@@rjrotermund I think stunning is what you were going for there but that is entirely beside the point. She is intelligent and knows a metric-ton about pool and is sharing that with all of us while asking nothing in return. That is a beautiful thing in, and of, itself!

Your cue action is like old-school billiards. As a junior, my elders always taught me to follow-through on every shot and I do the same with Snooker as well. Its refreshing to see someone doing the same. Thank You for the awesome video.

I love these. Clear, concise, etc. I was fortunate to watch Jeanette Lee practicing at a pool hall near my office in the early 90s. I picked up some of these drills from watching her and her coach. I love going to the local pool hall alone and working on stuff like this for an hour or so. A coach would be great, but can't afford it. Often, when I go during the day, I'll have some older geezer(s) notice what I'm doing and will offer helpful feedback on mechanics, etc. Ears open mouth shut is the way I learn no matter the subject.

After watching your follow-through video, my mechanics improved RADICALLY. I typically use the pool table to get up from the computer, otherwise I will sit at the computer for hours on end. I go to the table, throw the balls out, and knock them down. I have been trying to teach myself position play for about a year now, and making slow improvement. It used to be, I seldom sank all fifteen balls without a miss. I could get to 13 pretty regularly, but I would leave the hard balls till last and end up chasing the last three balls around the table.
Well you know what? After concentrating on follow-through for several weeks, the other day I sunk all 15 balls THREE TIMES IN A ROW. 45 balls without a miss! I was amazed. I could never have done it without you.
So I am going to watch this video very carefully and do the drills you suggest. You are my best teacher now.

Great advice! Particularly like the Super X drill and aim and shoot minus the warm up stroke; both help immensely straightening cue delivery. On the side pocket drill I've been closing my eyes on delivery. That has been a real "eye opener" on how off my contact was compared to the intended impact point.

Really good video and drills. I find the more I work REGULARLY on my stroke - the more I win. Amazing how that works huh. LOL. The Might X, if you are performing it right, is a tough drill. Absolutely no movement after the cue hits the target ball, shot after shot, is not easy, and the Mighty X drawing back into the corner is brutal tough for me.
The drill where you get down on the shot and don't do any fine tuning strokes is one I have used for years and also one that Max Eberle (I think that is his last name) promotes. It identifies alignment issues and stroke issues really fast. The stroke drill, by the rail, is one that I was taught years ago and damn near had a nervous breakdown when in Makati, Manila and Efren Reyes is watching me perform it for about an hour. Doesn't say a word to me, just watches. I almost lost my mind.

I’ve watched a couple of your matches and have a couple ideas for you. Suggest you slow down your practice strokes on tight, short or delicate shots. Never a good idea to go fast fast slow…It causes deceleration which is never good (golf).
On those same shots, maybe cut your nails to give you more feel on elevated cue ?
    Love watching you.
