I have an addiction for buttons!! I remember my mom giving me her big button tin to play with . I would spend a lot of time sorting and categorizing. Looking back, those were probably the days I was driving her crazy! 😂 She was a wonderful seamstress and quilter. I miss her advice!!! What a fun memory. Tganks Pat! Have a funtabulous day!
Millie's dresses would be the perfect place to use some of those buttons. Some could be used as a brooch, your pearls could be a pearl necklace, some just buttons down the front.

I definitely agree on sewing blocks and sashings together as chunks and/or rows while still making more blocks. I have 2 different sets of blocks all finished and then I stalled out when it came to sewing them all together (yes both are on my UFO list 🤣) . Your Millie's Dresses blocks are so cute! AND Paradise Park is in the House! Very pretty fabric.
Thanks for highlighting Angela Walters. She's one of the first RUclipsrs that I watched when I got full into quilting in her series "The Midnight Quilter." I remember gasping when I saw her with her popcorn and glass of wine next to the quilt she was working on. Very talented lady. Her Free-Motion Quilting book looks terrific.

IF I'm going to use them on my next project, I will put them on a large safety pin & keep them with the project. Looking for the perfect fabric for my dress pillow; sadly I haven't found it yet. I am playing catch up, just got the pattern for Millie’s Dressers and using various fabrics I have in my stash. They are all going to be e different, not repeating. Love this pattern, reminds me of my husband’s and my grandmother(s). I never saw them in anything other than a “house” dress, and on Sunday, a “go to church” dress from their wardrobes. I love your idea of working on the border as you go!

When I dressed up for work I had a black tie I would wear looser with a black pants suit and I covered it with gold buttons, so cute! I had a clock button! I need to start my Millies Dresses.
I'm going to do a Millies dress block this week
I have one of those small boxes with the little drawers . I keep things I know will get lost. Especially bobbins, bobbin cases, attachment for my snap on feet, special feet I don't want to lose. Needles...It sits on a wine rack near my sewing machine. The wine rack holds my roles of stabilizers, freezer paper etc.

Hi Shawn! No they do not. The designer puts the set of prints together that they want to. Go look at fabric lines and you will see it varies wildy what is in them

I have many buttons that my one granddaughter loves to look at. In fact, she has some she borrowed’ from me that she says she’ll give back. Some are cats and dogs, ballerinas, etc.
