Wow, this piece is gorgeous. Whoever buys this this piece gets an additional bonus because this is your first stamped and signed piece. Added value. Great job. Take care, stay safe.
I highly recommend getting yourself a Dremel or Foredom tool (or similar) for sanding detailed areas like this. There are literally hundreds of attachments available for getting into all those curves and nooks, look at jeweler's attachments as well as woodworking. They'll do a better job than hand sanding could ever do, and save you hours of time!
Anytime you say nice things about the quality of Thomasville Furniture, it makes my day. My dad, who’s 91, worked there 34 years many years ago. The factory where he worked wasn’t called Thomasville all those yeas. But always high quality furniture. You’re great at what you do. Thanks for sharing
Hi There! Sorry to bother you but I am trying to refinish nightstands in this style and it won’t strip. Do you know what kind of sealant was used back in the 60s?
I have a whole bedroom set of French provincial thomasville furniture that we inherited when we got married 20 years ago. We’ve considered getting rid of it to buy something more modern for years, but nothing in our price range will match the quality. After seeing what you’ve done here, I think I may put in some elbow grease and copy what you’ve done. Absolutely beautiful
$58 for Thomasville,! Where the flip do you live?! ‼🙊👀End result is EXQUISITE! In the NE this could fetch $2K and be considered a bargain. $650 is laughable, but that's geography for you. 🤷🏻♀️ Beautiful! So refreshing not to see another paint over wood change. It's fresh, beautiful and a breath of fresh air! Perfect for Provance look. Aaaah! 🥰😍‼
Lauren, another awesome job. French Provincial is not one of my favorites but you make these dressers look so good, I have changed my mind. Neiman, of all the people I watch on RUclips, you are the best "camera Man" there is.
I prefer not to use chemicals in any way. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had chemo and then radiation. My hair has grown back and I don't use any chemicals on it. I have been trying to phase all chemicals out of my life.
Me too, diagnosed in June last year, finished surgery, chemo and radiation before Christmas. Seeing my oncologist tomorrow, having trouble with Letrozole side effects and need to try something else.
I love Thomasville furniture and I was cringing and holding my breath but it turned out gorgeous!!! Love it. I think it is even prettier and up to date for our current trends. Beautiful!!!
Top favorite thus far. Restoring the wood was brilliant. that very lucky buyer! I think you deserved a lot more reward for your work, but it will come with more beauties like this one. Such a stunning restoration . Congratulations ...another milestone for you .
No pain....no gain.....love the natural grain of the wood showing....you did a remarkable job, Lauren!!!.... beautiful piece for sure!!!....there is something cathartic about sanding/scraping.....very satisfying when all said and done....the music choice was sooo much better than what most young you tubers choose(thanks Neiman)!!!....
Wish I had watched this video before I started stripping a antique solid wood high credenza with desk that I purchased for $30. That Scraper would have been easier than sanding forever! Also would have preferred to do the paint wash instead of the chalk paint. Love what you did. Also misting with the paint wash works well with the chalk paint. Your videos have helped me soo much! Thanks!😊
I have been doing more and more pieces in this same type of finish and they sell like crazy. Yours is absolutely gorgeous. I am not usually a fan of French provincial but I would buy this piece in a heartbeat. Great job!
I was so excited to see this flip! I just purchased a set of side tables in the same style and I wanted to redo them in the same way. Now I know what they will look like!!!!
Lauren, you did a magnificent job! It is stunning! Just enough added color for interest, and it is classy! You really enhanced the beauty of that dresser! I love it!
This piece is absolute perfection! You did a fantastic job with great attention to detail. It is worth a lot more than $650. It’s fabulous!! Thanks Lauren 🪑🪑💅🥰
Gorgeous!!! They make some great scraper tools that are more detailed that can get into those tiny detailed areas if you find yourself using a scraper more often
Hands down favorite flip I've watched on your channel. Definitely somewhere on my top 5 favorite video watched on anyone's channel!! You picked the perfect finish for that dresser to make it as gorgeous as it could possibly be. Amazing job on the flip, the details, the commentating, the paint wash, hardware, video editing...everything! I love watching you two thriving as a couple and growing your business together! You're both killin it!
