i think my cousins must have gone to this concert! i was born the year the strokes formed (1998) so I was around 4 years old, they always went to shows around town and there's a photo of my cousin getting caught in a moshpit with albert hammond jr at a small show (forgot the name of the band). so I always heard of their music growing up-mainly first two albums-but i didn't properly get into their music until high school. i picked up the guitar because of this band so I owe them a lot honestly

I'm from the uk and dont have it either sadly:( I love this song though! It's because they took NYC cops off the US album after 9/11 so people didnt get the wrong impression (the song was written and recorded before that) so they replaced it with this song but they kept NYC cops on the UK version
