Wasn't sure if this was the purpose of the FS-CEV04, but you've made it very clear to me. I am an aircraft guy, but all the principals are the same. Thanks for your video!
You are a Saint thank you for taking the time to make this video. I tried it last month when the i-bus arrived and I could not make it work completely, and recognize all 8 channels. I have the firmware from September so I will update and follow your video again. If this helps anyone else, my firmware states 2.0.75 Sep-2-2019 which did not work completely with the i-bus. As far as I can tell you need the firmware referenced in this video,
Awesome content. The rc car community sucks with these kinds of videos. Compared to the fpv drone community. Not many rc guys take the time to show all features. Thank you so much sir. Shared and liked followed and alerted.
Hi great vid I had mine all working great put my car away when I got it out again obviously everything was still saved in handset but ibus had forgotten all its selected channels so got it all working again and it done same again but know even when you push the button on ibus it says on hand set it's working but there is no movement like servo is dead but it isn't any ideas would be operated
Did this happen after some time (months, weeks) or after the first setup? I also do have strange problems sometimes with the Noble, as you have seen in the video. But I have to admit: So far I did not run my Noble with Ibus 8 ch in a car. Probably won't anymore, because now there are already 3 or 4 8-channel receivers out. I tested it because I wanted to see if it works and I am very interested in "new stuff". I have to check if I do also have those problems, so make a new model with ibus and let it wor some weeks. Hard to say what your problem is. Could be Noble software, could be ibus receiver, could be a plug... Have you tried to bind on a new model (new model! Not only new binding to same model!) and setup again? This sometimes helps in such kind of problems. Good luck! Tell if it works!
The knob on the right side I believe you said it up for channel 4 if you say that to three positions could you actually said that knob to run channels say four and five I have a crawler with locking differentials would love to set up those on the same knob so say like one quick does the rear lock the third click does the front look is this possible
Do you mean a push button? With 1 push button I do not think this will work. But with a 3 position knob yes. You can do this with mixing, Noble has a ton of mixing options. Master and slave two channels...
For the Nobel transmitter are there only 3 receivers that will work with this controller? Great video that helped me make a decision on what radio to buy.
A new one has recently be released. You'll have to look for AFHDS 3 protocol, those receives will work. The new one is named FlySky FGr4P. So there are: FGr4S, FS-GR4, FGr4P and 10 ch FTr10. Probably more receivers will come. Biggest downside for me comparing my Noble to my 8ch Flysky GT3c: The price of the receivers.
@@donaldsneffe I finally got my Nobel and I also received a FTr10. Do you have any experience with this receiver. I want to run all the channels to run different accesories. How do I program the channels 5-10 on the remote without using I Bus?
Hi, check the links - a new Flysky Micro rx for Noble is available now. Not cheap, however I have ordered it. Maybe a video after I received it, curious if 8 ch ibus will work with this too.
@@nashlivingston3769 You've probably figured this out by now but the FTr10 DOES NOT require the use of the ibus expander module since it can already output 10 channels. However, the NB4 can ONLY output 8 channels so you can't make use of the other 2 extra channels. I have emailed Flysky about this in hopes they will make a 10 channel firmware. The more people email them, the better. The extra channels will be great for "construction" equipment RC. As for programming channels 5-8, you do it as you'd normally do it for channels 1-4 since, again, no ibus expander is required.
Can you confirm that this approach still works on the newer firmware from March 2020? I am having issues getting mine to work with the ibus satellite. Thanks so much for your time and detail into this radio. I absolutely love it.
@@douglaswest4335Check if ibus is selected. Mine seems to unselect sometimes during programming. Tested it right now, after FW update. Again I had to select ibus twice. And select 8 channels! Good luck!
@@donaldsneffe yes sir. I saw that in the video and kept checking. I'm sure I am just doing something wrong. I will try again tomorrow. Thanks again for the time and your great video. Cheers!
Did not try. Could work if you use 1-way (no telemetry) transmission, but not sure if you could switch ch 1 and 2 of receiver 2 to channels 5 and 6, probably not.
@@donaldsneffe Hey thanks for the super fast answer! I now have the Problem that i dont get into the advace Mode to eaven bind 2 recievers cause i only have FGr4sV2 propably.... Or doni need to Update the nb4 ON the PC to get that?
I am attempting this same set up, FGR4S V2 with an FS-CEV04. I have verified I have the iBus set up menu. I can then confirm that channel 5 is selected to K1 of the iBus on the Transmitter. But after assigning channel 5 to several different places, I cannot get it to do anything. Do I need power to the VCC port on the iBus? Am I missing anything else?
@@tylski333 I'm on .85 but that firmware you're running should work fine too. The only thing I can suggest is to make sure you have set the channel output to either 6 or 8 in the SYSTEM settings, if not, the outcome will be what you are describing.
