Looking at this or the 8, got a 4 year old Edge lit lg nano cell, bottom edge lights all showing on screen, but I've never been happy with the grey banding, especially in movies, it's one thing that i want to avoid. How much of an upgrade would this tv be for me

I did buy U7K, and after settings and calibrations, the screen is excellent. My only mistake was I didn't buy it in 65 inches. I bought it in 55 inch. Only other issue I'm having is trying to figure out the settings for PS5 to get 120hz.

Great tv,...in uk, we get non back lit but aluminium handset,very premium feeling. The sound for tv is really good but still if you have funds get a hifi stereo or better still a surround system. why waste money on anything else . Just one real possible issue,..will it survive 5+ years ..
I got the 85inch model on Amazon in India for 1500usd. I think nothing comes closer to price performance this Tv has. I have this in my living room and I have a Sony a80j in my bed room and except for like very well shot movies with lots of dark scenes the mini led with costs half as much as my oled for double the size is actually better and it’s unbelievable
@@runcdanger I’m assuming the 85 is also ips. But the 85 has significantly higher zones and the panel is from the u8k I suppose not sure. I have not seen the smaller models side by side so I can’t say but the increase in the zones should compensate for the va panel. I don’t find any blooming wat so ever in my Tv. Yes picture quality of oled is not be all and end all. As I said 80% of the content out there does not take advantage of oled. Colourful action movies and animations from the likes of Disney or even a movie like Gemini Man is for the bright screen. Whereas series like the peaky blinders will show the inky colour of oled. So for the former types a bigger and brighter screen is more impact-full hence 80% of real life content looks better on the 85inch mini led than the 65inch oled. But movies that are shot for the dark screen could never look as good as they look on a oled on anything. Cheers

They are Junk. They can't do motion they suck at upconverting. Their PQ processing sucks too. Hisense cares about brightness washed out pictures with deep blacks that can't be processed correctly without microblocking like crazy. Get a real Sony tv for once and you'll actually know what your talking about.

As an owner (2nd replacement) I can vouch for the fact that, like all other TV's, the internal sound sucks ass. Bright scenes are amazing. Dark scenes washed out and at times it appears as if the TV just guesses at what palette of colours it should display making images appear at times to be cartoon like & unreal. SD looks like shit on this & indeed any TV 55"+. Some 'live' HD TV Channels can be awful also but this depends on how much compression is being used & the age of the material. That said I never saw the wash out I see on this TV on my old 55" 3D LED TV. If you leave the settings on this TV at their factory settings then this TV performs reasonably well for most but content has to be uncompressed & of good quality. The old saying cr@p in cr@p out.
Seems like os is better on this tv but it also seems like an ips panel for you guys. Nice tv but the contrast making it look like a ips. In America if you go over 77 you are getting an ips anyways
Is this an Australian review? I saw the ABC Iview app on the screen so I'm guessing this is the Australian model. Perhaps you should tag the U7KAU model number as many of us are interested in the differences in spec to what is reviewed in North America, which is hard to pin down by using Hisense's own websites, and there really isn't much for reviews of the local model, nothing about panel type, dimming zones, processors. A friend just purchased a U7KAU and is really pleased. I own a 2017 LG C7 OLED with permanent Kayo Sport and RUclips logos burned into it (You only notice it on yellow to red backgrounds) that no amount of pixel refreshing will fix, so I would have a Mini_LED TV rather than go through the OLED burn-in again as I find I spend too much time on sites like Kayo and RUclips which have static images (red seems to be the culprit).
Nice guess what their is no content at all that requires more than 60hz unless you are 4K Gaming with a PS5 or XBOX X And then it depends on the game as well. So having 120hz 4k is useless in every day tv viewing.

And some people do PC gaming with their TVs. Plus if your main concern is watching content, focus more on the panel technology ie Mini led, etc for the best experience. It's not about the hertz

You are comparing oled with mini led and saying it's still looks good... But the thing is 65 and 75 inch are ips and I wonder how good those two are

Its not IPS . Their 75” r very glossy premium I just filmed that tv in 65” Va , I filmed U8K 75” in -- ADS PRO ! Its not IPS
