Neiman, don't sell yourself short. The behind the scenes people make it all happen. You're an amazing camera man and talented effects guy. Glad to see you more up front. You're both great!!!!
This is too true! I used to work as a stage manager... it's a LOT of work to make things APPEAR to go smoothly on stage or on camera. lol Great job both of you! ♥
Quick tip: to keep my putty and wood filler from drying out I put a piece of seran wrap in the container directly on the product to seal out the air in the container. Works like a dream.
It's a lovely tip, it works in the kitchen too..i use this trick to do not let my guacamole get dark..it last days in the fridge with fresh green colour.
I imagine our children and grandchildren will be saying, "Why did they paint it?" Then they can have the fun of peeling the paint off and restoring it. Keep up the great work.
Ugghh! Please don't even say that. I just finished stripping a walnut dresser, with NINE coats of paint...and purple glitter on pink paint...GLITTER {obviously the from the 70's, it was between the 60's avocado green, and 80's gray}! The glue in the glitter mixed with the stripper and made it nearly impossible to strip. Why people destroy beautiful wood with paint is beyond me.
A glass shelf would be a nice addition to use the upper half and still let the lamp shine through. How tall is your customer's coffee maker/station? Does she want a shelf above?
Great job and color on the coffee cabinet; anyone would be proud to have it in their home. Like most people, though, I have a suggestion. Traditionally, when a cabinet door remains on the piece, it is painted on both sides with the interior box left natural or painted. For the very reason you touched up the paint on the top of the drawers, you also paint the interior of the doors. It's that finishing touch.
Just a small comment or advice. In this situation when you drill with a key hole saw drill from the top to just break through with the guide bit then finish off from the other side. That way you will not get that blow out on the finished part. Nice job.
I agree it is easiest to find the middle from the top. You can just use the drill bit part from top down, then use that hole to guide the hole saw from the bottom up. It is great to see you try new things on camera and to let us see that things aren't always perfect!
not going to lie, I loved the "before" and I'm sad to see it go, but I am always glad to see something that wasn't being used become useable again! And the after looks amazing!
I want to thank you for your awesome videos, you gave me the courage to try it myself… Im disabled and unable to work, but, finishing the furniture at my pace allows me to feel as though, I’m contributing to my family again.. thank you for what you do.
My Nana gave me a small maple hutch. I love it. It's solid maple from the 1940's and made in the USA. I treasure it. My maple hutch is very similar in size and drawer placement.
When you have a smaller piece like on the shiplap, it can be easier to place that on the bottom. That way you have a full piece on the top & the smaller-width piece will most likely be hidden by whatever's on the bar. Flows better visually & may save a bit of work. Love the color. Great job, as always!
I’m pretty sure this is my new favorite color!! Omgosh this is just gorgeous!! Great job Girl❤️ So happy for Neiman to have his new awesome desk also❤️❤️
Hello guys ! I have been doing crafts most of my life but more recently I have been repainting furniture. I just finished my dining room set. I did it in a pretty tan color and went over it with antique wax, came out very rustic looking which was just what I wanted. Now I am doing a 1940s China cabinet. It was stained a darker walnut, I primed it with white primer and now I am painting it a beautiful shade of blue. I just wanted to let you know that I took the backer board off the China cabinet very carefully painted it off-white, and with a level, drew horizontal lines across it (5" wide) with pencil which I then wet my finger and dragged along the pencil line as I saw on RUclips. It came out amazing! I love watching you, Lauren and Newman. Keep up the Great Work! Sue
Good to see the Neiman and some of his input to keep things hopping. There is a good give and take in this partnership and good seeing an attractive pair together. I like this project. Nice work and ideas
Loren, that is beautiful! One of my favorites yet. I just started flipping and by watching you I have started with the melange paints! Which I am loving. This color is beautiful!
Hi guys, that is an amazing “flip”, you see these pieces on marketplace often. The desk is a wonderful gift …..very nice. You are both doing an amazing job 👏👏👏🇦🇺
What a gorgeous happy colour! The best thing paint companies have ever done is promoting lower sheen, the colours come out much better. I think this is the best teal I've seen.
Love the coffee bar... especially the color! IMO, a shelf at the top would have been a welcome addition, though. I was happy to hear you plan on drilling a hole for the coffee maker cord. Keep up the good work! Your videos are always fun to watch.
Your coffee bar turn out so nice! I really like this shade of green. Shiplap is one of my favorites. The quality is certainly in this piece of furniture! Thrilled for Neiman getting this nice desk with the "extras". Thanks for sharing. God bless
Oh my! I’m so in love with everything about this flip!!! I have a large armoire I want to make into a coffee bar. I’m following your lead ! Thanks, so much, for what you guys do!
Hello, I think you are doing a grate job re- purposing furniture and have a good eye for color and creativity. I thank people like you for sharing your work an skills for others to see. I am a contractor who has been painting and remodeling for over twenty years and just wanted to give you a couple hints or suggestions to maybe help you cut some time and maybe even make a little more money. I watched how you apply the plastic wood and if you skim coat over the holes in a clean manner and just fill the hole instead of putting a bit more over and around the holes. No matter how you sand anything around the holes will be sanded away. Obviously you have to fill the holes at least twice if not three times in order for them to disappear but also I noticed you use the Bondo which I feel is a faster way for the filler to dry and a harder finish. Also make sure you always prime over the wood filler or bondo. ( so it don’t flash) Have you ever used Binz by Zinnzer co? It is a shellac based primer and once it’s on it’s on there and blocks everything! ( once it’s dry you can’t scratch it off )use it to prime kitchen cabinets and then two coats of finish over that. Ok one more thing you might want to upgrade one day to a HVLP sprayer it will help you cover more over the piece your spraying and revive a better quality finish. I have been painting for a long time and if you need any advice about that subject please let me know. I can’t believe how hard you and your boyfriend or husband work to do these projects. I love seeing people doing the good preparation and quality labor Like you guys do!! Thanks for your videos! Joe,
The other thing that makes me smile with your videos is when you “sign off” and say…..’see you in the flip side’. My husband always says that as I head out to work or run an errand…basically meaning I’ll see you when you get back at the end of the work day.
I havent even finished watching the video yet. I just had to say THANK YOU. I have been dying to see how to install a light in one of these. This is the exact flip I want to do for myself. Thank you thank you thank you. Ok back to the rest of the video.
I am so impressed with your work. I tried sanding a dresser for a refinishing project that is still sitting in my garage :( So I appreciate all the hard work for I know how much time an entire project like this takes. (Even though now, I can fully say, you're a pro!!) Mad love sent to you both! Good job guys!
Neiman I was thinking just that...not sure if you did anything with them yet but that new house you all have could use some nice steampunk looking elements and those just speak steampunk to me and I am sure you guys love that look somewhere...if not I am sure some customer will somewhere on something. But that was once a really nice antique pice I am thinking and though you made it awesome and gave it a new life new purpose you have no idea the value that piece on its own in the age I am thinking it was could have fetched. See I don't know how but I've always had this superpower of sorts that I just somehow know things that have value based on age that has come from eras far earlier than my birth. I have champagne taste and beer pocket I always say. This was fantastic and something I myself want one day in my own home being a big-time coffee drinker. Loved this! The shiplap was an awesome touch and your way of staging it made it look super stylish!
Lauren! This is one of my favorite pieces that you've done! GREAT job-I love the color. You are an inspiration to me as I am getting started in furniture flipping. Thank you both, you and Neiman do a great job on the videos!!!
On your hole saw…start on one side…about 1/2 way through, switch to opposite side and finish hole. You will NOT have any more “tear out”. Nice to see hubby in video too!
Once I did something similar but added glass shelves so the light shines through them Tgat way you get light and shelving. Could also use plexiglass. This coffee bar turned out so cute. I love Melange paint. Thanks for recommending it.
I loved your video. I’m getting ideas to paint my hutch, I think white. Never did this before but you make it look so easy. I have to try, wish me luck😉
Your Coffee Bar came out BEAUTIFUL ! I love the color. I’m so glad you said you’re going to make a hole for the coffeemaker’s cord because now it’s complete ! 😉
Neiman, you should also get sponsored for a cushion mat for long standing at the stand-up desk, an ergonomic chair, and comfortable soft memory foam cushion shoes. It's important to be good to your standing posture as you work. You're still young, so start early. Good job doing what you do!
This piece turned out absolutely beautiful you didn't awesome job congratulations on your new desk Nieman I know you'll get lots of use out of it and helped make your job a little easier and I can't wait to see what you're going to do with the doors of this thank you both for sharing love you DIYs have a great evening and God bless you both
For the larger holes where the doors were you can use a dowel to fill the hole (not flush to the surface) then add the wood filler. The filler does not sink as much.
Lauren, you are just improving your flips. I love watching your videos and your projects are wonderful. Neiman you do an awesome as well, you two are an awesome team.

