Decoupage a cast iron free standing tub. Based on my neighbor's experience, ground floor is a must. Those tubs weigh a ton.... Lol Her's has large fronds with a leopard head peeking out.... ❤ Never asked why.
Another beautiful piece. Adding the embellishment around the bathtub set off your design was perfection. Cannot wait for the next project. Don’t worry about how long the video was because it was so fascinating watching your thought process that I didn’t even notice the time. Thank you for sharing everything with us.
I watched the video to the end, it wasn’t too long. Love the collage, makes me want to make one! Thank you for a cute video, love the flowers coming up out of the tub!💕🌸
Fantastic. Love this Have the supplies, for years, but can't get the nerve to try. You have made this look easier than i thought and so much fun. Thanks so much.
Don’t iron it hard onto the paper just tack iron then when you get fabric steam in onto the fabric. By ironing it onto the paper you have activated the glue and you don’t want to activate the glue until you have it on your fabric. Also, if you activate correctly, you won’t have as much sticky stuff on your needle but if you get sticky stuff on your needle, just clean your needle with a small Alcohol wipe as you go. I just watched a class on this so sharing what I was taught.
Oh my goodness!!! Thank you so very much for sharing this information. I did realize I ironed it too much on the parchment paper. LOL I did see somewhere about the steam helping when you add it to the fabric. The alcohol on the needle is brilliant for cleaning. I will definitely be trying your tips. Many Thanks!!!
Thank you for sharing your tips. Even when handsewing, I sometimes had difficulty with adhesives coating my needle. Using alcohol wipes has greatly improved my sewing time 😊 I'm old school and usually avoid iron-on backing/interfacing. Any advice on eliminating those glue strings from using hot glue guns? Take care and have a fun day 🍄🍄
@@dcinrb8538 I like the idea of “old school” Sounds relaxing ☺️ I should get some alcohol wipes. Would help with my machine needle I imagine. I do not have a lot of experience with glue guns…sorry. Enjoy 💕
I bought that scissors years ago and love that scissors! The blades are serrated with tiny teeth that grab the fabric and cut to the tip. Great for fussy cutting an appliqué!
Just a great idea. I have only recently found your channel so I have been looking at past videos. I love the free motion pieces and you have given me so many creative ideas. Also, you have introduced me to new stabilizing products and their use. Thank you so much for all you have shared.
Oh my stars!! How adorable. I took my Liberty scraps and decoupaged them on my bedside lamp (shade). I must admit I was drooling over your scraps!! Love me some Liberty❣☺
@@Reignvermont I used Mod Podge. No prepping needed. The scraps laid smooth with the glue. I love mine. Nest scrap Liberty project is serving trays!! I found some clear (heavy duty) plastic trays and I'm going to Mod Podge Liberty scraps on them. The new Mod Podge that's waterproof is awesome!! So I'll have a scrappy Liberty snack trays for special occasions.

Just found you... this is awesome... getting a bit bored with my quilting... so this is going to be just the thing i need to "spice up my crafting"...TY
I was in a watercolor quilt class and had yet to figure out the old water pump. I think it may be easier to fill it with a tub. Love it making my left brain crank up.
Beautiful! ❤ thank you for this inspiration . Fabric has always been my passion since i was 6-7 yrs of.age..making bald doll heads on pencil backs 😊 then matchbox furniture. Then evolved to designing garments for. 25 years.. but fabric art inspired by a relative has always been a heart pulling cord ...❤ so inspired by an artist relative .. so im fascinated by your video inspiring me to use so much collection of fabrics and laces left from being a dress designer for 25 years ! Listening to your voice explaining the process is making my heart sing 🥰 inspiring me get into active fabric art .💞
Thank you so very much for sharing your story 🥰 I have been sewing for my business for close to 30 years. I am now enjoying my new hobby of playing with fabric and exploring all the possibilities that have been floating around in my head. 🤪 I am having so much fun. Good luck with your journey 💕

Me encantó el resultado!!!!❤sabes que tengo una guata fina con papel aderido con pegamento, y no la puedo usar ,me pasa lo mismo ,la aguja se pega 😮 Gracias por compartir tus ideas👍🤗
I draw my pattern with a fine tip marker or reg tip permanent black marker after I like what I've drawn and tape it to the back side of an applique sheet so I can see it easier. Steam a seam vs the applique dbl sides paper is the steam a seam will temp stick to any surface and no ironing needed so it's able to be shifted around until hear is applied. Once everything in a section is complete it the whole project, then apply heat to adhere everything together. The parts are then removed from the applique sheet and placed onto fabric, (and still able to move around), until placement is perfect (with steam a seam). Hope this makes sense? I use a cotton ball with alcohol, it's cheaper, to remove glue from my sewing needle if it gums up. It will stick the cotton ball fibers to anyplace still sticky I can know to do it again. If no sticky, no fibers left behind. If the ironing sets the glue properly, minimal residue is left too gunk up your needle., just don't iron too long or the glue will no longer work. It's a balancing act, lol. I sometimes use small strips of black fabric, bias if rounded edges), to give a stained glass look and that allows all edges to be glued together so it doesn't come apart and add a ton of details. Awesome video, and much appreciated... Babs near Tombstone AZ
