I’m pretty sure you used 2-4x more cost in the chemicals than you got back in gold. If you trim the gold fingers, you could use 1/10th of the chemicals. And I’d separate the gold foils first by sitting them in sulfuric acid first, then you’d only need a few drops of nitric to dissolve that. Never premeasure Aqua Regia. Cover in HCL then add a few ml of Nitric at a time until gold is dissolved, then you don’t even need urea since you only used enough nitric to do the job. Nitric is expensive, lowering the amount of that you use is the only way to maximize your cost of recovery.
People, chemists do recommend using protective gear for a reason, the fumes and the liquids involved in processes like this are not safe to play around in your usual kitchen and bathroom. Also use a calculator, butane torches, special glass containers and chemicals are much more expensive than what you'll obtain by selling the final extraction.
I had always thought only the gold fingers contain gold, good to know RAM chips also have it. Out of the 0.84 g gold you got, any idea of how much is from gold fingers and IC chips respectively?

Cut the fingers off the ram and use HCl (copper 2 chloride) to remove gold foils. That gold will be almost 24k. After recovering the foils from copper 2 chloride, THEN refine in aqua regia or bleach/hcl
I have successfully extracted gold from gold fingers from RAM. However, I am having difficulty dealing with the sludge created when processing IC chips. Here is my process: 1. Burn IC chips till they turn ash grey 2. Grind them to powder 3. Wash the powder 5~6 times. A lot of sludge is formed during the step 4. Dissolve the sludge using aqua regia (300ml hcl + 100ml hno3) 5. Start the filteration process after 24 hours 6. Crazy how some counties allow you to wash toxic waste down the sink...at least you made 40 bucks out of it.....
thanks for watching and comment sir
The black exess is burned epoxy, we call it carbon, ... yap you can sink it everywere if it is burned down like it is here,
Very good,wonderful job👍🤝
thanks for watching my video broooo🌹🌹🌹🌹👍
Good technique and good use of acids, I really like your blender too! 👍🏼
thanks for watching sir
Are you wearing PPE equipment? It's a health hazard. How and where do you have the chemicals reclaimed? I worked in building those things and you can't dump it down the drain! The EPA will come after you if you aren't disposing the chemicals properly.
@@thomasdomanico1502 thanks for watching and thanks for help sir
Cool demonstration 👍.
$40.9 USD of gold that needs further refinement.
Far far exceeds the price of anything used except maybe the tweezers? 😂
Personally, I'd test them and resell what can be.
I imagine though, if you work around or have access to RAM and other parts it's probably worth it in the lonnnnnnng run.
its not that hard to get your hands on old ram sticks
@@thewolfgaming4874 please tell me where I can get over a lb let alone a kg for less than the profit.
You'll maybe able to do it once but guaranteed without being in his position "working on computers" you won't.
Just being realistic!
And their not sticks, their card's.
And totally eco-friendly, the process.
@@Joe-Mu nothing eco friendly about the refinement of metal's.
do you realize that its not only ram sticks that contain gold?

Parabéns pelo lindíssimo trabalho 👏👏
thanks 👍👍🌹
its worth it only in very large quantity. 1 kg dram memory sticks only yield 80grams of gold and needs a lot of chemicals and fuel to extract.
yes is true and thanks for watching and comment bro

Hello; I would like to ask you how to melt the valuable metal on the motor plate and what items to use! Thank you
Honestly you would not recover a half of what you invested in chemicals, not worth it

WOW, i'm amazed by this whole extraction process. I only have one question.
How many DDR RAM did you need for It be 1 Kg? 🤔
30 _45
thanks for info sir
What is average gold from 1kg ddr2/ddr3 per kg

Hi everybody, the question that immediately comes to mind when seeing this "separation of the printed circuits" by heating the RAMs is "Is the guy wearing a mask?" because the vapors must not smell like "CoCo Mademoiselle" ... I haven't finished watching the video because in fact it interests me more suddenly.

Stripping gold from computer components is not cost effective unless it's done at scale. Way too much effort the little amount at the end. ~$65 for what amount to a ton of supplies and many hours of effort.
yes bro .You should look for metals more valuable than gold. In this job, gold is considered as a job gift🌹🌹🌹🌹👍
La experiencia tras obtenerlo, tiene que ser muy gratificante pero, no creo que merezca la pena tras los productos utilizados. Aun así, muy interesante!
