The c7 has sold over 26000 for model year 2014 so far and selling about 3000 a month. The c6 sold over 35000 its first year and around I think around 13k in its final year. Gm shows sales from jan-dec instead of when the model year comes out so numbers can look different. Chevy increased their pricing on the c7 by a few grand and increased the once bargain performance z51 package by another few grand because sales where so good. The 2015 lt1 z51 now starts at $58k instead of $54k when it first came out. I've seen around a dozen in my city and in the showrooms. Almost every color looks fantastic to me. I could not decide from my usual favorite of torch red or the lighter blue they have if I had the $$ to buy. But the white with red interior or the yellow also look great.
Mid 2020 I was looking for a 2nd car & jokingly looked into corvettes. All of sudden, I made it the goal to buy one, especially the C7 model since it looked so much more modern design & not that cheap interior. Was able to get myself a 2014 C7 Corvette with the Z51 & 2LT package in the high velocity yellow for a STEAL price. Man, I love this thing, life changer coming from only driving a 2014 Malibu. Hoping to get a C8 by my 30's, only 25 now 👌🏽🙌🏽 glad to see you enjoying it as well! Btw, I'm watching this 6yr old review just because I miss driving mine, as I have it stored for the winter 😔

That low down feeling with the long aggressive nose is one of the things I love about the vette. It makes me feel like I'm in something special as, like the reviewer said, a regular sports car. The convertible in the c7 is one of the few soft top verts that I think look good and besides the wide body c6 427 vert, the c7 improves over the c6s convertible looks. Although I'd still just have the regular vette with the targa top.

Wonderful video. been watching many of your videos for the past 2 hours. An i just looked through the comments on this one an wow some people. I don't know if its jealousy or just to make them feel better but why insult a guy or call names when he is just clearly trying to cover all aspects an review a the car for those that are in the market for the thing. But any way Love the videos you do talk fast but from one of the videos he did say something about ADHD. Maybe im assuming but I have it as well. I just bought my first corvette 2 weeks ago. C7 2014 stingray 3LT with the 6 speed auto, blade metallic silver. I have the same red interior of your convertible. I went with the automatic so my wife can drive it too. Absolutely love the C7 design and engineering.

This guy knows his stuff and the Corvette is awesome, every thing about it looks brilliant. In its base form it is faster than a porsche 911 and looks much better and makes you think why porsche charge what they do...i'd have the better looking, better performing Corvette any day!!

So, buy CD, upload to computer, transfer to Ipod then plug into Vette....or Thumb Drive or SD Card or some other BS like that or down load from rip-off Itunes and load onto some BS device....who buys 70K cars....it sure as fuk isn't a 20 something year old.....nope....dudes that still use/prefer CDs and has cassettes and maybe 8 tracks in their garage!! Why not? I see Chevy/GM is still going the cheap way out or the usual poor management.....as always. GM comes so close but, always fuks it up in the end. LOL...NO CD PLAYER! I thought the Dodge Ram was bad when they put the CD player under the seat center counsel but, shit....at least it has a CD player. Jorge Urdaneta What....any decent lap top come with reader/writer CD, I never seen a newer lap top without that feature, unless your referring to a Lap Top that costs under $200 bucks....I'll look at one the next time I'm in Best Buy or somewhere like that.

Love your reviews! Especially in the Jaguar F-Type R, you convinced me to actually buy one. But one thing I would recommend to this review channel is I would love for you to demonstrate on your reviews the cars Audio systems and sound quality to the speakers of the cars that your testing. For me personally a good sound quality in the speakers can either make or break a car. Either way nice review, very detailed!

