- Watch as I show you how to create a stunning flower arrangement using a watermelon as a unique and beautiful vase. Perfect for summer parties, picnics, or as a vibrant centerpiece for your home, this design combines the fresh look of flowers with the juicy, refreshing appeal of watermelon. And, while we’re on the topic of juicy and refreshing, let’s take the pulp from our “vase,” turn it into juice and use the juice to make a delicious Watermelon Old Fashioned! Inspired by Laney Wilson’s song “Watermelon Moonshine,” this is just the thing to cool you off on these hot summer days! Hope you enjoy this episode! Cheers!
Flowers Used today: Sunflowers, deep orange bi-color roses, Viking mums, green hydrangea, red gerbera daisies, lotus pods, soloman’s seal greenery, Johnson grass, Florida ruscus

Watching from just outside D.C. Love this series. Anyone else mildly intimidated when Mark says, "we're going to create a basic rounded shape" yet proceeds to create perfection all while narrating the process? Me neither. 😉
👏 Bravo!
@@amberburnett9377 hello friend!! Hahaha! You’re too kind and too funny! Hope you and the hubs are well! Thanks so much for watching! Cheers!
Just used watermelon rinds as vessels for church altar arrangements this past Sunday. Arrangements were beautiful. Skipped the watermelon beverage for communion wine though. 😉
Sounds wonderful and perfect for summer! I can see why you might have skipped the watermelon beverage though! Thanks for watching! Cheers!
Beautiful! Thank you for mentioning the mechanics.

Watching from my cool and comfy kitchen in franklin county va! Love the pop of yellow and the watermelon container! Extra points for double use in a summer drink, cheers!😅❤
My fave at home from my side of the road flowers is cattails and queen annes lace😊Happy 4th!
Sounds lovely! And thanks for your kind words! You’ll have to try the drink; it was very tasty! Great flower choices for your roadside blooms, too! Cheers friend!
Ooooh nothing says "summer" like an arrangement in a watermelon (and yes! to showing some of the rind)! PS I hope you're able to post pics of the centerpieces on the wedding reception tables, whenever that happens. Cheers to you, Mark!
Thanks, Maria! So glad you liked this homage to summer! I'll try to get those pics from the wedding on my social pages this week and you can compare! Thanks again for watching and being a loyal viewer! Cheers!
