If you were alert on the opening of this Castle Short; you would have recognized the Race announcer as Milburn Stone who played "DOC" on TV's "Gunsmoke" starring James Arness. Another good A&C short taken from Universal Feature "Buck Privates Come Home"....
This is where real racing started with the cool dare devil no row bars Racing it must have been awesome to witness such Racing back then LOve this Stuff!!!!!
In "Buck Privates Come Home". Lou wanted to do a brief parody of "Romeo & Juliet" (as he originally wanted to do in "Who Done It?"), but the sequence, as filmed, was eliminated before the film's release. The only trace of it is the sign at 7:25.
This digest version is terrible!!! Castle Films just f***ed up this bad. Why not watch the entire A&C film "Buck Privates Comes Home" and don't waste your time watching this and the silent versions.

Originally released in 1950. One of the most popular in Castle's catalogs until the end of their "home movies" in 1977.
My uncles first racing car is in this movie..