So I'm not going to try and be some young gun kid saying I own this car however (and yes I'm sure I can guess your jokes already) my mom actually has this car. I am 6'3" and I fit comfortably into this car! Also the interior is incredible! My mom is a corvette woman and used to have the 2000 C5 corvette which had very bland interior. I've driven the car on multiple occasions and my God it is incredible! I've driven cars from a Nissan GTR and this corvette could easily hold its own with those types of cars! My mom also has the convertible Z51 corvette and I've got to say I drool at the car every time I see the thing! Great design and an incredible interior quality and mechanics help this car be the true corvette that it should have been for over 61 years now (yes corvette started in 1953). The best part for me however are the modes that you can set this car in! You can go from a track focused or sport focused screaming muscle car that sounds like it is ready to tear your head off to eco mode where even a prius might want to actually become friends with you.... Amazing engineering is all I can say and I look forward to the new innovations that are to come in the car world that are at a reasonable price!
I had an 88 Toyota Supra back in high school,it had just about everything this Corvette had,it offered the same kind of joy to drive around,but alot cheaper and it didnt hurt my pocket none.....

I prefer the manual one much more than the auto transm. I heard some rumors about the reliability of the 7 spd manual but it's just more fun to drive especially on the track, I definitely like the Z51 package I'd go for a 2LT I don't care about the Navi and ventilated seats.. then in Europe the the base price is the same but the Z51 package is offered for free, You have to pay the navi, black wheels, red calipers and something else.. it's quite cool.
Why do you keep apologizing for the automatic? The majority of C7s sold are automatic. Your review was other wise very good except for the constant apology for the "uncool" automatic.
no it doesnt? it has a butterfly valve on the first and last pipe. sport mode opens both of them. no room for any more volume. and dont even say more power. all track mode doest is adjust steering, suspension and traction control
C7 is just amazing, a BIG step up in Corvette. Now for the question I: why does it chime like Chevy Spark when you start it up? I just don't get that, Chevy. Make that sound a bit more classy or at least different from the cheap economy cars. Every time I hear that chime I get a flash back of the rental Aveo I drove many times.
Nice review, but one glaring mistake; the carbon fiber in the interior is real, it's just not glossed like it is in most cars(probably to make the plastic below it not stand out as much). Honestly, kinda irks me that they didn't just do the whole thing in CF, it couldn't have been that much more expensive, and it's not like there's anyone who wouldn't like it. Oh well, the C7 will be around for a while, plenty of time to add full CF as an option at least.
We tried to avoid driving with the top up as you really cannot see anything. Plus, we were graced with good weather during our test period with the vehicle.
Yea those "fins" on the back need to be a.Relocated b. A lot bigger c. Possibly serve a purpose.... Maybe brake duct or some sort of radiator or exhaust ports.. Would be cool or just removed.. But I'd rather see them look bigger and help the car function in some sort of way
One thing to note about the 7 speed manual in the Corvette is that, it is the same as the old 6 six speed it replaces, but with another forward gear. Does, anybody know about the Corvette's ridiculously tall 6th gear? It's still there, just as tall as always, and you even get another, slightly taller gear.
Excellent review keep up the good work. This by far was the most in-depth review I've seen on the new vetts. I'm trying to decide what to get. I'm looking at the z06, nismo gtr, jaguar f type r coupe or the 911 gt3. So any insight on these cars would be wonderful. Also, a segment I would love to see is a reliability segment on the cars with general statistics. It's not easy to find information about reliability of the European vs American brand sports cars.
reliability and parts availability/price goes to american by a LONNNGGGGGGG shot.and the now z06 will smoke all of those on the track and only loses to the gtr in 0-60 and 1/4 mile. the jag has a more refined luxurious interior but cant match the performance at all. the gt3 has better braking and MAY handle a little better due to Porches well know agility.
Located one with 67 miles on it and the black stripe option, this will sell it for me, great job but would have been better with video from another vehicle injected.
I have a maxed out with options C7 Corvette Z51 in yellow with black mirrors and spoilers etc. I love it ,but the corvette convertible doesn't look as good
Chevy did a great job here. I would pick this over any other sports car. There may be slightly better cars out there but wow will you ever pay for even the slightest increase in performance.