I used to be a Thomasville design consultant years ago. I own a Palais Jardin headboard in a whitewash finish and have some other antiques I need to refinish to match. THIS tutorial is going to help me get the look I want! Thank you. ❤️
I started watching you in the beginning and always appreciated your drive. You have come a long way and your technique is improved tremendously. Well done girlfriend!
OMG, thank you so much. I don't have this exact dresser but something very similar that I am about to strip down and paint. My dresser has been handed down and is over 80 years old with quite a few layers of paint and stain. I would like to paint it an off-white. What can I do that without having to remove what looks like about six layers? I have the matching nightstands, and I don't think I have the energy for all that scraping. Any advice will be well-received.
I have a French provincial bedroom set that was my grandparents, and wanted to refinish it but had no ideas what to do or how to do it! Thanks so much, I now have the inspiration needed! Btw, the set is pecan wood with beautiful graining.
I recently have found y'all's channel, I truly love how you explain each and every step. Giving reasons for your decisions, and such. You are a great teacher, and this piece turned out so gorgeous. Thanks for sharing with us.😊
Beautiful refresh that compliments the graceful lines of this piece! Many thanks for sharing the details. Love your use of paint wash to cancel out yellow or orange tones. I may have missed it, but would love a lingering side by side pan of two drawer fronts - one raw wood, one completed with paint wash. For me that would be v instructive. Love your work!
This piece is beautiful!! I love how you so carefully tell us all the details!! I have refinished lots of furniture pieces for myself or family and love the technique of the white wash. I so wish when I was refinishing I had known or thought of that! Great job and I’m with Neiman I would have held out for a thousand and no less than than $800.00 but obviously you know what you are doing
This is gorgeous! Has the look of raw natural wood. I have a French Provincial set and I was looking it over to decide which parts of it to paint and which to stain, and was torn because the grain is beautiful all over.
You have inspired me so much! I just started my first flip & decided to take it back to bare wood with a paint wash!!!! I've been feeling defeated so I'm thankful for this tutorial. I'm gonna order the contour thingy & the scrapper! Thank you!
Love watching your furniture transformations. I'm inspired to try restoring my grandparents' furniture stored in the barn. My grandfather was coincidentally a furniture maker from your neighboring Sioux City.. Thanks for all the great ideas and tutorials!
Absolutely north of $1,000. Frickin beautiful. It was just timing that you didn't get that price... but it was definitely worth it. Best flip to date! Love natural wood grain showing thru.
Very nice job. The original surface looked like a fake finish to me...at least on my screen. Now the grain looks real. The person that got it, got a deal.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE..ur channel. You are so patient explaining every detail. How long it took you to sand. The price & why. I'm learning so much from you. I'm just starting myself. You are giving me the courage that I, too, can do this. 😁🥰 thanks
Thank you for your deft demo and instructions. I learn so much. I just did a wash on a solid wood orangy side table and it looks great from afar but I only have a dremel sander. I forgot to wet surface so that's probably why it's a bit splotchy. Thanks
It is Gorgeous! You need to get a set of different shaped scraper blades will attach to your scraper handle. They would have come in handy for all those little grooves on the dresser. You’ll Love them‼️
Thank you for such a thorough video of making over a piece using a whitewash. I need some pads for my Surfprep, so delighted to be able to get a discount and help you out!
That French prov. Furniture is so ornate and gawdy that plain raw look is perfect for it. It stands on its OWN. Great work.
In my opinion this is the best piece you’ve ever done…and that’s a high bar. Gorgeous!
Hands down best video for a natural wood finish. Very thorough and good closeups Neiman! You actually show the whole process with great explanations.
@Danny miller sure

Have you tried using a drummel to do the detail sanding? That may help save your hands. Love how this turned out.
I agree- a dremel can really help out!
