I found this song today after listening to a bunch of GALNERYUS's song, and SYU's album showed up on youtube music's recommendation. REASON was the second song of the album, and when it played I was fucking flabbergasted. I was lost of words. Both the guitar solo and vocal were out of this world. I'm nowhere near an expert in vocals, but Fuki's singing here was completely insane. The vibrato she did was not something I expect a human being can do. SYU's solo was incredible. I hope I know how to play the guitar so I could appreciate his godly skill even more. This is an amazing song, thanks for reacting to it!

I fell you bro. I've been listening to jp metal scene since 2012 because some visual kei bands opened my eyes and nowadays there only 2 bands i still listen that isn't a japanese band (A7X and Nightwish). It's weird because even things that aren't metal i listen without burden, even when i hate 99% pop songs. Like if i can feel the passion when they make music instead of just some industrial empty music.
Been listening to J-rock since the 90s, intensively in the 2000s, while at the same time got introduced to Japanese metal. One of the earliest I listened to is Animetal, an anime songs cover band (try their original song Juppon Gatana). Yes, I mostly listen to Japanese metal (& rock) bands these days, once in a while i get back to western metal bands from the 80-2000s.
The reason is that Japan is not interested in money from overseas. Japan has the second largest music market in the world and makes a lot of money just by selling domestically, which is why they don't actively promote their music overseas. Their music videos don't even have English subtitles. The size of the Japanese market is larger than some European countries combined. That means they make more money selling domestically than any other Western band, excluding America. Japan doesn't actively promote music, but anime songs are well known in the world, because songs used in anime don't need to be promoted.

Why on earth would you recommend the MV? It is in bad quality (480p) and 2 minutes of the song are cut out! There's quite a few great live performances of Destiny and Galneryus is always better live!
@@Sigurd_55 I do agree their lives are better, but in this case there are many live performances for this song and I can't think of any specific live which sounds much better than the others (unlike one of the lives for angel of salvation which is outstanding compared to others).The audio quality is fine in the MV I believe 🙂

Since you wondered about "the rest of the members" I looked up who plays what on this particular song recording: Syu is playing guitar, bass, keyboards and doing backing vocals; Fuki is doing lead vocals (duh). Couldn't find any information on the drums, but if I had to guess it's either Syu (yes, he can play drums too, as well as violin lol) or Fumiya (who you surely know as a drummer of Unlucky Morpheus, but he also was in Galneryus at the time of that recording).
It's nice to hear Syu sing a bit. You also kinda get it why he's not singing often - guitar already takes a lot of resources. Syu probably has a lot more RAM to give to guitar when he knows he's only playing not multitasking between playing and singing. There are lots of ppl who can, but their own personal preferences aside, I can see why many musicians stick to backup vocals.
My fav guitarists for both skill and songwriting have to be SYU, HIZAKI and Teru (Versailles/Jupiter), Saki and Hazuki (Nemophila), and Shiren. Interestingly, Hizaki just did a live show with Jill from UM for his new solo album, and If you haven't seen Saki's 10th anniversary solo piece, "Brightness" you'll definitely love that one.
I love how much you guys are loving Syu's soloing. Y'all gotta listen to some more Galneryus though! I've seen some pretty good suggestions from people in the comments, but one of my personal favorites is Across The Rainbow. There's no mv, but there's a really good live version on youtube

Two points I honored to mention. (1). The location in the PV is the same place when Babymetal shut the "Izime Dame Zettai", a.k.a IDZ. You can find Fuki wore the red and black chuchu skirt like babymetal, which this PV have a lot of hommage to IDZ's PV which created the grate pass for Japanese female metal band to the world. (2). I think you two came to the point to react the final boss of Japanese female metal singer, Mari Hamada, who is the legend of the legends in Japanese rock music.
I'm a big fans of Fuki. she is amazing, her voice....... (I don't know how to describe it. more than awesome, more than amazing). I was listening her full concert on RUclips, almost 2 hours and her voice still amazing.

Great song, Fuki is amazing singer, but I don't like Unlucky Morpheus. I miss Light Bringer so much...

That was melodic power metal where Fuki was vocalist. Song "Resistance" is great, one of my favourite by Light Bringer. :)
The only bad thing about this song.. the digital drums....having hundreds of amazing drummers on Japan.....really a lousy choice
