I’m yet to find a better guitar player than Syu. Man, he is insane. I know there are many talented and virtuous guitarist, but the way he nail riffs, solos, harmonies, technicality, so cleanly played, just blows my mind.
And don't forget his abbility to write this glorious (galneryus) music! :)
syu is one of the most underrated guitarists.

the singer Masatoshi Ono, is 56yo, and he can still slay these note the whole concert..
Look at What he singed in his old solo song (you're the only) with someone else (The video is only 2 weeks old). And specially What he did in the Second chorus. He is amazing
and he smokes but somehow so good in singing

I was at this concert and they sound awesome LIVE!! Syu is a beast and the drummer (ex-drummer for Galneryus) is also the drummer for Unlucky Morpheus is one of the best drummers in Japan! I happened to catch one of the picks (green Dunlop .88mm one) Syu used and threw at the crowd. It was an awesome experience for me!! I went to two more Galneryus concerts after (including this upcoming Sunday)!

you have to check out their song "Angel of Salvation" live...musicianship at its best (do not watch the official MV cause it's a cut version of the song)

Galneryus has the most unique unisons Guitar-Keys in the world, with Dream Theater, they are more than just a Power Metal band, the compositions are insane, even considering they have 2 concept albums that are connected between them and tells an amazing story, Syu (guitarist) is the composer of these masterpieces and like 90% of their discography.
About the unisons and harmonies you can listen on almost their whole discography.

Galneryus is a beast! Not from this world 😂 their timing n tempo is insane! All of them are really superb, and i stop to be a die hard fan of other metal band especially band from west. 😂

You're welcome for providing a good link 😉. It was said before, but the drummer is FUMIYA. The same (male) drummer from Unlucky Morpheus! I think it was funny that when you guys reacted to Unlucky Morpheus you mistook him for a woman, then in this Galneryus video with FUMIYA, you mistook their bassist, Taka, for a woman. All members of Galneryus are male. Keep on rocking guys and stay metal 🤘😁🤘

Galneryus has done heaps of amazing songs also for the first half of the band they had a different vocalist YAMA-B and their style evolves and changes throughout the years. So some good songs I would recommend are the force of courage, raise my sword, angel of salvation, brutal spiral of emotions, whatever it takes (raise our hands), T.F.F.B, destiny, hunting for your dream, ultimate sacrifice, everlasting, whisper in the red sky, struggle for the freedom flag, united flag, the flag of reincarnation, and chasing the wind.
These songs are not enough bro 😂. They have too many great songs
Nice reaction to one of my favourite all-male Japanese bands... yes, I recall your comment in the Aldious reaction 😆. For me, they're in the big four of Japanese power metal bands with Lovebites, Unlucky Morpheus and Light Bringer (or five if you count Aldious as power metal), but I'm sure there are other great ones I've yet to discover.

The keyboardist and guitarist should be tight. They are the two original members of Galneryus so they have been playing together since the formation of band🤘😊🤘
Yuhki is not an original member, but almost. He joined the band in 2002. There were 2 others before him with very short travel.

Mashatoshi "sho" has about 57years old maybe in that concert, and his voice just amazing, absolutly amazing. His high notes are always perfect.
Syu is pronounced "shoe"!!
They are all great musicians, but the only one who has been in the band since the beginning is Syu, one of the great guitarists of our time. The rest has changed several times, especially drums (4 different), bass (5) and keyboard (3). Vocalists have had 2, although the current one, Masatoshi Ono, is the one that takes the longest. The drummer in this video was Fumiya, who you already know from Unlucky Morpheus.
Also the keyboardist (YUHKI) hasn't changed

Epica used this guitar + keyboard solo in Kingdom of Heaven pt 3 but it is quite rare
Nice reaction, great song, although a bit of an odd choice for a first time to Galneryus. Most people start with their epic "Angel Of Salvation" which incorporates bits of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D into it (including the main solo, which is note-to-note to the solo violin) Check out both the MV and live as SYU alters the solos a bit, plus the MV is only half the song. Also recommend "Whatever it Takes (Raise Our Hands)" and "Ultimate Sacrifice"
Try their darker sounding song, "The Followers". Epic, with guitar, bass & keyboard taking turn in the solo section. And the vocalist operatic voice too. 😁
taka is an underrated bassist, iirc he is in his early-mid 30s and only started playing bass when he was 16-17yo because he had extra free time while studying in usa, he had only played bass for like 5-6 years when he joined the band in 2009. there are videos of taka going up towards a mic as if he is going to talk to the crowd but just as he reaches the mic to start talking, he turns away and waves at the crowd instead, he is too shy to talk to the crowd like that but stream on youtube/twitter and talk with chat there or talk to a camera for a youtube video isnt a problem for him
I noticed the keyboard player has a foot pedal for some notes in that solo that just presses on the chromatic parts 13:12

I would agree that Vetelgyus is a great song (no vocals), as well as Angel of Salvation, which I enjoy the live version but it has a very long waving (literally) back and forth finish, at which point I stop the video. But up to that point it's awesome!
