Hello, nice video, goes with my goldrecovery plans for summer (about kilo of old flatpax and BGAs). What is the gold stripping powder? Any recipe? I recover only chips, gold plating is realy poor at newer MBs, hard to work with, I was thinking about using iodine, but kinda does not make economical sence as iodine is not cheap. I plan to use ultrasound cleaner for burned chips disintegration, any experience with that?

@@PickyPlans No solvent, just burn it and instead of blender to use untrasound and small sieve to do 2 steps in one. Then probaly use my home made (3D printed) blue bowl and cupel with bismuth. It is a test, will see 🙂 Thank you for tip.

Thanks, No unlike aqua regia this solution is alkaline (pH 12) . So it doesn't attack most metals, Since it leaches the gold selectively Yes you can smelt it directly with acceptable purity +885
I hope i know those thiourea leaching agent, also if we recovery mother board here in Indonesia we would not make a profit because thos mother board or other chips as example is ended in recyle industry and they dare to pay huge, some of them i believe would export to the another country or continen like Australy because they had plant to recovery gold, our national mining company is also sending the gold to Australy also for further proccesing, in summary recovery gold from electeonic in Indonesia is suck.

You may just need to make the solder bath and remove components then to test good ones with value? The point in getting the gold out is really they are mostly outdated. More value is better if you can get it without too much effort waste.

@@PickyPlans I watched a video of converting potassium ferrocyanide solution into ferrocyanide by bubbling chlorine through it that showed the color change. Thus my continued confusion. This process looks really promising, since I have hundreds of pounds of plated phosphor bronze granules, with 8% tin in the base metals. The tin presents problems with most other processes.

What is the uniqueness of the method? the fact that you showed it five years after everyone else? I saw absolutely nothing not only unique, but even unusual. everything is eerily banal, shown on hundreds of channels thousands of times. even on the contrary - the method is rather suboptimal.
Hmm well... Have yet to see a single other refiner use the thiourea dioxide for dropping gold. Normally, you see them choose smb, ferrous sulfate, oxalic acid, or sometimes hydrazine hydrate. Also taking the parts with barely any gold plating and quickly stripping in the gold solution without sorting or seperation of pins is part of it. Just remember 6 motherboards is the video. These are low quality in my refining world. 😂 I get more bga from random media boards in things I disassemble. (3 board classifications I use: power boards, media boards, or telecoms)
You can't precipitate gold from an alkaline gold leaching solution with referred reducing agents, also , unlike the aqua regia method , this method (Enhanced Thiosulfate leach) is scalable without any limitations to thousands of liters in industrial scale.
برای رسوب از دی اکسید تیوره استفاده کردم از پودر روی هم میشه استفاده کرد اسکوربیک اسید هم میشه اما کمی سخته نیاز به تنظیم پی اچ داره و طی واکنش اسید و باز ممکنه محلول شما سر بره

It's based on Sodium thiosulfate, Potassium ferricyanide and Hydrated lime.
Dear, What Three Chemical combine mix or separate use Chemical for gold striping powder?
4 grams Thiosulfate
10 grams potassium ferricyanide
0.5 grams lime
Per liter is optimum

I was thinking that potassium ferrocyanide was yellowish and ferricyanide was redish.
Colors are not recognizable in anhydrous form also Ferricyanide in solution is yellow and ferrocyanide is colorless
