This song by PoTF always makes me cry. It's beautiful, but also very sad.

I know. This video hits HARD.
I believe it is a sequel, or at least a reference to it, in the song "Love will come to you" even if it precedes this one.
If you happen to see the video, watch the old man throw the roses into the sea.

      Yeah, it really did.
Cool, I’ll have to make sure to check that one out as well. Thanks ❤️❤️

There's a real juxtaposition between the melody (bright, happy, upbeat), the lyrics (a relationship twisted, cutting and possibly even cruel) and the video (a love story marred by tragedy). i had to listen/watch this one a bunch of times before i could kind of emotionally resolve all of that. PoTF doesn't really shy away from how messy real life can be sometimes, you know?

I really love it when bands like this can take on the tougher subjects, it does really hit you when they do but in a good way.
There are some artists I follow who does the same in their lyrics (and videos), I think I need to throw some of them into the mix as well. ❤️

This one is the perfect example of what I wrote last week about the album Ultraviolet - it's about the reality beyond what you perceive as real. You think it's just an upbeat tune about a loving couple. Until the truth behind that outward image you have of them is revealed. I was impressed you already noticed the darker foreshadowing before the song took the turn in that direction. And yes - live and enjoy every moment right here, right now. 😊

I love the way they layer meaning through the entire production. I’m going to love to dive deeper into their music and also the Ultraviolet album as well.

This song was definitely a surprise when I first heard it. Based on the name I expected something mostly dark, but as always the Poets take me for a ride
Dunno if you've listened to "Moonlight kissed" from them but somehow that song came to my mind when listening to this. It doesn't have a similar upbeat vibe tho. But I really like the themes there. Highly recommend with the music video

I haven't checked that one out yet, but it's on my list now so I'll definitely get to it. Thanks for the suggestion

I do love this song.. but also kinda hate the sad story it tells in its music video. but anyways. poets of the fall's music videos are allways top notch.

They really are. ❤️ it’s really interesting to dive down into their music. And I see that I should pull up their lyrics on my second monitor while listening as well perhaps, to catch more of what they mean in them. ❤️

After several viewing I'm still not sure. The song is very good, like so many of Poet's songs. The visuals are not so 'strange' in this one. As always I enjoyed your reaction and comments. 🌞👍♥🌦♥👍🌞

      Thank you, I’m glad.
This one had more layers instead of being “strange” in the visual department. I really like this one ☺️☺️

      Good suggestion, thank you. :)
I've made a Ko-Fi page for that now.
Link is in my profile, will be included in future descriptions and since I'm writing about it now I'll share it here as well.
