People of Jamaica needs to utilize the confidential line that you can report Crime. Fully aware some don't trust the Police, but at least if the do report Crime they can in confidence without being identified. This will assist the Police greatly in Crime fighting 👍

There is something that confuses me about the Covid Report TVJ does every day. They report the overall case count to be 128,246, total deaths as 2,835, total active cases as 346 and total recoveries as 78,996. So, what happened to the other 46,069 cases? (128,246 - 2,835 - 346 -78,996 = 46,069)

CRIMES, shootings and murders have been spiraling out of control for far too long now in Jamaica. The police are stretched thin trying to do their best to maintain some level of order as these gangs and criminals are shooting and killing daily, spreading fear and chaos in our society. In recent times, it's obvious that the police are on the move and really trying their best to control crime. But it is also obvious that criminals and gangs don't care and are still wielding and shooting whenever they desire as well as challenging the police as they have these high powered weapons. Plus it's also obvious that they are still shipping in more guns and ammunition to enhance their gangs and criminal empires. What Jamaica needs is the 60s and 70s laws against importation of guns, shootings, gangs and extortions to be upgraded immediately to meet these 21 century criminals. Only a caring government can legislatively push these changes through parliament and make them into law as easy as covid laws were passed. Dr. Horace Chang made another promised suggestion the other day about gun laws but has since gone back to his hibernation. Laws is what will change the culture of violence and illegal guns which is being imported daily. Some youths will change when they see the high sentences given to their cronies and for those who choose not to change the police is there to take care of them. Our political leaders has to take the lead to fix crime with these upgraded laws and the citizens will gradually fall into line. Our government has to take measures to secure the borders, wharf and ports so this big business of importing illegal weapons can be stopped. People aren't against youths who hustle to make money. But we are against the illiterate ones who buying guns, building gangs and creating mayhem in the society. Turning a blind eye to crime is the same as selling your soul. When will Jamaica be safe so Jamaicans can be proud again?
