Hello from France, I love to see you quilting, I would like to tell you what I do when I am learning new quilting motifs, I trace the motif on paper with a pen, I repeat it until the practice becomes very easy, it avoids to wast fabric, it is very easy and it works perfectly. Chantal

Thank you! Great training video. I know I need to practice and enjoy it, have fun with it. Great tips on the steps for quilting a bigger quilt. I think problems happen when you do just one area from start to finish rather than the way you do it, working the whole quilt in steps, stabilizing it first.

How do you “classify” quilting on a “long arm” machine (Q20) sitting down and moving just like on a domestic machine (i.e. no frame) This has made a huge difference for me as quilting a king sized quilt on my Juki TL18 was like wrestling a bear (I have a muscle disease that makes it difficult to lift/pull even the quilt). If I ever enter anything into a show, do I classify it as “long arm” quilted (because the arm of my machine is 20”)?

if you are moving the quilt - you are on a stationary machine and it would be considered "domestic" but usually, that term is not used in the rules - it's usually listed as "stationary" or "moveable" - not, domestic and longarm
