That part at the 2:30 mark is one of the most underrated snare parts in DCI over the last many years. Not hard, but smoooooooth! They should have had the snares closer to audience to feature that part. If it weren't for the lot recordings no one would have really known about it. I love this line!
+Victor Kindermann +Vinny P +Ryan Abboud You know sometimes, even at the top level of the activity, you have days where everyone is just kinda having a bad day. I actually remember this rehearsal, I think it was in Louisiana...? It was really hot, and I think we had the free day in San Antonio the day before and it's always hard to get back into rehearsing after a free day. So we just weren't playing as well as we usually did. However, even when days were like that, we were still able to get better and stronger by pushing through it. Thanks for uploading this! It's fun for me to go back and watch some of these videos
Ben Kessler I think you have to call and have them specially ordered. My old high school had the vents because my director called Yamaha and asked them to install the vents. Also, that was during 2015. Idk if they’re currently still doing the vents.

+Kyle Tsuchiya Yup that's about right.
These players are all really great
What's with the holes that open up on the snares during the snare feature? I've looked everywhere to what what those are called
They are vents controlled by the switch on the left side
@j77 ok where can you get one? I've been looking for so long and nothing is coming up...
j77 right? They’ve seemed to just not exist (probably because they were either disposed of or people know they’re rare now and are keeping them)
@j77 already did haha, the guy said there's nothing they can do any more because thy went out a few years back.