i don't think this particular model has the performance package,as far as i know those have oil coolers,differential cooler,so it should have the grill on the rear fenders which this one does not.
Great insightful and knowledgeable review Sofyan. I'm thinking of trading my porsche for a C7. Its an amazing machine. I can tell you know all the finer bits about the C7 so I am curious as to how you would option out the machine if you were buying one. Let's assume its the 2015 model which is in the showrooms now. My initial thought is the Z51, 3LT with the 7 spd manual. Anything else?
There are other options like Carbon fiber flash painted spoiler and mirrors which give the car more accent in the right color, like white, silver and red. I would recommend the Magnetic Selective Ride Control, there is also the option of having the roof the color of your car, or have it show off it's Carbon Fiber or have a transparent roof.
***** OK thanks. The sales guy mentioned something about an option to get two tops. A clear and color top. I don't need the clear cuz the top will be off most of the time when I want the sun coming in. I gather that the magnetic selective ride is not part of the Z51 pack. The good news is that the sport exhaust is part of Z51 for 2015.
Joe Mosely No problem, I actually didn't even know you can buy two roof panels for the car, might have to do that now lol. Yea most of the time for myself the top will be down. Sadly the magnetic selective ride control is only a option when you trim for the Z51, you can't get the option without getting the Z51 package, and then you have to add that option. The sport exhaust is a must for every corvette, the car isn't alive without it. Good luck though, I plan on buying mine in about a year or two.

Why didnt you put it in race mode? The exhaust gets even better!

CORRECTION: He said it had "faux" carbon fiber trim on the interior. That is REAL carbon fiber, and all one piece. It's a $1000 option.

The 2017 And up look nice to especially in zo6 it has the zo6 body without the engine lol the newer 2017 and up look like it had a refresh look

I have a maxed out with options C7 Corvette Z51 in yellow with black mirrors and spoilers etc. I love it ,but the corvette convertible doesn't look as good

Chevy did a great job here. I would pick this over any other sports car. There may be slightly better cars out there but wow will you ever pay for even the slightest increase in performance.
I like it i dont think its ugly at all it is very stylish

Saabkyle Carolina southern voice is an annoyance
Saabkyle doesn't even drive the car he reviews most of the time.
As much as i enjoy saabkyle. He seems more like a salesman than a reviewer. He never mentions anything negative about the things he gets. In order to review a car, you should always mention the good and the bad because thats what people want to know.
Saabkyle is not a reviewer, more like a presenter, he only states the facts and specifications, no opinions, personals thoughts or/and impressions whatsoever. He makes every car seem perfect. That's a not a review lol

Can't find any IIHS or other crash test or security ratings for corvettes c7.
Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but I believe that's actually genuine carbon fiber. (As I would hope for $1k)
If it looks like Carbon Fiber, it's carbon fiber.
i don't think this particular model has the performance package,as far as i know those have oil coolers,differential cooler,so it should have the grill on the rear fenders which this one does not.
Was that the door I heard closing or did someone throw an empty paint can into a dumpster.

Great insightful and knowledgeable review Sofyan. I'm thinking of trading my porsche for a C7. Its an amazing machine. I can tell you know all the finer bits about the C7 so I am curious as to how you would option out the machine if you were buying one. Let's assume its the 2015 model which is in the showrooms now. My initial thought is the Z51, 3LT with the 7 spd manual. Anything else?
There are other options like Carbon fiber flash painted spoiler and mirrors which give the car more accent in the right color, like white, silver and red. I would recommend the Magnetic Selective Ride Control, there is also the option of having the roof the color of your car, or have it show off it's Carbon Fiber or have a transparent roof.
***** OK thanks. The sales guy mentioned something about an option to get two tops. A clear and color top. I don't need the clear cuz the top will be off most of the time when I want the sun coming in. I gather that the magnetic selective ride is not part of the Z51 pack. The good news is that the sport exhaust is part of Z51 for 2015.
Joe Mosely No problem, I actually didn't even know you can buy two roof panels for the car, might have to do that now lol. Yea most of the time for myself the top will be down. Sadly the magnetic selective ride control is only a option when you trim for the Z51, you can't get the option without getting the Z51 package, and then you have to add that option. The sport exhaust is a must for every corvette, the car isn't alive without it. Good luck though, I plan on buying mine in about a year or two.

Porsche what? If it's a 911? DON'T! 911's are going up in value while a corvette may be a stupidly fast and exciting great handling car. It Won't have this investment value. It will depreciate.
