It's absolutely criminal how Shu doesn't get mentioned in "greatest guitarists" list (looking at you too, Rolling Stones magazine). Can think of at least 20 guitarists from Japan that should be on these lists, yet don't see any.
That's 'cause it's mostly a popularity contest between the editors faves, not actually the *best* It's like they think no one outside the U.S. or UK plays guitar. Most of the best guitarists I've ever heard are Japanese....and Michael Romeo gets no mentions either. Sheesh.
Are we talking about Galneryus? Cause im a longtime fan of this band and im 100% sure there is no Shu in the band, there is Sho on vocals, and of course Syu on guitar but there is no Shu.

You know why Syu rocks though, his shred is so driven by melody and is so easy to listen to. Even when he's busting out 10000 notes an hour there is a melody that is being outlined like all the time. Love the man, love this band. The best power metal band IMO.

The drummer Lea is a new member who joined previous year after the departure of Fumiya of ankimo. Lea has his own yt channel where he has some galneryus drum covers. Lea has fit quite nicely with the band his playing is pretty clean,the harmonizing guitar and keyboard solo is kind of a speciality of galneryus they have done it tons of times in their previous songs. you guys have reacted to sho-era galneryus and they've all been amazing reaction,I really want you guys to react to some.songs from yama-b era too,my recommendation would be new legend. Galneryus is SO GOOD! This song reminds me of "Rhapsody-meets-Dream Theater"! KILLER stuff! The whole band is amazing. SYU always kills it on the guitar, and Masatoshi-san is a fantastic singer! Yuhki tears it up on the keyboard solo parts! Taka is laying down some nasty bass lines! The new drummer Lea is phenominal! \m/

More reactions to Galneryus, sure take it. Still waiting for a Sentinent - Inertia song reaction. Regarding the smiling, thats the best part of Syu, hes always smiling when playing solos, he looks like a child playing with his favorite toy. Thats why Galneryus songs have usually 2-3 solos and quite long as well, many times with duo parts with the keyboard. Also this is the first PV with the new Drummer Lea who joined the band in 2020.

It's similar. This song has a lot of inspiration from other Galneryus and Syu songs. I'd say that Ultimate Sacrifice vibes are particularly noticeable right away.

Never thought I'd say that it's a good thing fumiya left, but if this song is anything to go by Lea is a better fit and amazing drummer as well. This might be their best song yet. It's crazy when you compare this to their old stuff which is still great, but every album they seem to make it just a bit better again. The only thing that worries me is that sho is apparently a smoker. It's crazy that at his age he can still do this, but sooner or later the smoking is gonna break his voice and you'll be hard pressed to find a vocalist like him.
Sad part about this song is that it ends. Also I feel like the "Hold by beer" meme would fit here in the sense of how many solo you can fit in one song.

Never thought I'd say that it's a good thing fumiya left, but if this song is anything to go by Lea is a better fit and amazing drummer as well. This might be their best song yet. It's crazy when you compare this to their old stuff which is still great, but every album they seem to make it just a bit better again.
The only thing that worries me is that sho is apparently a smoker. It's crazy that at his age he can still do this, but sooner or later the smoking is gonna break his voice and you'll be hard pressed to find a vocalist like him.
I think i saw somewhere that he stoped smoking. But yeah he is 55 years old. And this kind of voice? It's freaking Crazy

I have unironically listened to this song every day when I get up since it was released it’s soo good and a great way to wake up lmao I’m soo hyped for the ep if this song and flames of rage are any indicator this is gonna be really great (also next you guys could react to flames of rage (yet another one of there new songs atm I believe you can only watch it on the beyond the flames of purgatory video on the official galeneryus channel but it’s well worth it also I believe galneryus is one of those bands that sounds better live ngl))
