Pat, those old fashion thermoses are fantastic to take out on the boat when you need a cup of coffee just as the sun’s going down. I remember every man working at every construction job in the world had one of those and I got one for my son. It is beat up, but still going strong and keeps the coffee hot hot hot.

I enjoyed your show very much! Your owl pillow turned out great! I was hoping you would show us how you finished your back. Did you use a zipper or have the opening to put the pillow in? Your quilt tops are so beautiful! It must be difficult giving away the quilts when you don’t know who is receiving them! I make mine for certain people and I enjoy giving those away! Thank you for sharing your work and showing us how to think things through. Your computer program is great! It would be very helpful!

The owls are growing on me!😊 I never was interested in owls until this quilt and pillow. I might be hooked!
Has something changed?-- "Thermos" was a trademarked name, rather than a generic term. Both Thermos and Stanley might object to the generic use. (Like referring to Puffs facial tissues as Kleenex. Kimberly Clark made a large legal fuss about that, some years ago.)

I love seeing all the quilts you have made and hear the stories behind them, thank you for sharing with us. I watch your videos everyday and enjoy them a lot. I am sad to see that RUclips wants to ruin our viewing by pushing to go to portrait or landscape shots which look more like a phone view as opposed to a computer bigger screen view. I for one am not happy and will probably leave RUclips all together if they switch to a phone view which you cannot see most of what you are showing. I hope the content creators will speak on our behalf and push to keep the viewing screen as is and also stop the ads in the middle of live streams also. Hope it was ok to voice this happening if not then please delete it, thank you for all you bring us.

i don't know what you mean? there is nothing YT is doing to my videos. that is all edited by me. I think it is on your end as the video is NOT portrait except photo parade which is NOT a video but .. ah.. photos! You can do a screen shot, tell me your device you are using and email me a photo if you like. Or contact your local support to trouble shoot your device.

I @@PatSloan I heard about it from one of the content creator she was informed by RUclips they prefer a portrait or landscape screen.. Maybe it does not effect all creators but three of who I watch already have done it that way. So hope they don't make it permanent I hate to lose the lives and videos.

I made a determined effort to attack my bin of tops last year and am down to just 3! But now I have to tackle the UFO’s ! Haven’t counted them yet but probably at least 12. I try to alternate a new project and an old one. I have a hard time sometimes trying to do multiple projects, unless it’s a scrap or leader ender. My brain can only organize so much at once. Well, the owls grew on me. I need to visit Wendy's site for ideas and inspiration soon. Some of my ideas may not have been entirely my own! Which I have just learnt. I just want to sew like you Pat and create crafty niceness and cause no harm. Well at least try too! Thank you Pat. Big hug ❤😊.

Don’t get rid of your old one. They dont make them like they used to. My husband brought a new one a couple years ago and it did not keep the coffee hot.

I notice some of your quilts have a black background. Do you wash them? If so, how do you prevent the dark fabric from dulling the lighter or brighter fabrics? I have used color catchers, but there is still noticeable dulling/graying! How many catchers do I need to use, or is there something else I need to do?

Fellow quilter. Shout color catchers works great. I use it every quilt I wash
With red quilts wash separate 😊

Oh well, good advice for going forward. Ill just have to use a big wad of catchers and hope for the best on the one I'm just completing!

I would think the steam-a-seam stabilizes it, but do a little test sample first.