WOW !! I really love this coffee bar. The color is great and it seems that spraying it made the flip go faster. Love that shiplap on the back. It gives it a country feel. Lauren, you do such a terrific job refinishing furniture and Neiman does a great job filming and editing. Thanks to both of you for a terrific video !!!
Great Job. Knobs matched so good with the door henge. Color I'm not that crazy about. I did enjoy your video. I never knew that paint should be strained. Thank you! ☕
Beautiful, love the color, I have a cabinet or hutch very similar to the one you transformed here and the idea of converting it into a Coffee Bar has been in my head for quite a while 😊
Hi Lauren and Neiman! I’m new to your channel and I love it! I pretty much have been binge watching you! I just said to myself today that the edit and camera angles are awesome. Glad you got the desk to make your job tat much more efficient. Great team, love the music choices too. Oh I forgot to add, I live the idea of mixing paint with the sealer

This is beautiful! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that almost slate green color and the white shiplap was a very nice added touch! It looks both modern and rustic at the same time! I wish I had your skills. I would love to have something like this. I see these hutches on FB Marketplace literally all the time!

So I was glad to hear that they were going to be saved for a future project
I love the color! I personally would like the coffee cups on a shelf instead of hooks on the side. Other than that I love what you did. Great job.
Neiman, love the desk and the fact you can work comfortably while filming and editing. You and Lauren make a great team.
Neiman, you beat me to the doors lol. Those doors are gorgeous. Can't wait to see what you do with them.
First time I've seen you cover the hinges instead of removing the doors. Remember we are beginners. I always appreciate when you explain things.

This is beautiful! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that almost slate green color and the white shiplap was a very nice added touch! It looks both modern and rustic at the same time! I wish I had your skills. I would love to have something like this. I see these hutches on FB Marketplace literally all the time!
It definitely needs a shelf!
Great job, great colour. I personally would have liked a shelf, that big blank space isn't to my liking.
