go through inside the palace. You cannot compare the world you live now to how the world was before back then. Hürrem wanted to born princes, to be more powerful than Mahidevran! I don't understand : she never thought that, even if she had 5 princes, one of them would take the throne and the others would be killed? She didn't care about her other sons?
She did care she wanted to change the law but she died before she could do it
Hurrem seems to be in a permanent post parturm depression
Wait till Suliman sees his Princess he will be so happy xxxx
"Mihrimah" such a lovely name.
Hurrem knows how hard and difficult it is to be a woman in that time... you rarely get to make your own choices and if Sulyman didn’t care for his daughter she probably would’ve been married off to and an old fat man
Exactly!
I love the only one character in this episode and that's is Nigar kalifa ❤️
Mahidevran is such a cruel woman. She wanted to have fun with the girls initially. Just because she saw Hurrem enjoying she couldn't enjoy anymore and let anyone enjoy. She had to stop the party. She is so full of herself. 😡😠🤬
Its just a drama. They made it dramatic more than realistic!

Daughter should be cherished
Really? That’s not my experience. I wish it were so
Not what I've read. Not baby daughters, only sons.
@@helene4397 Pretty sure what you read then was undeniably false as evident by sayings that go "rejoicing the birth of a daughter is greater than making seven times Tawaaf around Kaaba." Very true. According to the Quran, daughters are a blessing. They are to be cherished. The whole “boys are more important than girls” is a cultural thing. It is not true to Islam.
